Budapest, Baross Ter 7-8 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I've stayed here multiple times, and the experience is always great. The location is super convenient, very close to the train station, and the cleanliness is excellent. It's definitely a top value-for-money option for accommodation in Budapest. Highly recommended!
My stay here was absolutely terrible. The worst part was when the cleaning staff entered my room without knocking or permission while I was still inside. This was a severe invasion of my privacy and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Furthermore, the hotel's service was disappointing. They charged an extra fee for luggage storage, which was not clearly stated during booking. This felt...
A good stay! The hotel is well located although maybe not the nicest area near the train station but fine enough. I traveled as a woman alone and felt safe and secure. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak English well. There is a little traffic noise but not bad at all and it didn't disturb my sleep as a light sleeper.
Great location, right by the subway entrance. The breakfast spread was generous and replenished promptly. The hotel looks exactly like the pictures. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I'm in the area.
The facilities are brand new, and there's a kettle provided. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet, and spotless. Transportation is incredibly convenient nearby. The headboard features a stylish map design, and it's very close to the subway station, right next to the train station. The guy at the front desk who checked me in was really handsome and spoke excellent English.
Stayed Feb 2026 for 1 night. As most reviewers have already indicated, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Although we were assigned a room facing the Keleti station and the main road, it was surprisingly not too noisy. We could hear the occasional police siren but it did not disturb our sleep. One downside - we checked out early and wanted to store our luggage; we were surprised that...

The hotel is centrally located and surrounded by local restaurants in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and the amenities are amazing. I would stay here again for more reasons than one. This is the best Leonardo hotel I have stayed at in the world. Shout out to Noga for being very helpful.
The Leonardo Hotel Budapest was fine for a short stay. The location is decent, with some public transport options nearby. The room was clean but a bit small and basic. Staff were generally polite, though service could be a little quicker. Overall, nothing special but it does the job if you just need a place to sleep.
Everything is good, I really liked it, the girls at the reception were very friendly
I think the hotel is very good, but it's a pity that the water in the bathroom splashes easily and the toilet is a bit clogged. The front desk staff are very good.
The rooms are small and outdated, and the hotel is surrounded by residential areas. The subway station is about a ten-minute walk away. The breakfast was average. This hotel is generally considered inferior to other hotels in the group.
Just spent 2 nights at the Leonardo Hotel with the kids and had a great stay! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, which made a big difference traveling as a family. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful—always around when we needed anything and made us feel very welcome. The whole place was well-maintained and clean, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend...

Hotel is a great location, near the train station and public transport. Room has a great size, comfortable bed and had complimentary water. The bathtub is a bit high, so for someone with mobility difficulty might be hard to shower/bathe. The bathroom looks a bit rundown but it is clean. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the service was excellent. They offer a great variety of breakfast options. The location is super convenient, being very close to the subway station, and there are many restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!
Simple service but efficient. Perfect location for Pest city center.
It was really a pleasure to stay at Medos Hotel. We booked a twin room. It was very clea, the bathroom too. Beds, sheets, bed covers all white and clean. Breakfast excellent and full. Many options for everything (coffee, cheese, ham, marmalade, cakes, breads, eggs, sausages etc). I would definitely recommend this hotel and definitely I will choose it again.
Staff was super professional and friendly, responded to messages promptly. Cleaning could be improved, as curtains had a big stain, walls could use a retouch here and there. Main bother with the room was extremely squeaky floor and bed frame. Overall, great place for the price.
The hotel has a very European vibe to it. We were on the 10th floor, but had to walk down 2 sets of stairs to get to our room !! I have arthritis and having to move our luggage was not easy on our own, this let the hotel down. Breakfast not overly great, if you like toast you'll be fine. The location was good, close to trams and metro stations, taxis are never far away, so no long waits. Nice cafes...

