Argiro Village in Afantou

Please be aware off the rooms! We booked a deluxe and was placed in something represented pontins! ( We have taken this up with TUI ) The grounds were lovely, food was awful!! The 2 ladies at reception are very helpful, no bottled water or hot drink facilities in the rooms you've to purchase everything, for an A/L it isn't good! The "hot tub" had no water in it, yet they advertise this on the website! Please please be careful when booking! There are lovely restaurants around the hotel, the supermarket with a bakery is around 10 minutes walk but is also great!

this is honestly the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, i have travelled a lot in my life and usually go to 4 star hotels however me and my boyfriend wanted a cheap week away in the sun, wasn’t expecting much just a clean room and okay food to get us by. but no. firstly when we got to the hotel the reception ladies were lovely and took us to our room then quickly let us to our own devices. the room was outdated which was fine but something in my gut told me to do an inspection of the room. i was right, upon having a deeper look we found there were spit marks all over the mirror, crumbs and coffee marks all over the table, a dirty shower that looked looked as if it had never been cleaned as well as the bedside light being broken, i was sickened and filed a complaint through tui my holiday provider. the next day we went to breakfast only to experience food that was lukewarm at best and limited unlabelled options. so much for all inclusive, the drinks were okay and the pool area was lovely which is probably the only good thing that happened to us while staying here, the hotel responded to my complaint saying that the room was “thoroughly cleaned” however upon walking into the room found the same exact spit marks on the mirror. another complaint was made and multiple calls to tui as this was seen to us as unacceptable, at this point tui told us to speak to reception, so we did and we explained how it was still unclean to which the woman replied “it might not be clean to your standards, and calling it unclean is offensive to our cleaning staff” after this i filed another complaint and met with the rep the next day. we explored the option of an upgraded room however it was €200 which seemed excessive as we’d already paid £800 for this holiday. that night i received an email from tui telling me that id been issued a “final warning” and that any further complaints would result in our accommodation and flights would be cancelled, this was obviously very terrifying to us as it was only the second day of our holiday and i had only filed two complaints. that night we went to dinner only to be followed and watched by the kitchen staff making us very uncomfortable as well as my boyfriends fish being raw, we tried to sleep that night but the loud and roudy guests staying upstairs shouting at all hours of the night made it impossible. the next day we left to hotel to go to the beach as we couldn’t stand the atmosphere of the hotel, it seemed as if all the staff knew about our complaints and had a personal vendetta against us, at this point it was getting ridiculous and we’re so on edge due to being threatened to be kicked out and flights cancelled as two young travelers. the rep met with us and at that point we decided to leave and stay at another hotel, i asked for our €35 tourist tax back and they refused as well as saying i am lucky they didn’t charge me a €700 cancellation fee. this i found utterly disgusting and i am lucky to have had the opportunity to sta
