We stayed for 7 nights in July 2025. 4 adults with 2 rooms. When we were shown to our rooms they were incredibly small, not as advertised on their website or on our booking confirmation. The rooms were located next to the boiler room and the cleaning cupboard and these rooms could be accessed by a small walkway from the street. We asked Reception if we could be moved to bigger rooms as shown on the website and which we received on our booking form. We were told there weren’t any available and that all rooms were the same size. That is untrue. The rooms overall were clean and decorated nicely but there was absolutely no space for 2 people. Next door to us (in between the 4 of us) was a solo traveller which was what these rooms were designed for. In our room one person had to sit on the bed when the other one wanted to pass each other. There wasn’t any space to put the suitcases so we were literally stepping over them. One day we left the rooms at 10am to go to Corfu town, returning at 7pm to find our door had been left opened by the cleaners all day! Where these rooms were positioned anyone from the street could have walked into the room. The pool area was ok, large pool but a bit grubby. The loungers were old and there was rubbish left around the pool area. The hotel itself was fine, clean and in a great position but sadly the size of the room did impact our holiday a bit and it became frustrating by the end of the holiday with the lack of space. We have complained to Jet2 but sadly they did not want to know. We paid a lot for the week and that’s why we felt we had to complain as the room was inadequate and it was false advertising, especially what we paid each for the week. If you are booking, especially with 2 adults sharing a room, ask for rooms away from the cleaning cupboard and boiler room.

We stayed at the Palotel Hotel 20th July 2025 for seven nights. When we booked the rooms advertised were the larger rooms. When we arrived we were shown to the rooms. I said to the receptionist it was very small she said all the rooms were the same size, obviously not the room was allocated beside the boiler room and cleaners cupboard. There were three rooms on the bottom floor my friend and I were in one room a solo traveller in the middle room and my sister and niece were in next room. The room was very clean and well decorated but extremely small you could not walk past the other person in the room you had to stand to the side or sit on the bed, my suitcase was on the floor not good when you are staying for a week. We all feel we paid a lot for the holiday and the room let it down. Also the pool area was not clean there was cigarettes and bottles left everyday.

This was a lovely family run hotel. When we first arrived it looked like a small restaurant but when we were taken to our room we were amazed at the size of the hotel. There were lifts but we were on the ground floor. Despite being near the pool and opposite the breakfast area were not disturbed by any noise.. There were plenty of sun beds around the pool area The room had balcony overlooking the pool with enough room for the table, settee and chair. The wardrobe space was adequate with plenty of drawer space. It was equipped with a fridge big enough for large bottles of water, a kettle, hairdryer, really good wifi, television and safe for which there was no additional charge. The beds were really comfy and our room was serviced everyday except Sunday and it was really clean. The breakfast was buffet style which, though not extensive in choice, was more than adequate. There were no evenings meals but they did do snacks during the day, the baclava was to die for but there. were plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from. The staff were so friendly we felt like family and did not want to leave, In fact one day we had an early start for a trip and left before breakfast and next morning the staff asked if we were OK as they had missed us the previous day. It was really well situated in that if we walked out the back lane, across the road we were at the beach. It was a shingle beach but I purchased a pair of beach shoes so it was not a problem. There were several lovely bars and restaurants together with plenty of sun-bed areas and a beach bar. It was about 15 minute walk to the marina and a 5 min walk to the top of the road for the buses. We look forward to going back and cannot fault this hotel.

This was our 3rd stay in 3 years at the Palatel Hotel. Suffice to say we've never been disappointed. This year was a bonus as by chance we were in the very same room as the 1st year. Rooms are generally a good size, although I'm aware some corner rooms are smaller. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming and remember you from previous visits. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen events the restaurant was closed in the evenings. However, breakfast was good, cooked food could be warmer but a good selection. Rooms and area were very clean. Nice size pool which is shared with the adjacent Gouvia Hotel. We love Corfu. Personally my 8th visit to the island. We shall return to the Palatel hopefully in 2026!

Just arrived home today. Hotel was OK but definitely not luxury as name suggests. We stayed at Palapart 3 years ago. Same company and far superior. Room was very small and shower tiny and inconsistent water temperature. The pool area is awful. Old tatty sunbeds. Pool actually belongs to hotel next door and Jet2 never mentioned this. Over the whole week, never saw a pool person cleaning pool or checking water cleanliness. We went to beach most days as pool area definitely not appealing. Would we return - no. Expect higher standards.

This is a basic 3 star accommodation in the centre of a slightly run down Gouvia which has been built on a postage stamp. Although our apartment was clean and modern, we were very disappointed with the balcony as there was no privacy due to the buildings being set at 45 degrees to each other, meaning the balconies where overlooked from all angles. { like living in a goldfish bowl }. The photos of the restaurant and pool area are deceiving as the restaurant is really small with a very average breakfast and the pool area, which doesn't belong to the Palotel, is dirty and smelly in places. All in all not for us as the term " Luxury " does not apply to this accommodation.

The most amazing place people and food!!! Vicky, Spyros, Ranis, Syprolituna, Simona were the gold standard of customer service. Thank you to Spyros for serving up the yummy waffles and ice cream! Vicky and her team made us feel welcome from the second we arrived. Thank you to Rania for always checking in on breakfast and keeping us happy! Highly recommend Gouvia and the Palotel hotel.

Wonderful stay here at the Palotel, the loveliest, friendliest staff, nothing was too much trouble. Great location for the beach and all the lovely tavernas. We had a nice quiet room on the top floor, you could see the sea from the balcony. You can sit out the front in the evening and enjoy and ice cream or a cocktail. We had the most delicious baklava and orange pie one night. The pool is quiet and relaxing. The hotel arranged a beautiful birthday cake and some wine for my husbands birthday, which was a lovely surprise. The perfect stay, we had a wonderful holiday, thank you.

As a light sleeper to noise , i emailed ahead asking for a high floor room preferably not one overlooking the Main Street- unfortunately we were placed ground floor room next to the water heater- this makes a very very loud noise ever 5 minutes all night and is unbearable. The bed was hard. The shower cubicle is tiny with lime scaled shower n rail but worse was the shower curtain that then sticks to you if you turn. Apart from that, the room was small but nice with great air con (that you are not allowed on if not in room) fridge and really appreciated the kettle facilities to make a brew. The breakfast was ok with choices - but same exactly daily. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and through the stay but do constantly stand over you whilst your choosing breakfast from the small buffet which makes you feel a little uncomfortable. The pool was a good size no one puts towels on loungers so always plenty however the top corner that gets most sun also is next to the septic tank which does omit some foul odours at times. The location in gouvia is perfect- on the main ***** but this is a low key Greek ***** and also 2mins to beach. Buses 5mins up side of hotel to Corfu, dassia and Ipsos with regular service and cheap. If we had a better positioned room we would probably have had a different sleep experience but the room next to water heater is unbearable noise wise so we’re disappointed overall with our stay sadly.
