Opera House Hotel in Symi

Our stay at the Opera House Hotel was outstanding from start to finish. The location is perfect – central and convenient, yet quiet enough to truly relax. It made exploring the area effortless, with everything we needed just a short walk away.

The staff were wonderful – warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcome.

The atmosphere throughout the hotel is inviting, with a calm charm that sets the tone for a relaxing stay. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. It felt like every detail was considered, from the layout to the little touches.

Breakfast was a highlight – plentiful, fresh, and delicious, with options to suit every taste.

Considering the quality, the prices are very reasonable, offering great value for money.

We left with only positive impressions and would happily recommend the Opera House Hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and exceptional hospitality in a great location.

Where do you start? Second time staying at this lovely place. Esmeralda is such a lovely lady and should be rightly proud of her hotel. Beautiful room overlooking the rooftop bar. The pool area is lovely. There is nothing that I didn’t like. Hopefully we will return to Symi in a few years time and we will definitely stay at the Opera House 🥂

Fantastic location, set back from the Harbour but just a few minutes walk, where you can get water taxis to all the main beaches and where there are lots of shops and tavernas.

We eagerly awaited our return to Opera House after 4 years and we weren’t disappointed we were greeted warmly by our host and owner Esmeralda and the two Anna’s on reception it was as if we’d never been away and we were very appreciative that both couples were given an upgraded suite with large spacious rooms. The hotel remains the same apart from the addition of a beautiful pool and spa complex with the most comfortable sunbeds ever. The hotel is just a short walk from the buzz of the main town yet remains peaceful and quiet with the sounds of the goats in the mountains behind. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the rooms are well equipped with great showers and clean fluffy towels every day. Breakfast is buffet style with everything you could wish for and provides both hot and cold food of every description. We dined at the family run Kavos restaurant and were kindly given lifts there and back due to a mobility problem but again this is walkable and we would recommend the food is good and freshly cooked. The hosts and staff are all friendly, helpful and cannot do enough to make your stay perfect thank you we will return.

Amazing hotel, large comfy beds in a superb location, staff were so friendly too. Their pool is also lovely. 10/10 hotel, no faults at all. I highly recommend this hotel.

We have just had a lovely stay at the Opera House hotel in Symi The location is not far from the busy port area but was very peaceful and quiet All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and new bed linen every couple of days - while the rooms we stayed in was not large it was more than adequate for our needs and we quickly settled in First night I could not get the air conditioning to come on but it was my fault as the receptionist had told me that all of the windows had to be shut for it to work so that's one to remember if you stay here There is a small but beautiful pool that is ideal for just relaxing in between our trips on the beach taxis which we used most days along with the bus to pedi and walking up to the old village of Symi (lots of steps!) and to the beach at nimborious A lovely place and one we would recommend

Arrive in Symi unexpectedly with my family and walk in and book at the hotel. The rooms clean and spacious the hotel was in very good condition and the location with in walk distance to the stores and the boats. The staff very helpful and polite . Breakfast was exceptionally good and all the ingredients fresh . Ideal for family

The lovely welcoming owners are rightly proud of this hotel with its beautiful neo-classical houses, stunning and peaceful garden setting, spectacular views of Symi all around, and a new, very stylish pool and treatment area. Our twin room had really comfortable beds, great air conditioning, shower, fridge, everything we could possibly need. Sheets and towels were changed every day. The buffet breakfast was vast, with constantly refreshed hot and cold foods. All the busy staff, housekeeping, catering, gardening, maintenance, etc, were so polite and always had a cheery Kalimera or Kalispera when passing by. A special mention and thanks for all the advice and information to Anna and Esmerelda from the front of house team. Both were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be back!

Lovely, friendly hotel with nice rooms and great hosts. Great location for those not wanting lots of steps. 5 mins walk from the front and at the bottom of the old path up to the village and castle.