The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, about a 10-minute walk from the subway station. I'd recommend staying closer to the city center if you're here for tourism. This area is a little out of the way.
I was very happy with the hotel not to far from the city and shops all around will be staying there again.
Super nice hotel, nice breakfast, sparkling clean room. One recommendation is to provide complimentary water in rooms at least
The hotel is a solid option for a business trip. The rooms are clean and practical, and the overall comfort level is good for the price. While nothing particularly stands out, it offers a reasonable balance of cost and quality, making it a convenient choice for short business stays.
Here is a comfortable and clean hotel with a very nice and happy atmosphere and hotel staff are so polite and kind. Location is the best, close to M station and shopping malls are around😊 Breakfast?? Perfect😊don’t hesitate to book your room including breakfast ❤️
My wife and I are delighted with how kindly we were greeted and treated by the hotel staff, especially the gentleman at the front desk. I stayed at Benczúr Hotel from Thursday to Sunday and had a wonderful experience throughout. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and pleasantly warm, and the service was excellent at all times. What impressed me most was the food. I rarely get to enjoy meals of such high quality, and as someone who is not from Hungary, I especially loved the Hungarian specialties. The cuisine felt truly refined, and...
Very nice budget hotel, relatively clean we had no issues. Staff was very friendly, they let us check in early and then check out later because one of our friends was sick. Very accommodating, nice breakfast options and enough time even if you fancy waking up a bit later. Overall a good experience.
The breakfast was great, the hotel was clean, and it’s located in a quiet zone. Although the photos made it look like a 'grandma's homestay,' it’s actually a surprisingly large and nice hotel. However, the mattress in the economy room was terrible. I suspect you’d need to pay for a room upgrade to get a better bed. Housekeeping could also be improved; for instance, they forgot to refill the toilet...
Our stay there was ok. It was clean. There is no kitchenette (not even a kettle or a microwave). Other than the receptionists, the staff was hard to communicate with. I mailed in advance to make sure there are vegan options but unfortunately the options were extremely dull.
Everyone in the hotel was friendly and kind with us, the room was nice and the location is perfect, near the metro station as well as the heroes square.
The location is fantastic. You can reach Heroes’ Square, City Park, and Széchenyi Thermal Baths in 10 minutes. The metro station is less than two minutes away, making every part of Budapest easy to access. The service is amazing, with very clean and comfortable rooms that are cleaned daily. Breakfast was also plentiful.

Great location! Very comfortable, excelent breakfast couldn’t ask for more
Lovely hotel in the perfect location! Only downside was that the AC didn’t work very well and there was no fridge in the room. Other than that, can’t fault it. I had a lovely, pleasant stay.
Great location and the breakfast was amazing. Clean rooms and friendly helpful staff, we will stay here again!!!
The bed was a bit small, just enough for one, but the hygiene was decent, and breakfast was good too.
The receptionist was very nice and explained clearly on stay and breakfast. Some stains were found on the bed linen but in general the room was clean and comfortable. All electrical appliances worked well. Best of all was the breakfast, providing a variety of options. Location was perfect, right at the city centre

The hotel was near the metro which is good and the room was quite small but it’s clean. The bathroom shower was too narrow and small, however, the staff was accommodating and friendly.
The room was clean, but there was virtually no service. The soundproofing was terrible; someone called the room at 2 AM, and there was constant noise and running upstairs and outside my door from 1 AM to 5 AM. It was quite a terrifying experience.
Extremely satisfied with my stay. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the location was super convenient. It's within walking distance to the train station and popular attractions, and the surrounding area is lovely and quiet.
Great location, very close to both the subway and train, and right next to attractions like Fisherman's Bastion. The staff were also very nice, ordering takeout was convenient, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!
Great location, but no electric kettle, small face towe, showel capl and slippers. Remember to bring your own.

