Everything depends on your expectations—if you have a larger budget, I wouldn't recommend it. The rooms were too crowded, the doors couldn't be locked, and some people came back late at night and seemed to know the building manager, so they turned on their lights and introduced themselves. But if you're like me and have no other choice, it's still a place to stay. The staff are friendly (although check-in took a while), it's RELATIVELY safe because it's deep inside the building, and the toilets are cleaned promptly and thoroughly.

The stay was very bad and the owner's treatment was very very bad. I booked with him and sent him a message that I would be late and would arrive at the hostel at three in the morning because I would be during work and my work ends at two in the morningBut he didn't reply to my message and when I arrived at the time I specified he forced me to pay 2000 forints or 5 euros extra in addition to the accommodation fees because I didn't check in to the hostel on time and he said if you don't pay you won't stay here I paid because I was tired, then he asked again for 2000 forints or 5 euros to give me the key to the locker where I put my bag. It was a bad stay in every sense of the word

The place is gloomy, the rooms are dark and don't smell very good... There is no key or electronic card to enter the room, so sometimes the manager comes in as if nothing happened, I don't even know why. It said room for 4 when I booked but I ended up in a room for 6. There is also mold on the shower/toilet door (because yes, it is one and the same small room). I do not recommend...

Agreed on previous reviews, the place has a feeling not a hostel for international travellers but for local long stayers, working class people. Stay here on your own risk, it's often fully booked due to an extremely low price but as a downside you'll get a bunch of loud ladies cooking their evening meals and socialising well into the night. A fully equipped kitchen is one a few bright spots though. There are lockers but they can't be locked unless you bring your own small padlock. Overall they are nice people but just not the type one expects in such a place.

The lady that was sleeping next to me was very surprised I lasted two nights in there, I think that my boyfriend is going to break up with me because I brought him there. Jokes, maybe he still loves me. No, just not a hostel for young “drinking all night” uni students 20 € bistro bar we are fun interrail people.

Very centrally located. Poor room conditions, bathrooms aren't too clean and there is a foul smell in the passages. You need to pay extra for washing your clothes and if you would like to keep your luggage in the luggage room. More importantly, if you are looking for a good vibe and want to hang around with youth, this is not the right place.

I didn't feel safe. I had the impression that this is as said below by many, long term homeless accommodation. I stayed 1 night only and decided to move to another hostel...

It's a long term homeless accomodation, just as all the other reviews say. Wouldn't recomend to anyone, especially for women. They have signs around the hostel telling men to not harass female guests. The rooms are dirty, furniture is old, no comfort whatsoever. Stay away from this place.
Receptionist was drunk he attacked us for just knocking the door.
