Where to stay in Nafplio

Room was very clean, staff was courteous. Only minor issue was it took over an hour for room to heat up.

The Avra hotel in Nafplion is a lovely little boutique hotel located within walking distance to Old Town, a plethora of restaurants, shopping, cafes, bakeries and supermarkets. While located on a busy road on one side, you cannot hear the traffic at all, making for a restful sleep. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms large. The hotel is extremely clean. It is a cool little place.

The highlight of the hotel is the kindness and hospitality of the personel! :) It is located in a 5-10min walking distance from city centre, therefore very convenient! What I didn't like that much is that: a) the shower is very small and protected via a curtain, which is constantly touching your body while showering. It is a nice enough 2 star hotel. It was clean. Rooms were small. Breakfast was good. My only complaint was the tiny shower. While in the shower the curtain touches you constantly which is not very sanitary. I would recommend staying here despite this

Cheap and cheerful. The owner is very friendly and it was nice to chat to him about Greek football. It is a bit of a walk from the nicer parts of the town but not too far, room was clean.

The exterior of the hotel looks old but the room is actually renovated and well-maintained. Family run business. The owner is honest and helpful with providing all instructions. I think it is a great value given the affordable price. The KTEL bus stop to Athens is also just right across the street.

Just outside Nafplio, with the greatest view of the city and Palamidi, you get your moneys worth. Hostess is amazing and very informative, sharing all the locations you need for the perfect experience. Lastly everything was clean and felt like home!

We spent 4 nights in the apartement, and it was really as relaxing as it could be. Super friendly host offered self-made cake and created a family-like atmosphere. Will for sure come again when we'll visit Nafpoli next time.

Great location, with a stunning panoramic view of Nafplion. The rooms, while simple, have all the amenities one could reasonably expect. There is a shared space equipped with a kitchen and tables to take your breakfast in the morning, while enjoying the view. Parking is a bit of a challenge if you come by motorcycle, since the rooms are at the side of a hill. Will definitely come again.

I visited with my mother and grandmother. The room was a perfect size for three adults. Room service was nice with fresh towels each day. The employees were friendly, made excellent breakfasts, and provided good recommendations for places to go in town. The location is walking distance from the old town. Lovely little hotel perfectly located in Nafplio old town. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily. The hotel provided a breakfast selection of prepackaged pastries and fruit with coffee machines to which guests help themselves. Would definitely stay there again.

Quite a way out of town situated on a steep slope . Shower curtains in the tiny shower cubicle. Simple breakfast with no coffee pot in the rooms.

Reception was prompt and very helpful. I think something is wrong with hotels/expedia because this is the second place in a row that said I hadn’t ordered breakfast. And the hotel today says I didn’t order a double room. Three times in a row with things I specifically ordered suggests a problem with the app/website, not the hotels.

This was a really excellent all round place to stay. The attention to detail and helpfulness and kind reception we got was outstanding. The amenities and standard of the property is excellent. It's spacious and has everything you want with the added bonus of a breakfast area and a fantastic offering for breakfast which was included in the price, fantastic value for money.

Very nice and comfortable place a few km from the center. A/C and Wi-Fi work very well. There is a terrace. The shower is very large. Very clean and well furnished. It did not affect our stay but they rent as apartments but at least in ours there was no kitchen.

The hotel is really quaint with wonderful views. The staff is amazing helped me with the suitcases. The breakfast was very lavish for €13. There are stairs though to navigate but great location, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The hotel and room were absolutely fine. The location posed a bit of a problem related to parking. The hotel did their best to provide us with instructions and advice on where to park, but it was still a bit of a headache. Once we were parked and checked in, everything was lovely.

Great service and delicious breakfast

It was a fairly average B&B experience. There was no elevator, so large boxes needed to be carried manually. However, the room was clean and the balcony had a great view.

The delicious breakfast was definitely worth the cost, with numerous options and excellent presentation.

The hotel has a great location, and I really like the decor. The breakfast selection is excellent. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next vacation!

This hotel, dating back to the 17th century, is indeed old. The rooms have very high ceilings and a small balcony facing the sea. The most bizarre thing is that they only provide blankets, not quilts. Perhaps it's because it's summer. The bathroom is very old and has a small bathtub. The cleanliness is so-so; there was a layer of dust on the telephone, suggesting other areas weren't very clean either...

Nafplio was about a 10 minute drive away from the Alexandros hotel. Pension Dafni is a nice little gem. Right on the outskirts of the old town, access to parking and within easy walking of the old town. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was generous and delicious, something for every taste. The swimming pool was sparkling and heated, although we didn't swim. The restaurant on premises was delightful and had a good choice of meals. I would stay there again.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully constructed with materials such as stone sinks. The pool is surrounded by a garden that invites one to stay and luxuriate. The cuisine was delicious and we were so happy to have dinner there twice. Everyone who made our stay welcome was attentive and hospitable. The hotel is also close to downtown.

Overall a very good stay. Make sure to bring some bottled water as signs indicate not to drink (salinity). Rooms can be quite stuffy but if you open the window the road outside is actually quite noisy. Pillows are quite hard but beds are fine. Breakfast is more than adequate.
