We just had our second family holiday at Marine Palace and were once again very happy with everything. The location, the food and service is great!

Lovely hotel for a family holiday. Between the pools, water park and beach our water babies were in heaven; with the inclusively priced cocktails we were too! Delicious and great range of food in the buffet

Do book on arrival if want full choice of alternative dining options. Appreciated being able to get snacks for the kids during the day

The only slight negative we found was the lack of lactose-free yoghurt, which was surprising given the multitude of options otherwise

We have had a great time at this hotel. Plenty of great dining options, multiple swimming pools, sea access was great

Perhaps the biggest highlight was the staff, they were lovely and super helpful any time we needed anything

Half board doesn’t include drinks at dinner, only at breakfast. Staff seemed happy to provide water though, and the hot drinks machine was OK to use, they had a good selection of teas

The sofa bed had an issue as the cushions separated at night, and we needed to move it to avoid drips from the air con. We loved having a fridge in our room to keep drinks cool when we got back from our trips

Door entrance in ours was now at ghe rear and led into a room with bed settee, cupboard and air conditioning plus light switch system that did away with the slot card system of old and even lighted display by ghe door to indicate room OK for cleaner or do not disturb

We’ve been half board for a week here. We’ve used it as a base to visit the island (we booked direct and booked flights and car hire separately), most of the guests here are on AI package breaks

Yes the main hotel is ready for renovation, but it’s been absolutely fine for us. The bathroom has already been upgraded, and everything was super clean and functional. Lots of toiletries provided and fresh towels daily

The food itself has been fabulous - we tried lots of Greek and Cretan dishes, and loved the variety of fish and grilled meats, as well as the salad bar and fruits / cheese

Wonderful position, brilliant staff - nothing is a problem, and food is good. My kind of hotel where guests and staff are all very happy!

Absolutely superb hotel with staff who really care. The hotel is spotless, and we stayed in room 742, a beach front Bungalow. Brilliantly designed with breathtaking view. The room was cleaned every day

This is an antiquated and ridiculous rule that needs to be changed ASAP. Special mention also to Nikki at the pool bar who was utterly fantastic- a really caring individual who loves her job a was a joy to be around

Good location and food was really delicious. For a week, there were plenty of options and enjoyed mixing the buffet for a couple of evening meals at the onsite restaurants

The hotel is spotless, the grounds are beautiful, and the views of the sea are breathtaking. Every part of the resort felt so well cared for. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday

From our point of view we hope that this calm atmosphere never changes as even when the hotel is full to capacity it never feels so - in fact the hotel just seems to absorb the crowds and remains therapeutically relaxing and laid back

1) Location : The Royal Blue is just an oasis of calm , tucked away in an unspoilt area of Crete. There are no tavernas nearby or rowdy bars so this is not for you if you are looking for a party hotel

The restaurant staff are always attentive at breakfast- special mention to Rokas and Katarina who looked after us every morning, remembering our drinks orders without us having to say a word

Best buffet in the world!!! Truly we couldn’t stop eating haha . Our room was very nice. Lovely pools . Really kids and family friendly. The water park is amazing also for adults

Then, behind the screen, it turns out that this particular villa is located right next to the shared outdoor air conditioning unit and the cable car service center! It's good that they noticed the noise right away and immediately requested a replacement, but apparently all the villas were occupied beforehand, along with full booking and so on

It's good that they were smart enough to demand the room they booked. Hurray, they gave it to you, but an hour and a half had already passed, and naturally, dinner was missed

My stay at The Royal Senses Hotel in Crete was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home

Good hotel next to the sea The hotel is really close to the shore. There is a little private beach but it is full of rocks and pebbles. If you want to snorkelling it is a good place with many waves and clear water

Not much of a beach at the hotel but again there are a couple down in the village Overall a fantastic find for us excellent value for money- basic but that is what we wanted Thank you Stella Beach we hope to see you again Helene Thornton

The room wasn't appropriately clean but they cleaned every day and if we needed something, they helped. The breakfast was good especially the beans and fruits. We booked a sea-view room and it was fantastic

A lovely friendly family run hotel, nothing is too much trouble. We booked a basic room which was lovely and clean for myself and my daughter. We were very happy with it but then we had trouble with the shower and toilet

The beach is very close and secluded and the water is clear and nice. The small town is a short walk away with few restaurants and a port. The staff was very nice and helpful with everything

I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews on this place it really is a hidden gem, situated in the heart of panormos a stone's throw from the beach and Tavernas it is one of the most relaxing places you can visit, the rooms are basic but immaculate all with a balcony and all you need whilst on holiday, the breakfast is a mixture of items that are baked by Maria who for us is the star of the show...

The Greek people working here are very nice! It seems to me they are always ready to do something more for the guests. The view is great. I also like the level of hygiene. There's a small but cosy yard with a pool.

My daughter and I had a wonderful week here at Marelina Villas. It was lovely and quiet, the rooms were basic but clean. The staff (especially Athena) were great

Marelina Villas is better than we could have imagined, and absolutely perfect for a family looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, despite the peak of the school holidays everything is unhurried and not crowded, the apartments well appointed, clean and comfortable, very helpful friendly staff and plenty of good quality reasonably priced food in the local tavernas

Excellent few days away as a group of 14 of us - Ralph and his colleagues looked after us brilliantly - accommodated us with seating us altogether. Breakfast was delicious every morning, dinner options were lovely too

We had a room with a sea view which I would recommend over the inland view, which was regularly cleaned and kept spotless. Overall the warmth of all at Kirki shone through

A special mention goes out to Toto, who lit up our day / evening , a gentleman and a real character who left guests smiling and laughing in his wake

The roof top swimming pool and chill out area was beautiful and the sauna was hugely appreciated. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable

I would definitely suggest a stay here to all the travellers out there. Everything was excellent, very friendly stuff , very clean ... Fresh juice at breakfast and handmade cretan pies! Something to remember.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight, with a varied selection of local products that changed daily. The staff were kind, attentive, and highly professional

Our evenings were spent wandering out from the hotel and down the pretty stone road for just 200 metres to the excellent Olive Tree Bar for cocktails and draft Mythos before heading off to one of the many excellent tavernas for dinner - all within easy walking distance

Great little hotel with very good and friendly staff - Nicky, Julie and Victoria. Situated in small Cretan village with outstanding restaurants, nice shops with small and safe nearby beaches

The pool is small, spotlessly clean and perfect for dipping into to cool off in on hot afternoons when we came back from a day out. We spent most of our days at Spilies Beach which is a short drive from the hotel

Would highly recommend a drive into the mountains up to Margarites and on to the Museum of Archeology at Eleftherna. A day trip to Rethymnon was also a good day out
