Breakfast is convenient, starting as early as 4 AM.The hotel is just a short walk from the airport—less than 5 minutes across the parking lot.The only issue is that the heating in the room was a bit insufficient.

Check in and check out were quick and smooth. Excellent location - 5 min walk from the terminal. Room was clean and functional. Variety of food at the breakfast is not great, but the breakfast starts at 4AM, which is convenient. The most left electric socket above the table did not work (room 103). Perhaps, the hotel admin would like to check and fix it.

It's located conveniently 3 1 Km from the airport. Staff are super friendly and are happy to help! Buffet breakfast is all included from various VB eggs and vegetables to cereal and milk and soya milk and... Life is good, people are awesome, stars are shining?

The room was great, with good heating. They also provided a shuttle service. After arriving on a late-night flight, I picked up my luggage and went to Zone 6 on the second floor. I called and the car arrived in about ten minutes. The breakfast wasn't really to my taste as a Chinese person; I just had some eggs, milk, and coffee.

Very close to the airport, so getting a taxi was super convenient. The hotel staff were really warm and attentive, with someone on duty 24/7. The room was clean and comfortable, the heating worked great, and the bathroom was bright and spacious. The bedding was soft and comfy too. Breakfast was decent enough; can't be too picky when you're traveling for work.

The hotel has a nice environment, offers a swimming pool and sauna facilities, and is very close to the airport, a 10-minute drive away. It's a great transit point before leaving Budapest.

Some rooms are dark and duster. Some rooms are very well used and you can see and feel the long time of use. Great hotel, clean rooms, great staff, good food at the restaurant and the ambient was very nice and relaxed. They have a great garden that was decorated for Christmas. Definetelly worth the stay if you enjoy cozy hotels and great food.

What an oasis for recovering from the long flights from Washington, DC! The staff was friendly and here to help us enjoy our stay. The restaurant was a hidden gem with a menu that accommodated both me (who wanted to focus on local Hungarian foods) and my friend (who wanted a hamburger). They focus on using fresh foods and quality ingredients.

Aging property but very clean and fantastic staff.

Hotel was clean but the staff was not helpful. We needed to be picked up by the hotel shuttle from the airport, but the overnight attendee would not answer the phone. We had to pay for taxis from the airport. A/C in the room was broken, told the attendee and he told us to just open the window.

We had to go down for the AC controller. All rooms were open when we arrived. Covered were in the cabinet but only very small pillows. Tiny tv. Refrigerator yes but that’s pretty much it. No elevator. The shuttle was full - driver was really not in a good mood. He loaded the bags but did not offload them. We had food ordered, it was dropped off at the reception - no communication to us about it.

Nice place if you need to stay overnight near Budapest airport

Convenient location for early flights We had an early flight and did not want to wake up too early or travel a lot in the morning. We had a decent sized room, the receptionists were very kind and helpful. I saw the reviews and was slightly concerned but luckily could not find anything negative. We also used the shuttle from the airport and to the airport as well after dropping the hire car off.

Excellent service and a great location if you’re travelling. It’s about a 5-min walk from the tube station and the 200E airport transfer bus. The room was clean and had everything you might need for a short stay, including some lovely complimentary local snacks. Very pleased — I would happily stay here again.

The Hotel Chesscom has come a long way and improved/changed significantly in the last ten years. For guests who depart or land at Budapest Airport, the location as well ad the price/quality ratio is hard to beat. Friendly, professional english speaking staff, clean, well heated rooms, with comfortable beds. Stable wifi, good water pressure. The only downside is the weak sound insulation.

We’ve just returned from a short stay at this hotel whilst attending the Hungary Grand Prix. Perfectly positioned for this purpose. Approximately £25 taxi either into the city or to the airport. The hotel is situated 200metres from the train station. The cleanliness of this chain hotel was excellent. Its location is also very good, with a large, well-stocked shopping mall conveniently located right across the street. Public transport is easily accessible, with both subway and bus options. It's also only about a dozen kilometers from the airport. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Came with a tour group, sharing with one other traveller, room + balcony allow for plenty of space. The renovated rooms have ultra modern bathrooms. It's not the most modern of hotels. Not air conditioning. Recommended bring a fan or two. No kitchens or bar. They do sell basic drinks from fridge and can make you a coffee. Bring spare towels. But as a basic base with easy access to trains and buses n local bars n restaurants. Cheap as chips

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. Modern, comfi room and very clean. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Didn't use the swimming pool but it looked like a nice place to chill. The beach is just at the end of the street, a short stroll away. And everything else is walking distance too. Good value and would stay here again!

The rooms are poorly insulated against sound : I could hear the person in the next room over snoring and all the traffic in the hallway was very audible.

Visited in winter. Very comfortable, clean, peaceful place. My room was warm enough . "Taxi mafia" was brutal - from airport to hotel 90,000 HUF :( . They just have waited for someone tired and disoriented... So on the way back to the airport i asked random taxi near the closest metro station. Such an incredible hotel, in such a lovely part of the city. Next to tram 1 and very close to one of the main stations of Budapest (Nepliget) it is simply the perfect spot for your stay. Ok hotel for those that just wanna sleep and pay as less as possible. It was clean, but the towel they don’t change and they clean only when you check out. Location is in my opinion is not ideal for someone that wants to visit the best of Budapest even though is close to a public transports and the stadium of MKT Budapest .
