The hotel was quite cold for the two weeks of my stay due to a technical issue. Unfortunately, the spa area—which was the main reason I chose this hotel—was also too cold to fully enjoy. The hotel itself is old, with dated furniture and very basic amenities, but everything was clean. There’s nothing particularly special about the place, however it offers decent value for the money.

We stayed one night at the Mercure Hotel in Budapest and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. This hotel offers the best views of the Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest. It's located on Fisherman's Bastion, and the rooms with a view are on the ground floor, accessible via a private, discreet pathway. The breakfast was delicious, and I was happy to find miso soup, which is a nice touch for Japanese guests. The room was clean, but I was troubled when the body soap dispenser was empty. It was refilled during the cleaning on the second morning. On the day of checkout, while I was relaxing in my room, a cleaner tried to enter without knocking, which startled me. I recommend using the chain lock.
