Eriva Hotel in Acharavi

It was very much like the photo, pleasant family run hotel with pool and good restaurant. The beach is stoney and unfortunately the week before we arrived the holiday makers had the tail end of Hurricane Amy which made thesea choppy, it looked black with lots of churned up water and seaweed. Very good restaurants 5 mins walk if that from hotel, reasonably priced and catered for vegetarians and some vegans. We took trips with a company based in town Acharavi Litourgis travel went to Albanian for 45 euros each by coach and boat long day but worth it. Pick up near our hotel. Then a fab trip to a very sandy beach Paleokastritsa about 40 mins by coach with same local travel agent which cost only 20 euros each and included a trip to a nearby Monastery and a visit to the highest peak for a Belle Vue you could see for miles.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from 21st September to 5th October. Once again, we we were welcomed warmly by Emilios & Anna. Our sea facing room was basic but functional. The housemaids were friendly and attentive. The pool and bar area is the main focal point. Serving good quality food and drinks all day at a reasonable price. The Greek night was always popular and entertaining. We personally always enjoyed Nicos playing on the Accoustic Rock Evenings. All in all, we had a great time meeting up with old friends, and we are already planning our next visit. Thanks to all who looked after us.

We arrived in the middle of the night to a warm welcome from Emilios and although we had to check out in the morning on the day of our departure, which wasn't until late evening, there were shower and changing facilities for us to use later in the day. The hotel is in an amazing location to explore Corfu. Emilios organised a very reasonable priced car hire for us. We had a 2 bed apartment which was clean, tidy and functional, with a great balcony and view. Bed was comfy, hairdryer and all basic kitchen utensils provided. Only negative about the hotel was the temperamental hot water, we found having a shower outside of busy times best. We stayed for 7 nights and had our towels, sheets and room cleaned once, this was absolutely fine for us. Only two toilet rolls were provided, but it wasn't an issue to get more. The hotel is not 5*, but we didn't want 5*, instead we were more than happy with Eriva Hotel. Faros restaurant along the sea front served delicious food, however the hotel restaurant served equally as good food at reasonable prices. We never had an issue getting a sunbed around the pool and we spoke to many families and couples who have been coming to Eriva Hotel for years, we can understand why! A lovely family run hotel, with plenty of local amenities, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Thank you so much Emilios, Ana and Doula for helping to make our holiday so fantastic! The hotel is fantastic for families and our 1 year old loved zipping around the apartment and pool.

Basic but clean hotel . Lovely pool and bar area . Serves food all day , friendly and helpful staff .5 mins to the beach , restaurants and shops . Only negatives were the beds were rock hard and the shower had a mind of it's own . Could go from cold to scolding in seconds !

It’s two-star basics dressed up with a cracking location—rooms are bigger than you’d think, bathrooms are broom cupboards, and the cleaning’s half-arsed at best. Don’t expect frills, freebies, or even a bloody sponge, but the place is spotless enough, the staff are sound, and Emilio at the pool bar makes up for the bleach situation. Bottom line: dirt cheap, beach close, and exactly as advertised—basic, but it works.

Great apartment, very well located 100 meters to the sea with lots of seafront restaurants. 5 minutes walk to the town of Archaravi and supermarkets via the back of the property .20 min walk to Roda via seafront No problems getting sunbeds everyday around the pool we generally went to the pool around 10-11 am. Great food and great Greek night. We had towels changed twice a week and bins emptied everyday apart from Sunday's. We did only get 2 toilet rolls but I did bring some with me . Receptionist very helpful . We had a late flight home and we kept our 2 bed apartment on for a extra €35. My children are Gluten free due to coeliac disease and Emilio understood this very well and catered for us .If you have dietary needs speak to Emilio . 3 really good large supermarkets 5/10 mins walk.

Lovely little hotel in a great spot, due to a medical condition, I could not venture far which was great as there meals on the night where excellent and our hosts could not do enough for us, there cook did us all home cooked Greek specials to a great standard and price, rooms and bathroom are basic but perfectly adequate and I know this is something the manager is improving each year. We met a lot of guests who have been time and time again and always go back for a great holiday. Thanks Anna ferret and Emilios x

This was our 3rd visit in 3 years. The past 2 years had been in September. This visit was June/July. The weather was better and the days were a lot longer. The hotel is quite basic, but reflected in the price, but it is perfect for our needs. Clean and comfortable 2 bed apartment, nice pool, good bar and restaurant. Great hosts. Acharavi is a great area. Nice beach, but wear beach shoes for the pebbles. Lots of nice restaurants catering for all needs.

The self catering holiday was booked through Jet2 and on arrival Friday 16-05 it was absolutely lashing down with rain! The apartment was at the end of the block on the 1st floor with a sea view and came with a room with double bed and nice balcony and the other room had 2x single beds and a Juliet balcony. The kitchen was very basic 2x electric rings 1x large the other small, a standard size fridge with small freezer compartment and a kettle, no facility to make toast. TVs are in both bedrooms but all channels are Greek with no access to Sky news and the WiFi connection is very poor. However, The main thing was it was clean. The toilet/shower facilities as expected for Greece. The bar/restaurant area is located behind the pool and in my opinion, resembled a cricket pavilion/conservatory and not really appealing to sit and have a drink even with a large flat screen TV at one end. There is a good supermarket about 10 minute walk from the back of the hotel and another 5 mins walk to the centre of Acharavi. In the other direction along the beach to the left is a long walk to Roda and to the right a few bar/restaurants a couple of which are expensive food wise. If you like to lie on the sand sunbathing the sea shore is pebbly at the end of the road and there are a lot of sunbeds outside the bars for hire. I hired a car for 4 days to get out and about as there is little to do in resort other than eat, drink and shop. I must give the receptionist and the cleaning staff a lot of praise, they were lovely, helpful and always smiling. You will have to pay for tourist tax, safe key and air conditioning. There are building development sites active along the shore towards Roda to be aware of.

Just returned from our second visit to this family run hotel. Its a lovely peaceful area and the welcome from Anna and Emilios is amazing. There are some lovely restaurants nearby especially down by the sea with fabulous sunsets. That said, we ate in the hotel a couple of evenings and the standard of the food served there is equal to that served in any of the restaurants. The Greek evening on a Wednesday is brilliant and fab food is served. Hopefully we will return again as its a holiday that ticks all the boxes.
