Hotels in Balatonfured

Location is the best part, directly on the lake shore, with a beautiful park in front of the hotel. Otherwise it's good enough, nothing special. They offer rich breakfast in the morning and cooked warm dinner in the evening. But the hotel is quite dated, old-school, "retro".

Clean and comfortable room, a little outdated and in need of an overhaul. Quite expensive for Hungarian prices, but would stay there again. No complaints. They also handled an infestation of moths that had arrived through what I thought was a closed window very rapidly!

A really great hotel that is in a good location near the promenade. Nice to have access to the hotel beach too.

The location of the hotel is impeccable, we are completely satisfied. The food is also perfect, always a good choice. Breakfast is rich, as is dinner. A big plus is the bathtub in the bathroom. The indoor pool and sauna are a good choice if the water in Balaton is already cold. I also praise the kids club, the kids enjoyed it. What I would criticize is that even though we had towels on the floor...

I was blown away, and the room, price, and food were all top drawer. Dont get put off by the outside. it's recently been refurbished. I would stay here again without question. Everything was great about this stay.

Location was good but the private strand wasn’t comfortable. There were no sun beds available for to use, had to rent them which is bad! Should be provided! The restaurant was crowded hard to find tables anytime!

This hotel has probably the best location by the lake and probably the best beach area with large territory and a lot of amenities. It's not worth coming in bad weather though as the wellness area is small and outdated. We liked our superior apartment very much, which was spacious, modern, well-equipped and super comfortable. It was totally quiet and we could sleep well with open windows. Well, at...

A good European all-inclusive hotel with clean pools, well-maintained, spacious grounds, plenty of space, and plenty of entertainment for small children (half the hotel's guests). Safety and privacy. The food isn't very varied, but it's fine for a three-star hotel. Ice cream is available on the beach all day.

"There's a shortage of seating in the dining room. People smoke on the beach loungers because, instead of information about the smoking ban and the designated areas, there's a notice saying not to feed the ducks. The rooms are too small for two people, and staying in them with three people, even just in the evening, is a nightmare. I understand that I have to vacate the room at 10:00 on my last day...

The room was not very clean, and the bed sheet had blood stains. I asked the waiter to change it immediately after checking in. The location of the hotel is OK, with its own beach.

Good hotel. Convenient location. Only minor problem was that the pool water was over chlorinated.

The price reflects mainly the "all inclusive" side (food, drinks and own beach), than the rest of the facilities (room size and location- althought an impressive view for those on top floor rooms). The hotel itfself seems to be an old building, refreshed with some upgrades. The cooling system was appreciated, it was not even necessary during the nigh, due to cool temps outside. Food is rather tasty...

Great, lovely vibe 5 stars hotel, great cousine, very kind staff, fantastic atmosphere. Congrat to the team! We will get back soon! András Neményi

We spent two nights at the Anna Grand Hotel, and everything exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, the reception team was incredibly kind and gave us all the information we needed. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and despite the central location, the room was perfectly quiet. The whole place has a wonderful atmosphere, and lake Balaton is just a three minute walk away. The staff...

My husband and I recently spent a weekend at the Anna Grand Hotel, and it turned into exactly the kind of little escape we’d been hoping for. There was something instantly welcoming about the place — calm, tasteful, and pleasantly unhurried. What we appreciated most was the atmosphere. Nothing felt rushed or crowded. The staff had a gentle, genuine way of taking care of guests, and it made us feel...

This was such a gorgeous hotel with incredible service, I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again

We really enjoyed our one night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We were greeted very warmly at reception and offered a glass of champagne. Always a nice touch. The hotel is beautiful, very modern, and elegant. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food at both the cafe and the restaurant was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many...

Complete disjointed hotel, long way to walk to rooms, with poor signage. Arrived at 2,30 pm, no room until 3.30 pm Never a 5 star hotel.

