The owners are the kindest people and made us feel so welcomed! The location is so perfect with the pool and the beach right on your front door. Was super clean and we loved our stay!

Very nice hotel in a great position in front of the beach. We had a little problem at the first night but the owner solve it. Suggested!

We stayed here with 4 teenage girls and 4 women. The accommodations were great. The owners were amazing! Katerina made us a breakfast that was absolutely delicious. The place felt like home away from home. The beach was right across the street with very affordable beach clubs with chairs umbrellas and food! Great restaurants around the hotel also. The whole experience was lovely and I would definitely stay here again.

Mare Monte was a dream. It is a beautiful property, steps away from the beach with stunning views. Rooms are clean and the hosts (Lambros, Nikki, Katerina) are wonderful. They were very responsive, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Ios!

We stayed at Mare Monte for 10 days, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. There was no hot water so we all had cold showers, another issue occurred when fake tan ended up on the bed sheets. Although most of the stains came out after washing, we were still fined £120. When we questioned the charge and refused to pay it immediately, the receptionist threatened to call the police Throughout our stay, the cleaner failed to provide fresh towels and didn’t change the sheets for most of our time there. Basic housekeeping standards were not met. Overall, this place seems more focused on squeezing money out of guests than providing a comfortable or welcoming stay. I would not recommend Mare Monte to anyone — it felt like a money-making scheme targeting at young people. As we were talking to older residents that lived there and they also said they got stains on sheets and didn’t get fined.

Fabulous place! Absolutely beautiful grounds, rooms are simple but tasteful and Katerina & Lambros (don't forget Nicky!) totally epitomise Greek hospitality, it's like staying with friends! Add to that the great value, perfect location and you have a total winner!!! Can't wait to go back!

An amazing, peaceful, beautiful spot. Close to the port and across the road from the beach. The rooms are simple but clean, and the view from my balcony was amazing.

I was recommended to spend time here by a friend and I'm grateful to him. Sure, it's basic and no-frills, but that's reflected in the price. What's not reflected is the cleanliness, the hotel layout, the location and the hospitality of Lambros and Katerina, a lovely couple for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Perfect hotel, close to the beach, family run and cosy. The rooms are cleaned daily and there is parking nearby.
You just need to cross the road for the beach and all of the restaurants, car rentals and a market is located in the port.

Great location to the beach, port and food! Rooms were clean and well maintained. Owners are really kind & made the space feel like home! Would highly recommend! :)
