The Royal Blue a Luxury Beach Resort in Panormos

I am a 5 star hotel traveller had many an experience good and bad, we ad a fantastic stay and we're treated with loving care throughout our stay, five star + to all the staff who made or stay a special experience ... we have no hesitation in recommending The Blue Star Resort and Spa, Crete

If they say ‘Home is where the heart is’ then The Royal Blue has certainly become our second home as it steals a small piece of our hearts every time we leave . This was our 4th visit in two years and people ask us why we keep returning to the same place . I guess these are the reasons .. 1) Location : The Royal Blue is just an oasis of calm , tucked away in an unspoilt area of Crete. There are no tavernas nearby or rowdy bars so this is not for you if you are looking for a party hotel . Instead you’ll find peace, tranquility , sea views and sunsets to die for and restaurants offering amazing fresh food . From our point of view we hope that this calm atmosphere never changes as even when the hotel is full to capacity it never feels so - in fact the hotel just seems to absorb the crowds and remains therapeutically relaxing and laid back . 2) The staff : from the moment you walk through the front doors you just feel as if your troubles melt away . You are met by smiling reception staff who genuinely are pleased to welcome you . These smiles are on all the staff throughout the hotel despite it being the end of the season . The restaurant staff are always attentive at breakfast- special mention to Rokas and Katarina who looked after us every morning, remembering our drinks orders without us having to say a word. Another mention to Dinitris who always seemed to be around at check in and check out to move our luggage with a smile and a joke . Every slick operation has a powerhouse behind the scenes and, in this case, that is the Guest Relations Manager , Anastasia . She works tirelessly to ensure the face of the hotel is always warm and professional. If you are fortunate enough to meet her then you will encounter a smile and an attitude that is wonderfully warm and friendly. You know that she will do her utmost to ensure your stay is as perfect as possible. 3) The beach : this is one of the best assets as it’s sheltered from the sea and so is accessible even when the winds are high and other beaches are red-flagged. The major beach attraction is the beach manager, Vasillis. Nothing is too much trouble and he provides a true 5 star service whether you’re relaxing in a cabana or sitting on the sand. This year he was joined by his young protégé, Grigoris who was doing a season after completing his national service. The two of them were the perfect double act and we couldn’t have felt more looked after. In summary The Royal Blue is the perfect destination for a truly relaxing holiday but what truly makes it is the staff and there are two individuals who need singling out because they truly understand what five star service means - Anastasia and Vasillis , thank you once again for treating us like royalty for the week . We are both incredibly grateful to you both and I hope The Royal Blue realises what gems it has amongst its staff . See you next year for visit 5 !!

ALERT! ⚠️ There is a serious risk that you will NOT want to go back home after staying at The Royal Blue Resort & Spa! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome and at home. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, and when our child got sick during the stay, they went above and beyond to support us and accommodate our needs — something we will never forget. The buffet was excellent, with great variety and quality, and the resort itself had everything we could possibly wish for. It is the kind of place where you can just relax, enjoy the sunshine, the good food, and the wonderful service without feeling the need to go anywhere else. We would love to come back again one day — thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special!

Me and my best friend had another awesome stay at the Royal Blue Resort & Spa, aka our second home. Normally we bring a few other veterans, but they were busy this time. So this stay, although each day was a celebration of life, it was more mentally relaxing and enjoyable. Life is short, so we decided to put our hard earned money together and stay in the Azure Residence and see how the other half live. All visual and comfortability expectations were well surpassed. This Residence is truly at the VIP level. The staff, at every level, in every resort station (lobby, guest relations, housekeeping, dining hall, restaurants, bars, resort store) of hospitality, already treat guest like VIPs, regardless of the level of your Room, Suite, or Residence. For me the Azure Residence added to my VIP experience. Seeing my favorite Royal Blue staff members again made my visit seem more like I’m coming home to family and old friends. This also adds to my experience. In all my visits and vacations around the world, the staff’s treatment and hospitality at the Royal Blue Resort & Spa is unmatched, and I appreciate it more and more with each visit.

It‘s a lovely Hotel. Our first room was close to the air condition and quite loud. But we talked to reception and for a new room. We Head a lovely view and they Tool care for us. We enjoyed our Holiday!

A meeting of the clan. Two of our adult children flew in from London and two from Australia. Add in a few partners and we ended up in 4 different rooms across eight people. Whilst we tried our best to confuse the wonderful concierge team with a few moving parts they were super helpful and patient. Thanks to Maria and her colleagues . The facilities and room were fantastic . The sports facilities, tennis courts as an example are well maintained and first class. There are many varied options to swim and rest on sun beds and despite the resort being full , we always found a good place to enjoy the sunshine. My only concern when I booked was the buffet style dinners but in the end we all agreed Symposium provided delicious food that changed every night. The three adults boys were in heaven and two pescataerans in the party were equally delighted. In the end we mixed and matched going outside the resort one of our seven nights and two of the resort restaurants ( both excellent) with the balance Symposium. Breakfast is at Symposium and it caters for every conceivable taste and culture including eggs delivered in literally 9 different ways! We all enjoyed either a massage or facial at the health spa which was also manned by very professional and patient staff. Overall when you book and pay for 8 people across 4 different rooms you have to hit the mark! And let’s face it, it can be hard to please everyone. But everyone , much to my relief, rated the resort , staff and the holiday very very highly! Thank you again to the team at Royal Blue Resort, Crete.

We just came back from The Royal Blue and I would like to say we really enjoyed our stay. It is a very beautiful hotel. The rooms are very spacious, with balcony. The staff is extremly friendly, hemofilia, always smiling snd willing to help. We also liked the beach, is perfect for children. 5 minutes distance by car to the closest village, where you can find restaurants and shops.

I had a wonderful rest and will come back again...

Beautiful hotel resort with excellent food and great service. Peaceful beach and sea with no sunbed issues. The private beach is a real highlight, together with incredible staff of Ammos Beach bar. Special thanks to Vasilis Koukias - the Beach manager, for his warmth, care and hospitality, he made our stay together with his "beach kids" unforgettable The hotel food was amazing, a wide selection of dishes, excellent quality, together with the aforementioned private beach, they represented two top moments of our stay. The only small discomfort we had was the music from Thea Coctail Bar every evening, which at certain moments and certain genres seemed disturbing during our evening stay on the terrace. Ultimately, however, we recommend visiting the hotel, thanks to its windless location, private beach, amazing food, staff and charming and clean hotel resort. Amazing experience, we will definitely come back here.