Great place with a good atnosphere, we went for a relaxing trip and had a great time

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel has been newly refurbished, and everything felt fresh, modern, and spotlessly clean. The spa facilities were excellent and guaranteed maximum relaxation. Make sure to try the fantastic massage service, it was truly one of the highlights of our stay...

Everything was so good. The location, the rooms, the service and especially the people’s kindness. Not usually that type but I might be coming back for another time.

Great hospitality, clean and modern rooms, tasty dinner. Sufficient breakfast, but unfortunately exactly the same for both mornings.

We were really enjoying ourselves, highly recommend 🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝 The best location and wonderful room with a view ✨✨✨✨ Great dinner & breakfast 🥗🍲🥧

It was wonderful! Best hotel near Balaton. I liked the sauna, the inner pool and the huge king sized bed as well! I will return.

Food and the staff except one person at the reception

We had a wonderful stay at the Margareta Hotel. Really nice staff and excellent food (we had half board). The room looks a bit older, but it is very clean. We took the opportunity to play table tennis and the children and wife tried a very pleasant wellness. It would be nice to strengthen the wifi a bit and to put at least a basic small kettle in the room so that I could make my favorite tea next time...

Nice hotel. It was clean and the front desk was awesome.

I've been sometime in Balatonfüred and now we tried this hotel, because it was renovated in the last years and they gave us a special price. The hotel has new BUT small SPA department within 2 Jacuzzi's and 1 small pool for children and sauna's. The room's size was average and it was clean. The staff was nice but the lot of young stuff were beginner! (The waiter couldn't memorize what we ordered for...

Good quiet place, clean, food is excellent only one little mistake doesn’t have kettle for me personally is important I need to take my medication 2 time/ day with hot water just sup rip me never ever happened when I’m travelling another hotel and another country always have Good lessons

Very nice hotel, close to the camp next to danubius hotel. Hotel has room where to save bikes. Biking is common around Balaton. Outside pool and wellness also perfect. Dinning was perfect, breakfast and dinner were perfect, I can recommend. More smiles from staff ;)

This is a very nice, big hotel. The rooms are big and have balconies. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. It has a large parking lot but the location is very poor. It's situated on the exit of the city and it is approximately 2.5-3 km away from the public Strand. The water is at 0.7 miles from the hotel but the beach that can be used and where all the restaurants and shops are situated is far away

I expected more from a 4-star hotel. Food was ok+, but I would expect more choice for a 4-star hotel. Our room door (around the handle and lock) looked like someone had broken into the room in the past. Maybe we were just unlucky because it really was the only such door on the entire floor, but no one at the reception told us about the condition of the door untill we saw it by ourselves. At the pool...

The hotel has a good location - 1.5km on foot to the cities center - , rooms were modern, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, and the room had a balcony to. Breakfast and dinner was okay but not fantastic. There was no minibar and no possibility of making coffee in the room. The reception staff was kind and professional. The hotel has a big free parking lot, it is near to the cities swimming...

I/we only stayed here for one night. The hotel is roomy, clean and minimalistic. It's design is actually quite cool in some respects. The room is spacious with plenty of room for two, with the added bonus of a balcony. There's plenty of parking around the side and it's in a reasonably good location. If everything is so good, then why the slightly average score.... Even though the hotel is pleasant...

Rooms are great, spacious and clean. Beds are a bit on the uncomfortable side but you still sleep ok on them. We only had breakfast and it was plentiful and everything was tasty. Only problem I had in this place was that most of the workers here do not speak any other language aside from Hungarian which is unfortunate cos I do not speak the language. Don't get me wrong, they are helpful and really...

Friendly staff and clean rooms. The only negative area is the food. We spent there 4 days but the breakfast was the same every morning. The dinner was decent. This is why I gave only 4 stars instead of 5.

