Avra Nafpliou in Nafplio

The Avra hotel in Nafplion is a lovely little boutique hotel located within walking distance to Old Town, a plethora of restaurants, shopping, cafes, bakeries and supermarkets. While located on a busy road on one side, you cannot hear the traffic at all, making for a restful sleep. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms large. The hotel is extremely clean. It is a cool little place.

Great hotel a short 20 min walk away from the city center. Lovely staff that are incredibly helpfull. Rooms were nice and clean. The balcony's are spacious and great. The breakfast is simple but it has everything you need. We picked this hotel because od the pool and that saved us on so many hot days.

Absolutely all the staff are truly phenomenal. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their enthusiasm and drive was wonderful. We were there in early mid/high season and they hadn’t really quite got into the swing, but every time we needed anything it arrived and was already there the next time we needed or wanted it. The hotel is modern and the rooms really well appointed with everything you need. The local town really suited us. My wife is disabled, and I push her in a wheelchair which was easy as the 1 ½ mile walk into town is flat. Marginal issues with some “drop downs” in town, but there was always a solution. However, so many restaurants and bars to choose from, it is a great town. There is a 24-hr Pastry & Patisserie just 30M from the hotel which is really amazing.

We loved this little hotel. It’s a little way out of the old town (about 20 min walk) and on a main road. However, we weren’t disturbed by any noise as the balcony doors are good quality & doubled up. The room was spotless with a nice bathroom & comfortable bed and excellent air con. The breakfast offering was more than adequate with a good choice of hot & cold food with some traditional homemade Greek dishes too. Although small, the hotel has a really nice pool set in a lovely garden with a poolside bar. The staff from start to finish were a delight. A highly recommended hotel.

Excellent little hotel. Rooms are good sized, spotless with a decent bathroom and good quality air con. Breakfast is a mix of continental & Greek dishes served from a well stocked buffet - very pleasant. The hotel pool is lovely and set in a small but pretty garden area with a poolside bar. All the staff were absolutely lovely.

It’s a little way out from the old town but it’s an easy 1/2 hr walk at most and although on a main road there was no traffic noise.

Our stay here was fantastic. Was made to feel at home, and the breakfast was traditional and the perfect way to start our day!
The staff was so attentive to every one of our needs, including our daughter’s nut allergies.
Don’t hesitate.
OK supermarket was a quick walk.

Property was clean and modern. It is located in the new town of Nafplio. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were very helpful and welcoming eapecially Peny at the front desk and Evey the breakfast chef/hostess. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

So, after traveling around some of the ancient sites in Greece and staying in many ancient places (one 800 years old) this is the place to go to feel like Greece has more current places. This hotel has a pool, modern showers, laundry service, designated parking... The castle is only an 8 minute drive. There is a great little Gelato shop down by the harbor. And prices are very economical.
