We already experienced serious issues at check-in. There is no reception on site, and when we arrived, there was no staff available. We tried calling the phone number provided multiple times over more than two hours, but no one answered. We ended up waiting in the lobby area for about two hours until, by pure coincidence, two maintenance workers arrived. They were the only people we could speak to, and they were the ones who finally told us where our bungalow was located.
For the price, the bungalow itself was actually quite nice and acceptable. However, the complete lack of organization and communication completely overshadowed that.
The next morning, we encountered further problems with the breakfast we had booked in advance. Access to the guesthouse where breakfast was supposed to be served was not possible. Again, we were unable to reach anyone at the accommodation. Even our travel provider could not get in contact with them and eventually arranged a refund for the breakfast.
Overall, the lack of accessibility and service made this stay extremely frustrating. We would not recommend this accommodation based on our experience.
The staff were one of the biggest highlights of my stay. Every interaction was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They offered great recommendations, assisted with anything I needed, and made me feel completely taken care of throughout my visit. Their hospitality really sets this hotel apart.
Breakfast each morning was wonderful—fresh ingredients, tasty options, and plenty to choose from. It was clear a lot of care went into preparing it, and it made a great start to every day.
Out of all the places I stayed during my trip, Hotel Lambafell was by far the best. The combination of comfort, exceptional service, and beautiful surroundings made it unforgettable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It was worth coming to Iceland just to stay in hotel Lambafell:)