Beautiful spot Beautiful pool and great location by the lake. Also, food was very nice quality. The staff were helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

otel Aura is conveniently located within walking distance of Lake Balaton, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The dinner options were excellent, with a variety of delicious dishes to choose from. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Aura and would happily return.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my mom. Here is my experience: Property and Location: The property seems relatively new, well maintained and clean. Location is great, walkable and safe. There are options for food, shopping and activities. Also, there are two shores of a lake (Balaton) close by for swimming and other activities. Food: We had half board (breakfast and dinner) included with our stay...

The hotel is Best. Room is perfekt, super of food, the service is great, the steak & cake excellent, waiters in the bar of drinks professional. Visit - everybody! N 1!

Overall, the hotel made a good impression – it's well-maintained, with a very pleasant terrace and pool area. Breakfast and dinner were served partially as a buffet – in the morning there was bread, cheese, cold cuts, vegetables, and fruit, plus the option to order from a fixed menu (around 8–9 dishes). Dinners also had a partial buffet (soups, salads, starters, desserts), and a daily-changing menu...

We had a chill weekend here, relaxing in the pools and saunas, and eating way too much delicious food.

Amazing clean property rigth in the middle of everything. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Rooms would need a bit of renovation…i would stay here again.

Our room was clean, equipped with air conditioning, television, safe and minibar. The sheets, towels and the bathroom were clean. The room was warm when we arrived, but after a day it was cooled with the air-conditioner. The furniture is a bit old, but ok. The beds are a bit short for a 180cm adult, but it is not a big problem. The mattresses are comfortable. The rooms and the common places were...

Great hotel very near to the Balaton. The breakfast and dinner buffet are fantastic. Several options, there is some excellent local food for all tastes. The beach is of walking distance as most everything is nearby. Highly recommend!

zsh ok so be aware of this hotel, the main building looks beautiful, but no lift for suitcases..quite many high steps. they put us in a Side building, which was just ok. Towels were thin and awful. Breakfast was however very good.

Hotel is about 12 min walk from the bus station. Few minutes walk to the lake Balaton and to the nearby shops. Rooms are good for the price. You have to come to the reception for anything you need. There is no elevator. Breakfast was very basic.

Nice place, but the receptionist wasn’t very kind to us 🙁 We stayed in the apartments outside the hotel and I don’t had Wi-Fi 😔 The hotel building looks amazing. That deserves 5⭐️

In a very central location, close to the lake and the port, this hotel was apparently the summer home of the 'nation's nightingale', singer Lujza Blaha (1850-1926). Today, with its 27 small rooms, it doesn't give you the feeling that it was once inhabited by a female artist. When there during the week early September I was the only guest and there was only one elderly man present, who took came of...

Beatiful hotel and wonderful dinner and breakfast, especially perfect scrambled eggs

Cozy hotel with a nice restourant, staff speaks German. It is located right in tge center of Balatonfüred so excellent for experiencing and enjoying the spirit of the town.

Nice rooms and very friendly service. Good location.

I was in the room 12 and it was very confortable. The bed was amazing I fell asleep very fast and I woke up to bird sing. The staff was very helpful and food was tasty. The breakfast was varied. This hotel is situated near the center.

Good location, great breakfast, free wifi. Historical building.

This place is in a great location, within walking distance of the promenade. The rooms/areas with a kitchenette and separate bedroom aren't impressive, but they're sufficient for everyday living. The downsides include a musty smell that's impossible to get rid of, a refrigerator that sounds like a plane is taking off (for light sleepers), and a broken freezer (the ice cream had melted).

Absolutely recommended!!! The room was fantastic, parking was available in the courtyard, it was very clean, and you simply feel at home 👍👍👍👍

The apartment is clean and nicely laid out, with air conditioning, blinds, and free Wi-Fi. A washing machine and dishwasher are also provided. Unfortunately, the apartment consists of only one room; there is no door between the living room and bedroom.

Clean rooms, adequate facilities, close to the beach, no noise from the main road.

We managed to find the most ideal accommodation in Balatonfüred. We came to Lake Balaton with my little son for 5 days. I was looking for affordable accommodation close to the water. And I found it. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, as is the Tagore promenade, which is a huge plus. I can only say positive things about the accommodation. Separate kitchen area, bathroom, spacious balcony (from which...

