We were worried as we booked there for the water park but on jet 2 looking into it they were keeping the park open with the rest of the resort shutting. This is a great and clean hotel complex. We didn't do the all inclusive although the breakfast buffett covered all bases. The swimming pools offer variety and the beach is fantastic to visit around 4pm/5pm when it is a little cooler. The staff who cleaned are room were amazing and very friendly.

If you have a family, it's a great place for you. The beach was RIGHT there! Clean, safe and beautiful. The sea was stunning, you could see the seabed through the water. Lots of activities for kids, day and evening. The food was also very good, breakfast and all. About 35-40 minutes to Chania by bus. You can also rent a car to travel to other parts of the island.

We stayed at Thalassa for 3 nights and had an awesome experience. The resort was really beautiful with multiple restaurants and a beautiful beach. The main Platanias village on a hill is a 15 minute walk and Chania is 30 minutes away on regular crowded buses (with a stop right outside). The structure, for the external part, is really very beautiful, with large spaces and a beautiful beach. The two swimming pools are basically only usable by children, since they are not very big. The rooms leave much to be desired in terms of comfort: we stayed in the residence area and they are very spartan (small wardrobe for 4, uncomfortable beds).

I visited the hotel twice. In both visits, I enjoyed a wonderful week at this hotel and I highly recommend it. We spent two nights in this very nice, family-run hotel. Service was super-friendly always with a smile. We had one of the newly renovated rooms which was really good for our family of four. The location is good and the breakfast is barely acceptable. There are two disadvantages. First, there is no sea view. Second, the front desk is a bit inconvenient at 8 am and 10 pm. If you go out every day or work, and just sleep in the room, it is actually a good choice.

The hotel is located in a lively neighborhood of Platanias with lots of dining options nearby. The room is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, staff very accommodating. Terrific location close to beaches and transportation. 15 minutes to Chania by bus. Very safe area with great choice of restaurants with traditional Greek food.

Sweet and friendly staff, backyard to the pool was lovely to chill on, rooftop was pretty and spacious, location by a lot of tavernas and pubs, only minus from the air condition that used to leak some nights, didn’t really bother us we just put something under so it wasn’t leaking on the floor

This was out first trip to Crete. And we are SO please with this hotel!! Nice clean rooms in a very authentic style. The owner, the receptionist and the cleaning lady made us feel right at home. They were so nice to us. Very helpful and and made us feel right at home. We will definetly return!!

Heartful service and all in all, a decent hotel to relax with the family. Central location in Platanias is a huge plus as well, while being still quiet. Roof terrace was a cool addition as well, and guests are welcome to stay and store luggage even after check out, which was indeed helpful to us.

The apartment was good enough, there was not much space in the bathroom.

Modest but clean place. Very friendly staff. Location is very centered. Pool is with icy water, not suitable for children due the temperature. Upstairs rooms have to use street pavement to get there, this is not cool. Wifi is quite poor.

A fantastically built hotel with all the amenities and proximity to everything and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Nice hustle and bustle without being loud - familiar and respectful. Almost felt like an all inclusive - if you don't need it you don't have to go further than the supermarket across the street to buy things if you don't want to. I have been staying in toxo several times and looking foward (hopefully) doing it again this coming summer 2025. Hotel is located nicely close to the beach, supermarkets, restaurants etc. Also bus to Chania is very close. Hotel has 2x pools and it's not too bad to get yourself a spot by one of the pools. Arrived very late and reception was closed but rang the phone number and manager arrived to show us to our room. Large apartment, 2 storey with 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with 3 balconies. 2 double beds and air con in each room including the lounge area. We had a lovely week at Aetheras Beach, Dimitris took care of us in an excellent way.
