I stayed in this hotel first time last year in June and again second time this year during summer. I chose this hotel because of close location to Nepliget bus station, which is very close by walk from this hotel. I was satisfied with my room, which was both times clean, same as bathroom. Stuff was nice and helpful. This year i made a sudden decision to make my stay in this hotel longer by one more day in the morning of checking out and as there was one last room available, i was happy that i don't need to leave my room at all and situation was solved within minutes. Plus breakfast was both times good. I plan to visit this hotel again in November based on my previous positive experiences.

It was truly a great stay, the staff were lovely and so was the room. It was always lovely and warm to come back to especially in the cold times over there. The only issues we had were other loud guests standing in the hallways just talking at late times 2/3am and the hotel isn’t actually in the city centre like it says but there is travel nearby and Uber prices were 10 and under. But if you’re looking for a peaceful area then this is a great place and they’re open 24/7 so any beverages you may need they will have

Visited in winter. Very comfortable, clean, peaceful place. My room was warm enough . "Taxi mafia" was brutal - from airport to hotel 90,000 HUF :( . They just have waited for someone tired and disoriented... So on the way back to the airport i asked random taxi near the closest metro station. At night one driver offered 20,000HUF , but in the morning i found other for 10,000HUF

Such an incredible hotel, in such a lovely part of the city. Next to tram 1 and very close to one of the main stations of Budapest (Nepliget) it is simply the perfect spot for your stay. The staff is really friendly, the breakfast was okay, but the rooms WERE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Also think of bringing lighter pjs than the ones you have cause their heating system is one of the most effective ones (it feels like two different worlds the inside and the outside of the hotel). I would visit again Budapest and I WOULD DEFINETELY STAY AT HOTEL GLORIA. Bravo to their excellent service

The mattress was too soft. The bathroom is very narrow and the shower door was broken and difficult to close and open. We were satisfied with the breakfast. It was plentiful and tasty.

Good location, close to subway station. Room with everything in place, air condition available. Tasty breakfast. Parking lot available inside courtyard, with surveillance.
You can also park on the street, but for foreigners the only payment option is with coins (no credit card or SMS). Also, you can only pay for maximum 3 hours at a time, you must come back and pay the next 3, etc. On Saturday, Sunday and non-working days the street parking is free of charge, but there might be exceptions (sometimes weekend days might be declared working days by the government).

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Gloria.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly speaking perfect English, and the cleaning staff were attentive and accommodating when we required extra towels or toilet paper.

The rooms are priced very fairly for what you get - just be aware that the standard rooms do not come with air conditioning. However the hotel did provide us with a large fan which was much appreciated.

Another thing to be aware of is that it’s a pet friendly hotel so you may hear dogs barking every now and then, however we did not hear this during late evening hours when trying to sleep.

The neighbourhood itself is extremely quiet and peaceful. We felt safe walking around and appreciated the hotel’s proximity to local transport stops.

There is also a peaceful outdoor/garden area which you can use to relax outside.

I would stay again!

We are very satisfied with our stay in the hotel. The room was very clean, neat and smells good. The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly. Parking provided in front of the hotel. Breakfast is very varied, all the food was delicious. Near the hotel there is a metro station that takes you to the city center. All in all a pleasant stay at the hotel.

20.04.2025 Guest

The attitude of the female receptionist is really bad, it is really the worst I have ever seen. The location is very, very far from the city center. ……………………………………………………….

Poor soundproofing, good breakfast