Very nice apartment in a great location. Close to beach and restaurants. Owner was lovely and very kind. Good value and I would highly recommended if staying in Balatanfured.

Very nice host. Clean comfortable room. A small negative is that the window in the bathroom could be covered with foil so that the neighbors can't see in.

Tried for one night. It was clean and quiet. But a very small room with the smallest shower I have ever experienced in my life, I felt a bit like I was in a submarine. There were many shortcomings and I don't want to list everything again. Thank you for your service anyway. PS; The air conditioning had no control, therefore unusable.. 6/10

This accommodation is super, comfortable and the owners are friendly and kind ❤️ they also welcomed my dog. The accommodation is well equipped and clean. This is not the first time we are here and I hope we will come again.

Good rooms with balkony and small kitchen and aircondition. Two blocks to the beach. Good car parking in the backyard. Friendly family. Beds are quite hard.

Great food and drink, highly recommended, clean, friendly, a hotel where you feel at home. I would like to stay for a year. Simply excellent service and staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am visiting this hotel since 4 years. Location is excellent , the building was well renovated. The pools are good, the hotel and rooms are clean. The room equipments are moderate , compared to 4* hotels . Food is not bad. Pools are great , beach is fine. The main concern is around service . Our suite was not cleaned at all during 5 days stay . The reception staff and outside restaurant staff are...

+ Modern, clean, quiet rooms Nice view to the lake Big window in the room Good food The bar and the bar staff was excellent, they were helpful Nice wellness, many different saunas Fast lifts Central location Secure underground carpark Quick service - No cold pool in the sauna area People smoking on the balconies and the smoke came in through the window Finn sauna only 80 degrees Watches only to...

In front of Balaton lake, nice!

To Balatonfüred we will come again and definately to this hotel!

Great hotel, right at the Balaton, like literally, you just have to step out of the building. Spacious, good atmosphere, elegant design. Comfortable rooms, we had an awesome balcony, even though it was not facing the lake. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, they always changed something, and the quality of the food was truly great! It is a big hotel, but the spa was not crowded, even with the house...

My best recommendation of this hotel, thank you!!!!!

The management was attentive and friendly. Breakfast was exceptionally good.

Beautiful, clean place, with very kind and friendly owners.

Wonderful stay for two nights. The staff was helpful and attentive. Breakfast was exceptional. I recommend Gold House and will stay again.

A very quiet, clean hotel with updated rooms. Breakfast was abundant and people were very friendly. Thank you, Gold House.

This is an all around excellent property with personalized service and an exceptional buffet breakfast. Location is on a quiet residential street yet close to transportation and the lake.

Really nice staff. Good breakfast and chill pool area. Wished we could stay longer!

Reception was exceptional! Very nice and helpful people working at the desk. We arrived early at 2 pm… rooms were not ready… reception very apologetic. We had rooms in the basement… which we knew when we booked! Rooms small but nicely appointed. But one room really smelled and the second bathroom had a nasty smell! They helped book a taxi- went 7 km to Tihany for $37 US…. A total rip off! Came...

Review for a basemnt apartment: Extremely small rooms, with moldy air-conditioner. Breakfast is great woth alla card variations.

Kind and happy staff. They were very helpful. The rooms were okay at best. I had to have a shower while fully bending over, that was quite uncomfortable. They had 0-24 saunas and a 0-24 outdoor pool.

What makes the location perfect is the fact that is just a few minutes walk to the lake. Service was very friendly. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. They cook eggs any style you want. And of course there is a very good coffee available. The room was just okay. The design is outdated. The sound isolation is not great. WiFi is spotty. The bathroom did not have...

Very helpful staff, sumptuous breakfast, peaceful atmosphere. We are in Füred because of a running competition, so we asked for an early breakfast, which was fulfilled without batting an eye. Unfortunately, we forgot a plush toy, which was sent by post the next day We recommend it to everyone!

