Corfu Hellinis Hotel in Corfu Town

Where to start?? Entrance quite nice, rooms shockingly sh*t. Dark, dingy and stinky. Bathroom has a government health warning on it. Can't swing a cat, has open drain in floor and no plug hole, couple of pipes sticking out of wall dripping something disgusting that smells really awful loads of mozzies, you will get chomped, indoors and out, so be prepared!!! Big screw banged into floor to act as a doorstop. Dangerous All inclusive doesn't include Whiskey,Brandy, Gin or Vodka, bottled water or lounger towels. Food okay ish and plentiful but, at best lukewarm. Staff were pretty miserable, but, to be fair, I'd be as well if I had to work there. Reception staff are totally indifferent and lack any warmth and could barely manage a greeting, let alone a smile. There's absolutely no entertainment at all, and diddly squat for children, and i mean diddly ( not even a swing or a bit of grass to kick a ball). It is NOT disabled friendly either, so please bear both of above in mind. In short the Hellinis Hotel lacks personality and atmosphere. (And a lot of other things) Corfu is a beautiful island and I feel you'll get far better value for your hard earned pennies if you booked elsewhere. (Also it's really close to the airport....it may say 5-6 kilometres away on the write up, but that's by road.....as the crow flies, less than half a K) so can be a bit noisy. Bus stop just to the right outside main entrance. €2 each way into town, definitely worth a visit. Buses run every 20 minutes, last bus back 11pm. Also on the way to bus stop, steps on the left to a lane. Follow the lane, about a 10 minutes walk,( you will be walking parallel with the runway) there's a lovely little "beach" at the end. Fab place to have a drink/lunch and a paddle, plus a bit of plane spotting. I realise that reviews are mixed on this hotel, and this is only my humble opinion, as I see it. Good Luck.

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy! Although you cant fault the staff they were all very welcoming. The rooms are small, The bathrooms are dated mouldy and smell like sewage. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Unless your a size zero then you will struggle in the shower. There is minimal choice for food and this is all served cold! The drinks machines in the restaurant dont look like they have ever been cleaned! We had to eat out everyday! The pool area however appears to be the cleanest part of the hotel and is nice to sit around, as long as you protect yourself from the mosquito’s. They seem to enjoy the hotel more than the holiday makers! Limited drinks on the AI but we knew that before we booked. When people say dont listen to the bad reviews they are lying. Listen to them. This is a budget hotel not worth spending your money on. What did make are holiday is all the new friends we made. We all had one thing in common, the hate of the hotel.

Just got back from 4 nights at the Hellinis Hotel. Hotel is very tired and needs refurbishing. The room was ok, however it only got cleaned once the whole time we were there. The bathrooms are smelly so bring an air freshener. Shower is absolutely tiny but there was always hot water. Beds were rock hard, and upon further inspection there were blood stains on the mattress. Broken hairdryer in bathroom but thankfully someone had left a travel hairdryer in the drawers. The food was bland, not even a toaster so just had bread and Nutella in the morning. Ice cream was amazing though! All inclusive drinks were just beer, kumquat, ouzo, wine iced coffee and flat fizzy drinks. Top tip, 2 minute walk up the road are a shop and a few restaurants that we ate at every night which was perfect. To the people moaning about the noise of the airplanes, you can see before booking that it's literally next to the runway. This didn't bother us at all, and couldn't even hear them at night and did not wake us up. All in all, I wouldn't return, but for what we paid it was mere adequate.

Honestly, I don't knownwhere to start. The rooms were dirty and smelled of sewage due to the open drainage in the actual bathroom. It was awful and unbearable. The bathroom itself was sp dirty filled woth ants and moulds everywhere. The shower was smaller than the old fashion red phone booth with a dirty old shower curtain that frankly you didn't want to touch. We booked for a double bed and got two single ones on wheels. This is more of a hostel than a hotel 💯 Plus, it is directly next to the runway of the Corfu International Airport so believe me when I say you can literally read every word on each plane and hear the pilot fart. Every take off and landing on the day or night upto 12:45am at times you will know about and see that plane. Trust me, this is no fun listening to see all day every day! All inclusive only allows you draught beer in a plastic see-through throw away half pint cup. A local wine in yes the plastic throw away cup and soft drinks also in the plastic cups. No cans of drinks and you have to pay for a bottle of water. I don't normally do this, but I strongly feel that everyone needs to know exactly what they are getting when they go to this place. As for the food in that hotel, well wow what an embarrassment. School dinners are better than that... We had to go out to eat which was the highlight of our holiday, but after paying for all inclusive, you shouldn't have to be doing that. Such a poor experience for our first time there.

Room was only cleaned once in 5 days and when I say cleaned they folded the sheets, they didnt give us new towels untill we asked, they also didnt not provide us with enough toilet paper, the all inclusive alcoholic drinks were poor and the food was not very nice.
