Loved to stay here
Room was extremely lovely. Me and my friend had great time staying here. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Chekc in and out were the easiest ever. Will come back!

the place is a little quirky and they don't take credit cards, but our room was fine. The owners are pleasant and the location is good. The air conditioning struggled, but it was adequate. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Easy walk from the port

Great place from which to explore the island. Beaches and restaurants at your doorstep. Quaint little hotel with a beautiful garden, run by the most friendly of families. I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms which were kept spotless over the course of our stay. And at night we enjoyed the BBQ facilities, looking forward to returning some day

What a pleasant surprise. It lived up to all the reviews I read. The location excellent, the rooms clean and steeped in Greek Island charm and the garden area a little piece of paradise. Georgia the owner was a real pro and made the time we stayed there a dream. Georgia we loved the Octopus Tree you were right!!!!

The best place to stay in Ios so far! The villa is perfectly located just a short walk from the port and only a few steps from the local beach. Everything you need is within easy reach. The amazing family that runs this business truly goes above and beyond to help with anything you need. I can’t wait to come back soon!

Friendly service.
The room was comfortable and very convenient to the port which was ideal for me as I had to catch a ferry the next day. The best thing about the guest house was the hospitality of the host, zeta, I think her name was. She was very friendly and helpful and made my stay there very enjoyable and comfortable.

Lovely stay!
We had a lovely stay at Villa Mata. The woman was very welcoming and put our bags in the room for us ready for check in. The room was very nice and the decoration around the villa made it feel very homely and lovely. Would definitely stay again.

This property was wonderful and the owner is so kind and helpful. It's like a 5 minute walk from both the beach and the bus stop to other towns, and is only like 8 minutes away from the port. I had a wonderful stay, and the whole property is so pretty and scenic.

The hotel is very flowery and decorated throughout, making the atmosphere warm and inviting from the first glance. Everything has been thought out to the smallest detail to make it practical and comfortable. The rooms are very nice, very clean and very quiet, they are just super pleasant. The host is very friendly, gives very good advice and is very willing to help (even at 4 am... oops). We felt at home and, as 5 young girls, absolutely safe in this little "residence". All this just 5 minutes walk from a supermarket, 5 minutes from the bus stop that takes you to the village and various beaches, 10-15 minutes walk from the center of Chora and just 2 minutes from the nearest beach. What could be better? We loved our stay at Villa Mata and would highly recommend this hotel. See you soon, I hope! :)

Villa Mata made our stay in Ios so much better. It’s a beautiful place that is wonderfully decorated and located at the port, which is very close to the main village but still has a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It also is located right at one of Ios’ beaches and a bus stop, making the whole island accessible from there. The rooms were also cleaned every day. The people working at Villa Mata were incredibly nice. As 5 girls, we felt very safe. On the last night, one of our friends locked us out of our room and fell asleep. We came home at 4 AM and were not able to enter our room anymore. Thankfully, we could call the owner, who made the effort to drive to the place and help us enter the apartment. Thank you again for the wonderful stay! We hope to see you again :) - Bengel
