Canada Hotel in Budapest

If you are looking for somewhere in beautiful Budapest this is not for you. It is set in an industrial landscape a few miles outside the main city. To give you an idea the next tram stop is Magyar Aszfalt or, in translation, Hungarian Asphalt. The plus points are there are excellent transport links into the city. The 2B tram from Ken Utca, about 500 yards away, takes you right into the heart of the city and goes along, eventually, the stunning Danube riverside. It runs about every 15 minutes throughout the day and terminates at Margit Hid. The hotel has 24 hour reception. The rooms have a great shower cubicle and very efficient air conditioner. Apart from breakfast, which costs about 14 euros, they don't serve food, although you can buy soft drinks at the reception. Drawbacks to the room we're no soap in the dispenser, no plugs in the sink and no kettle for making your own coffee or tea. WiFi was good. I cannot comment on the TV as I didn't use it. If you have a car there is plenty of parking. There is a small shopping centre nearby with an Aldi and a KFC. As an independent traveller it was adequate as I only used it for sleeping in for about 9 days.

Very good breakfast, except for the second morning where the coffee machine didn’t work.