This is one of the best value-for-money hotels I've stayed at in Europe. It's right next to the train station, so you can easily get there directly from the station. It's also convenient for shopping. Overall, I really liked it.
The hotel is located right next to the train station. Our windows faced the street, and while the soundproofing was good, we could still hear the tram a little. The rooms are renovated and modern. Water is provided in glass bottles, and you can fill up filtered water near the hotel entrance. Breakfasts are excellent with a wide variety to choose from. The Parliament building and Basilica are within...
There was no slipper, no bathrobe and other kits. Location was wonderful. Staff was positive. But basic hotel kits destroyed all these charms.
The hotel is in a good location, but it must get its act together replacing the carpets. The carpets in my room were very dirty. For over two years now the hotel is in the process of replacing the carpets. What takes them too long - and why did I get a room with these old dirty carpets ?
I had a pleasant stay at T62 Hotel in Budapest. The location is excellent, right in the city center with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and major sights. This hotel offers incredible value for money, and it's super easy to get to. The rooms are huge! We arrived late, and our booked twin room wasn't available, but the staff were amazing and upgraded our room for us – a big thank you to them! We booked breakfast at the New York Café at the front desk; it was 30 Euros per person. As guests, we had a special dining area, which was beautiful and elegant...
The room was clean and spacious, well-equipped with great facilities. The service was excellent, and the environment was pleasant. There's a supermarket right across the street, and the central location is convenient for all the tourist attractions, dining, and transportation.
The location is fantastic, very close to the tram, and you can even use the New York Cafe's side entrance – it's an attraction itself! I really liked the location and the amazing view from the terrace. Initially, I was given a room with a view of a side street, but after speaking with the administrator, they offered to move me to the room I wanted for the second night. I also enjoyed breakfast at the New York Café. The rooms themselves are a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but everything was clean and in good condition.

It's a great hotel with a small private parking. The rooms are nice with comfortable beds. There is an elevator, too. Breakfast is so so and location is a bit far from the main sights. The guys at the reception are friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. My only moan is the gluten free options at breakfast. Bread is provided but there is no gf cereal, or other pastry goods. Food isn’t labelled with ingredients so you don’t know if it contains gluten. The location of the hotel is not central, if are a tourist I would recommend staying more central.
It's not far from the Rhine River, making it convenient for a walk on a sunny day. There's a McDonald's just across the street downstairs, though it's not exactly in the city center. The rooms are small, and the facilities are quite basic; the bathroom looks like it's been there for ten or twenty years. The location for us was great.  We enjoyed the walks into the city and crisscrossing the bridges between Buda and Pest!!  The staff at reception were extremely helpful and took their time to answer our questions.  Would definitely recommend this hotel.
The room was a budget hotel room, and the breakfast was simple. The room price was said to be relatively high. It was more than a kilometer walk to the National Museum, with commercial streets and shopping malls along the way.
A nice hotel to stay in if you're in Budapest. The rooms are nice and clean; the bed and the bathroom were immaculate. This hotel is near the Danube River. Nice to have a room with coffee/tea making facilities and fridge. About the only thing I would change is the addition of an in-room safe. Friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed at this hotel in Budapest for 3 nights. Our family room was not very big, but there was enough space for all of us. Everything was clean, although there was a bit of mold near the shower. Set in a lovely quiet area but well walkable to the main areas. Lovely park close by and a great cafe/bar for meals and drinks within a short distance. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom a little tired looking but was exceptionally clean and towels/toiletries provided.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is convenient, close to the bus stop. Check-in is only possible from 4 PM, which is a bit inconvenient, but they offered to leave our luggage there. Our room was clean, a little dated and rusty, but passable. They never cleaned the room or made the bed. We were infested with ants; we reported this to the staff, and they intervened with insecticide...
It's true that it's old and not cleaned well. It's an old building, so it's worn out. But this hotel has a unique atmosphere and is cool. It's a little far from the city center, but there's a bus stop within walking distance. (It's about 10 minutes.) If you just pay a little attention to cleaning, you'll forget about the oldness and have a great time. The hotel staff are all very kind.
The property is an old style large stone house that has been renovated. It has an easy going ambiance as it might have been in the 50s. The neighborhood is 50s style residential, but easy access to decent restaurant and great outdoor coffee shop. Easy access to bus, or 40 minute walk, over the bridge, to the very heart of the city. Service was fine enough, but no breakfast.
An average hotel, the rooms were clean but with ants, the Wi-Fi is of quite good quality, the hotel is in a good location, 10 minutes by car from the center, the price corresponds to the quality, there is a working air conditioner, but we got a damaged bed. I can't say anything about the service, since I almost never contacted it. Good for a 2 star hotel.
We chose this hotel for our one night stay during our trip to Germany. We did not encounter any disturbing situations. The price was ***et reasonable. The cleaning was very very good. ***et is suitable for accommodation during visits to Budapest.

