We spent a great week here, the location of the semi-detached house is quiet and idyllic and Hasselfelde is located overall in such a way that you can explore the whole Harz from the middle. Nice little hotel. Rooms are newly designed and furnished. The breakfast buffet and the menu selection in the evenings as part of half-board are plentiful, varied and very good. It's a beautiful hotel right next to the Blankenburg Castle. It's in 15 minutes walking distance from the train station. The room was very clean with a really nice view. My only complaint would be the wifi speed.

I felt very comfortable in this hotel. The operators are very hospitable and respond to requests. My room was very clean and modern and had a phenomenal view. Breakfast was served at the table - requests are also met here. The hotel is on top of a mountain so a car is an advantage. I always got a parking space right next to the house. Based on my positive experiences, I am here again now.

We were on a trip in the town and came across this absolutely amazing and authentic place. The food was just fire- we’ve got a roast deer with “Knödel” and a salmon on a potato patty as a starter. We booked a double room, which turned out to be a nice size studio flat. Little kitchen, big bathroom with a bathtub and massive bedroom/ living room/ dining room. We also had a nice balcony with table and chairs. The whole place is very nice, big and rustical. The road nearby can be a little noisy in the room and the reception staff could be more friendly.

This is a typical tourist hotel with the facilities you would expect for families with children. We took advantage of the sauna area and enjoyed the four types of sauna. Very friendly dutch couple hosting this hotel. Beautiful located and as a political/social scientist I was especially fascinated by the fact that this is just a few hundred meters from the old BRD/DDR-border. Here you can combine nature with fascinating historical sights. Very recommendable

We had a very nice short break in the hotel, the hotel and the garden are in a very well-kept condition I can only recommend it. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is superb. In winter you can find great slopes with ski lifts nearby. Summer leaves nothing to be desired for hikers and explorers. Have fun visiting, it's worth it!

Was there with dog for 5 nights in November. The accommodation was very good and the staff very nice. Since I came by train and was delayed, moving into the apartment later was not a problem either. Friendly reception even though we turned up without a reservation and the staff were busy with a wedding at the time. We had a choice of campsite and plenty of space (end August) and were able to wash and dry our laundry (€8 a bit much when compared with other campsites). The washrooms were a bit limited, with cooking, washing up, laundry, and chemical loo emptying all in the area of the women's toilets

We stayed one night at the Hotel Harzresidenz in December 2025. The room was clean, but unfortunately, there was some mold in the shower. The sauna was closed, which surprised us, as there were very few guests at the hotel overall, and it wouldn't have been profitable for the hotel to have it open. Breakfast was very good. We had booked the apartment/holiday apartment with two bedrooms. We didn't realize that this wasn't directly in the hotel, but 1km further away in Haus Tannengrün. When we arrived, the bed in the second bedroom was unmade. But it was done quickly after calling.
