Green Bay Hotel in Sami

The hotel is barely a hotel. We booked it to be a stop over before taking the ferry from Sami early the next morning. We knew we would arrive just after their reception closed and leave before they opened ( they’re open from 8am to 00:00 )

1. We called in advance twice to let them know. They said it would be no problem - key would be in the door. Their staff didn’t communicate and therefore the poor night staff had no idea what time we would arrive.
2. As soon as he gave us to the key - I went to the room. There were no towels. It was 30 degrees C and my family and I were rather desperate to shower l after a long trip.
3. There was a fridge in the main bedroom which had been unpowered and therefore the whole bedroom floor was in a pool of water.

I went to the reception - closed. Called the hotel. No answer. Contacted trip.com and no surprise - they couldn’t get hold of the hotel or the intermediate partner (???) the hotel claims no responsibility. The cost was 180 Euros for an uncomfortable, unpleasant room, with bo towels and a pool on the floor. Beware of staying at this hotel. They charge too much and don’t really care for their customers.

My room had a lot of bugs. It also looked dirty, and very outdated for the price. I would not recommend.

If I could, I would rate it worse. They were a lot of butterflies and moths at the building. It was really dirty and we found some dirt on the bed sheets. I also found a stranger’s hair on my bed, which was horrible. There wasn’t enough water pressure and was really hard to take a shower. Everything is very old and dirty. The A/C wasn’t working properly and wasn’t good. The price is too high for that. I wouldn’t recommend you to stay there. I guess the only good thing was the vie to the sea. It was a horrible experience and I suggest you to stay away from this place!
