Argiro Village in Afantou

Before I process this review I really want to make staff aware of the lovely white cat that gets fed by hotel staff has hurt its leg and think needs some medical attention, this really worried me and I am a lover of cats also.

On with the review, lovely hotel, not near any good shopping areas unless go by taxi, the old town was amazing to visit and the beach wasn't good, but the hotel staff were helpful, friendly and nice. The food I really did enjoy amazing tasteful and the chef was lovely and asked how the meals were, which is nice to see.

Fair price for hotel and pool was nice and refreshing. The location not so good unless you can travel, but the hotel itself we would come back to in the future.

We visited Rhodes in the first week of July. Probably also thanks to the period it was a positive and relaxing travel experience. The village is part of the positive aspects of the holiday.

Positive sides
- Village in a strategic position in the center of the east coast which is the heart of the island. We rented a car and toured the entire east coast from Rhodes town to Lindos.

- The village is clean and well cared for both for the gardens and for the central part (swimming pool, restaurant, bar).
Clean apartments with new furniture. Our room had mosquito nets in both bathroom and bedroom. Our friends' rooms are bedroom side only.

- Cleaning every other day and carried out with care

- We opted for half board. Decent breakfast and dinner food for both quality and variety. Extra drinks for half board.

- Excellent and courteous service. Every little problem was solved immediately.

small but clean pool. The small Jacuzzi is also good.

Negative sides
Air conditioning is not free as per the website but for a fee on request. However it was not necessary. The heat of Rhodes is not for stress, Always windy and without humidity.

The small play room with billiards and table tennis and a small gym with essential equipment is a bit abandoned. The heat in the room does not invite you to come in for a game. It has split air conditioning but always off. Anyway my boys played anyway.

In summary I would definitely recommend this village.

Staff very nice. Breakfast not so good. Beach is a 15min walk but there's a free shuttle every 2 hours.

Great hotel. Very friendly stuff. The rooms are really clean. You have WiFi, pool and entertainment like TV and billiard . The food was delicious. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to visit Rhodes again at this place.

An exceptional tui 2 star. Family owned and run. Very quiet and out of the way.
My best plus point, the rooms are SO clean.
Variety of good buffet food.
Pool just the right temperature, and enough sunbeds.
Hotel bus to the beach which is very quiet and not developed. Town a 20min uphill walk, good when it's cooler.
My advice if you're expecting 5 star don't book 2 star and then complain. This is a lovely little place and I love it.

Very relaxing and comfortable environment. A lot of of flowers and plants and trees makes it a little bit exotic. Friendly family place for everyone. Couples and singles as well. There's a lovely playground for children. Children's pool and yacussi and normal pool. Pool bar and restaurant makes it easy to stay to relax for a day if you want to be lazy. Shuttle bus to the beach and back. Training room and billiard table, ping pong table and other activities is possible as well. Greek night once a week with live music and dancing and BBQ. Always helpful people there if there is something you request. Cleaning the room everyday except Sunday. There's a small supermarket next door as well for supplies for the room. Nice price in the pool bar. About 10 minutes walk to the Afandou village. They also assist with rental car or motorbikes or scooters, which is delivered to the pool, reception. Taxi is provided if needed. Bus transfer to Rhodes town or Lindos is 2 minutes walk from the pool. The food in the restaurant is homemade and delicious. Greek cousine. Highly recommended! I'm Norwegian and was there for 2 weeks in September 2017. I'm definitely going back.
