Hotel Gottwald in Tata

I was a sponsored guest at this hotel. During my stay, my uniform got dirty, and I asked the front desk staff if I could use the washing machine, dryer, and iron. Unfortunately, the receptionist refused my request and did not offer any alternative solution.
I expected more cooperation and better customer service, especially for a simple and reasonable request. Overall, the experience was disappointing in terms of service and staff attitude.
If there was a zero star, I would have given them.

Bugs, bread crumbs in the couch and absolutely awful owner!
My room had several (I saw 3) stink bugs in it, on the windows and curtains. After some discreet reclamations, they offered to clean it again, which I first declined, because I didn’t know if the bugs came from the outside or the room was infested.
After talking with customer service on booking.com, I was informed that the bugs aren’t harmful to humans and so I accepted the cleaning.
While my room was being cleaned, I waited in the lobby, making a phone call, where I complained about the bugs in the room. I saw that other guests were checking in, so I lowered my voice as much as possible. The owner (Zoltán Gottwald) stopped me in the lobby and said word for word “Yes, bugs exist, we can’t do anything about it. Next time be more discreet.”
I have never been treated this disrespectfully in my entire life, not to mention in a Hotel.
Even after the second cleaning, there were still bugs on the curtains (see the pictures).
I have seen cleaner/better rooms in 1 star hotels, not to mention 4 star hotels.
I strongly advise everyone to look for the 3-4 other Hotels with similar accommodations instead of this one.

Where do the 4 stars of this hotel even come from? The outside and the location are lovely. The breakfast had decent dips. That’s not enough.
Spa: it was way too hot by the swimming pool inside! There wasn’t even space for everyone to stay in this room. Only 1 sauna was open, the Jacuzzi had no bubbles so basically, it was a hot tub. They don’t provide slippers, bring your own.
Room: there was a dirty towel in the bathroom when we arrived, there was no nightstand (put your stuff on the floor), there was no space to put your stuff in the bathroom, the soap hanger was broken, soap on the floor, and the door of the shower didn’t close properly.
Service: no one at the reception after we checked in (at 5 pm) so we couldn’t report these issues.
Overall an ok experience for a 0-star hotel… but, come on, not for such a price and advertising.

Nothing like a 4 star hotel! It was dirty, in poor condition, and lacking in basic amenities (such as an iron, and working curtains!). There was a wedding when we stayed that was obviously a great party for the happy couple, but pretty annoying when others were trying to sleep (very loud music till 5am). The aircon was insufficiently powerful for the size of the room.

The staff were polite, but extremely slow. The check-in time was ridiculous, a queue of 3 people took 20 minutes to check in.

I appreciate that it's fairly old, so I expected the decor etc. to be dated, but I also expected it to be at least clean - it was not. The room and bathroom weren't clean, and the swimming pool was absolutely filthy.

The plug socket in our room was dislodged from the wall, leaving exposed electric wires, which is a fire hazard and unsafe.

We won't be back!

I stayed in room 209 and woke up early in the morning to a mouse screeching next to the trash can.
The staff were friendly and apologetic about the incidence, but it doesn’t change the fact that the hotel has a problem with mice.

Very bad experience. Bad breakfeast. Bad service. Nothing like a 4 star hotel. Old building with a lot of noisi work. Recomend something else. Far from centrum also.
