Z Boutique Hotel in Panormos

Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The setting was very calm. The ideal place to relax. Breakfast was a highlight, with a varied selection of local products that changed daily. The staff were kind, attentive, and highly professional.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was peaceful, with a warm and welcoming vibe that felt like visiting a Greek family villa with a pool and beautiful garden. Breakfasts were exceptional – every day offered a different selection of regional products, many of them vegetarian. The staff was both professional and genuinely friendly. Nearby, there are great restaurants and beaches, as well as a scenic trekking route perfect for watching the sunset.

What an amazing place to stay!
This gem is somewhat hidden in the narrow streets of Panormo, but once past the door you enter a fantastic interior. Authenticity and modern accents that fit together seamlessly, light colors, hidden corners and a beautiful garden create a wonderful experience.
However, it is mainly the hostesses who ensure that you also experience "Crete".

We LOVED everything about Z Boutique Hotel The location is perfect - at the quiet end of a street which leads straight into the heart of the beautiful village of Panormos. The hotel itself is tastefully converted with exposed stonework and beautifully decorated and furnished throughout and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are to die for! The most interesting choice of foods I've ever known on a breakfast buffet and every day there was something new to try. Everything was prepared by the wonderful Nikki or her lovely daughter Nancy and beautifully presented and plentiful. This is a true gem of a hotel managed by Nikki - a charming and vibrant woman whose hospitality was second to none, who was incredibly helpful and was also tremendous fun with a great sense of humour. We stayed in the Silene suite on the top floor of the hotel. It has a private and very large terrace overlooking the garden and plunge pool. It was simply perfect! We breakfasted every morning in the garden which is really peaceful - it was a lovely way to start each day. There are several sun beds in the garden surrounding the plunge pool. The pool is small, spotlessly clean and perfect for dipping into to cool off in on hot afternoons when we came back from a day out. We spent most of our days at Spilies Beach which is a short drive from the hotel. Would highly recommend a drive into the mountains up to Margarites and on to the Museum of Archeology at Eleftherna. A day trip to Rethymnon was also a good day out. Our evenings were spent wandering out from the hotel and down the pretty stone road for just 200 metres to the excellent Olive Tree Bar for cocktails and draft Mythos before heading off to one of the many excellent tavernas for dinner - all within easy walking distance. So don't even pause before booking a stay at Z Boutique Hotel if you're looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in a quiet typically Cretan village where there are so many great places to eat.

Recommended by a friend. now recommending ourselves. Great little hotel with very good and friendly staff - Nicky, Julie and Victoria. Situated in small Cretan village with outstanding restaurants, nice shops with small and safe nearby beaches. Weather was very hot which was a welcome break before the winter. Used inexpensive taxis rather than the local buses (overcrowded). Cannot speak too highly for this little gem of a hotel. Fully believe the excellent reviews. Most recommended!

What a little gem! Our room was absolutely stunning and very comfy. Nikki greeted us very warmly upon arrival and was very helpful in providing dining options in the area. So happy we stayed at this hotel. Hoping to return for a longer period next time.

The hotel was very clean and charming. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located in a small quiet oceanside village in the downtown area. We loved the night life - the main streets were closed and the restaurants pulled out tables and chairs in the middle of the street. There was also a little convenience store just a few steps from the hotel with really reasonable prices. We could not ask for a better experience. We hope to stay at the hotel again when we return to Crete.

The Z Boutique hotel is wonderful. They were very accommodating with our late check in due to a delayed ferry. Our room (Silene) was beautiful, and very comfortable. Above all else, the kindness and friendliness we experienced was extraordinary. We got excellent recommendations on activities, local restaurants and beaches. The breakfasts were so delicious — always something new to try on each of our four days — they even created a boxed package for us to take when we checked out extra early on our last day. Nikki, Julia and the cleaning staff were always so kind and welcoming. Highly, highly recommended!

This is an excellent hotel with very friendly staff and cleaning personnel. The breakfast is fantastic and accommodation is clean and very nice, close to good restaurants and beaches. This is an ideal spot to explore the area with MTB or car or just relax.