Nice and polite service, very good location, the only concern is price-quality ratio.

Fancy, traditional style. Recommended.

The Ipoly Residence is a very comfortable and quiet accommodation. Set in a beautifully renovated large lakeshore residence it is a well run hotel with a gracious staff and beautifully appointed rooms. Great nights sleep last night, even on a pull out sofa bed! The location is right in the center of the small charming lakeside town of Balatonfüerd easy stroll to everywhere. The third floor room where...

This is a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking spaces. The lodge is quite nice and neat. Spotless clean and functionalable. We loved it and certainly come back. The breakfast is reasonably well with limited choices. However, it adequate. Would highly recommend it.

Real nice and cozy place. The hosts really cared about giving good service and the rooms had aircondition. The breakfast was amazing.

I stayed in this guesthouse 5 years ago, but at that time gmaps was not so popular with reviews. I have only good memories about my stay here, I booked on the internet and within one hour I was already there. The owner was waiting for me and I was alone in the whole guesthouse. My room was nice and clean, and I extended my stay for another day. The neighborhood is very quiet and it's a great place...

I would recommend this guest house as very cozy place with kind owners. We were choose it with my friend during traveling around Balaton, for what was great choice. Thank you

Good return for the money. Nice, responsive & communicative crew. High quality, clean & modest.

+ nice modern accomodation in a quiet residential area + lot of space in the closets and shelves + comfy bed, even if a bit noisy due to its springs + super clean + great wifi speed + private fenced parking + friendly cuddly cat, at least... - professional but glacial hosts, I felt a nuisance more than a customer: the worst was when I asked if it was possible to wash my cloths (so I would stay...

We were very happy to find this place for a good price, close to the town center, close to the train station. It is clean, neat, very nice place. It has a “lobby” with fridge to use that you share with others. You can make coffee there too. The owners live nearby and can be reached. They are very friendly and welcoming. Our 2 day stay was pleasant and we will return there when we visit the town.

This review is way overdue. We stopped by this place in the summer of 2023. Very polite owner, secure parking, clean room. Highly recommend this place. We took the picture the next day after we already slept in the bed, so it doesn't look perfect but still wanted to share a picture of the nice room. 🙂

Very good accomodation for a reasonable price. We had a delay few hours, but it was no problem for the owner. We recommed it, very kind people.

Very friendly host who is always helpful, great location and clean room!! There are towels, TV, coffee, Wi-Fi and everything for convenience. The price matches the quality! I will advise all my friends who go to Balatonfured. Thank you very much for your hospitality and I wish you prosperity and good luck!

Very kind and nice people who cares about your holiday to go as well as it is possible. The rooms are very clean and nice. Calm place with lovely garden situated very near to plage and centrer of the maindan.

Very nice and aesthetic guesthouse. I can just recommend for anyone.

How could one not recommend this gem on Lake Balaton? A picture-perfect location, outstanding food (no matter the dish), friendly, attentive, and charming service. And then there's the wine! I think even Bacchus himself would be impressed. If you're looking for a place that will make your soul smile, you've found it here!

We were there for the second time this year, but we will definitely be back. The place is excellent in every way. Fantastic panorama, quiet, peaceful environment, delicious homemade food, friendly staff.🙂 We love it!

The accommodation is in a very nice location, quiet and peaceful area! There was no air conditioning in the room even though it was stated on the website. The breakfast was disappointing. The staff was mostly nice.

Very great place, maybe the best in the whole of Füred. Comfortable bed, pleasant service, delicious food. The rooms are cozy and can be darkened well, the staff is helpful and kind, and understanding. I think the price is acceptable, and the view is great. Accessibility is also fine, there are two parking lots, so there is plenty of space.

Great guesthouse, close to the vineyards. Very good wines. Reasonably priced. Great panorama to Lake Balaton from both the restaurant and the guesthouse. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. Very much recommend!