Very economical... Ideal for a budget trip...
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, as part of a tourist group from Belarus. We liked the hotel, although the group had different opinions. Perfect hotel for my needs, very well located with very good facilities
Thank you for organizing early check in and breakfast. That's very welcoming, especially after long flight
Great position ,walking distance to many sights and metro to Thermal Baths and Heroes Square.Good amenities but the best thing about this Hotel are the amazing staff. We stayed for three nights and honestly enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean, the breakfast had a nice selection and all was pretty tasty. Our biggest disappointment comes from the lack of hot water in our room. The boiler was broken for our entire stay, so we had to go to the other hotel wing to get a shower, which was just impractical and not something to be expected from a four-star hotel...
The hotel and rooms are a bit dated, but the rooms aren't small and it's not far from the subway station. Breakfast is included and the quality is decent. There's an elevator, and the service is acceptable. They also offer luggage storage. There aren't any supermarkets nearby. It has decent accessibility to both the airport and the city center.
It's a nice hotel close to the metro station but located on a quiet street. The breakfast was very good. Our room would need a bit of renewal but it was clean, warm and comfortable for our short stay. The people at the reception desk were welcoming.
Really welcoming place. Very big and as well international as national breakfast. Suites are really big and have all amenities from water cooker to hair dryer and shampoo but standard furniture. Beneath the carpet on the floor the suite in the sissi wing was clean. Bit far from the city centre but nearby are many restaurants and bars and metro and tram stations.
Well located and affordable hotel for a few days. It offers a breakfast that is quite varied. The service is very friendly and willing to help you with everything. It is good for staying and exploring Budapest.
Room 603 is basically normal, but what I personally missed: - a kettle and a cup - slippers - and most importantly, very little light in the room Breakfast buffet (hot dishes are presented in a small assortment), fruits and vegetables (cucumbers were either frozen or spoiled for 2 days in a row) City tax was not taken upon check-in and check-out Cleaning with change of towels daily

My room was good and also so silence.Breakfast was delicious and tastefully .But only location was far away to metro station.Anyway ı had slept very well at my room.
Nice hotel for families! It has an easy access to the markets around.
The internet worked well, staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good and the room was well cleaned.  The location is also easily accessible by public transport. The room was an okay size. The bed, pillows and chair weren't the most comfortable which was slightly disappointing. But, overall for the time period I think the value for money was decent.
Ibis is about a ten minute walk from Kelenfold railway/metro station. Friendly English speaking recption staff. Beware of coach parties in breakfast room.
Clean, affordable, colourful. Was very appreciative of their customer service as they let us change the date of our arrival with no penalty despite us accidentally booking a non-refundable room (need to email them directly, not through trip). Breakfast was good, but vegan/veg options were extremely limited, so I would have liked to see some more effort on that side to accomodate more guests.
Right by the Kelenföld station in Budapest, I arrived by midnight and was welcomed by this chubby (meant in a friendly way) and very friendly receptionist who got me to my room and was very kind. Beds are nice and not too soft, the breakfast is alright too. A big plus is the free coffee by the reception haha.
