I can't quite believe how many 5 star reviews this place gets, bearing in mind the lack of facilities. This was an expensive holiday, so I think it fair to have expected more, especially as this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Amazing staff, extremely freindly, Always going out of their way to help. Relaxed, unassuming atmosphere. Amazing location, on a nice little beach and yet twenty minutes drive to town. You will need a car or use taxis. Small place which was great for us. Rooms are a little less luxurious than more expensive places but that gave just the right ambience. Excellent breakfast. We have just returned from a very special holiday at Asterion Suites. The staff here are absolutely exceptional & could not do enough for you. Beautifully clean everywhere and amazing rooms. The food was great but could’ve been hotter, which was a bit of a shame as it was presented & cooked beautifully. Wonderful location, 2 minutes to the beach. Excellent services and competent staffs. Food was delicious as well, and cats will stare at you when you eat. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Maleme Mare, right from the friendly welcome. The staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely hotel, clean team Cody with fresh towels, comfortable loungers by the pool, pool was always spotless. Buffet food was a good standard but did get a bit repetitive. Tip if you want to get the bus into Chania the best way is to go behind the hotel their is lane/ally that lead to the main road the bus top is opposite a mini supermarket

Food was ok, ice cream and drinks were local, not so good. The worst thing was that my engagement and wedding rings stolen from room. Of course my own fault that I did not put it to safety box, but not very reliable staff. The chief of hotel says that there is no thiefs and I have myself lose it somewhere.

Fun hotel with great staff and team. There is no hot tub- It’s been closed “since Covid”… but still listed in the booking. Also Extra charge not mentioned in the booking for beach loungers and umbrellas. Pools were great. Food was very good. First of all the apartment and the whole property is spotless, very clean and tidy and beautiful, Nektaria the host is just an amazing lady, very friendly, helpful, you feel that she is your friend the moment you meet her. We were meticulous in choosing our hotel and read thousands of reviews. But this hotel exceeded all our expectations. The rooms were very clean, cozy, and comfortable, just like home! We stayed at Solon Apartments to be able to travel every day by car to different directions. The location for that purpose was perfect. Very calm complex easy to access and walk to the beach and a few restaurants. The appartment was very spacious ans clean.
