Beautiful pleasant & clean hotel Nice Buffet Breakfast Friendly family run hotel , picked us up & dropped us off at the port Only around 8 minute walk to the port downhill , however the walk back is obviously uphill 😩

Such a friendly welcome at the Port with a complimentary lift. The hotel is immaculately clean and serves delicious homemade food. The swimming pool is large and so refreshing. After a long days travelling, arriving at the hotel it’s an easy check in, just complete a form with your contact details, then you are taken to your room. Spacious studio with fabulous sea views. Easy walk to and from town. Beach opposite was not our favourite but as we had a hire car we were able to visit many other beaches. Great location

The studios are right across the street from the sea and there is a nice view of the bay from the rooms. The street though is quite noisy well into the evening. So its a balance. Room was nice spacy and clean - the kitchen utensils not so much. Very nice service, nice people.

Wonderful friendly host, the place was clean, but basic accommodation and facilities. We could’ve done with some washing up liquid and tea towels to dry the things we had used. Clean towels, hand soap and toilet paper were provided but nothing else.

Great value apartment with fantastic views Great good value apartment with air conditioning and lovely views out to sea. Easy walking in to town and virtually next door to a bakery which was handy for fresh croissants in the morning! Also on the bus route so easy access to the south side of the island. We stayed for four nights… The hotel was in a very good location and spotlessly clean! Mr. Stratos, the manager, was a very kind man, helpful and available to us for whatever we needed! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend their vacation.. This is the first time we have found such treatment with social tourism tickets!! Thank you very much for your service!!

Clean, friendly environment, next to an organized beach and on a coastal street that becomes a pedestrian street on weekend afternoons!

To get to the elevator you have to climb some stairs this is a disadvantage, we stayed we had a quadruple room with 2 rooms with large spaces very good for a family with 2 children! Breakfast not for big demands, the basics were there. The staff very kind and helpful!

Loved this hotel! Owners Could not do enough for you … perfect location near main bus stop and 2 minute walk to main shops and bars … lovely breakfast served until 10.30am. Really enjoyed our stay here. The area is beautiful and close enough to restaurants and things nearby. We did a 16km walk to visit all the monasteries which I would absolutely recommend. The hotel was wonderful and would advise anyone to stay here

Good hotel, very convenient location, near restaurants, mini markets and the trail to the monasteries. Room was nice, bed a little small for too adults (for our liking) but it was clean and the views were amazing. Whole place smelled super nice. Just spent 3 nights here and wow what place I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. We didn't book a transfer but noticed the mini bus from the hotel at the port and he offered us a lift for 10 euros. The staff here are so lovely. Hotel Filoxenia is a small hotel hidden in between some others in Portaria. The owners take pride in their quiet and welcoming establishment and provide you everything you need. The location is wonderful, and sitting in between the large trees on a sunny day makes you realize that you might have stumbled upon one of the most beautiful places in all of Greece.

We arrived with some friends, 2 rooms booked , both room immaculate, and the most thoughtful items were awaiting us in the room . The huge bed amazing, a large fan and air conditioning, amazing sea views , the owners very friendly and informative, we will definitely be returning, i can recommend this place with certainty.

I will put 3 stars only for the people there, they are very kind... But the room Yes clean, it smelled very bad, like pee really awful smell... Maybe it was humidity .... The hotel is perfectly located, just 10 minutes walking distance from the Skopelos Town port. The parking is not available, but you can leave the car on the road. Other than this, old fashioned hotel with dark furniture, no elevator, poor maintenance, minimal breakfast and cleaning.

Fantastic property, right in the middle of town across from the docks. Restaurants are walkable, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the food and drinks at the rooftop bar are fantastic! We stay here whenever we have to spend a night in Volos. Very comfortable, super clean, very friendly staff and always helpful. The included fooftop breakfast is a gear way to kick off your day. The room interior is not as traditional as you might expect but more on the modern side.

I went there to have a late night coffee. The view was amazing and we eventually took a hot chocolate, which was quite bitter but nice and a hot green tea, which tasted awful... It’s a lovely cafe on a roof of the hotel which opens a view to the sea and mountains! A great place to work and enjoy the atmosphere of the city. As for the menu, you can find good healthy alternatives for lunch or dinner. Prices are not too high, and the personal is quite friendly.

We had a very nice stay here. Clean, cosy and well equipped. Even during a crazy heatwave (40 degrees) no problem since all rooms have air conditioning. Upon request they provided 2 babybeds, which was great.

Really cool spot! The whole town is built into a steep hillside. To Stefani Tis Makrinas is beautiful with the traditional design of the village. The staff is very kind and helpful. You can walk right into the little town from the villas through a quaint winding pathway down the hillside. Views of Volos are extraordinary

The room we stayed was a two bedroom split level apartment , was newly rennovated, had a fireplace and fulky equiped kitchen. Would prefer to have some more space in the livingroom so that we will be able to sit together. The matress was cocomat , top quality. Not so easy access during the winter in case of snow

We dropped by the restaurant yesterday and had the best meal yet in Greece, and we’ve had a few great ones.
