Reviews
Breakfast and dinner buffet, decent. If you have a walking issue, try to get a room close to the dining hall. There are elevators, but it still took us about 7 minutes walk over to dinner. Fortunately you can do that completely through inside corridors, if it's cold or wet outside.
The shower is a step less walk-in. One person can shower while the other uses the toilet, if you don't mind clear glass. No vent fan in bathroom.
The beds were very comfortable and the mattresses did look new.
Dinner was good with several side options and the salmon was amazing.
Breakfast had some great tasting fresh fruit.
The big positive about this location is it's a perfect stop over on the way from glacier lagoon back to the west coast.
Definitely a 1 night stay only.
Can't comment on the viewability for the Northern lights as we were there during a Blizzard. However, if that's your goal request an even numbered room facing the parking lot. The back side is too close to the mountain to see the sky and there's 2 brightly lit buildings above the back side causing too much light pollution.
So why the lower rating? It's completely loaded with tour and school groups. The second night, our room was right in the middle of wild teenagers, running through the halls, knocking on our door and crashing around. They did quiet down by 2300 for quiet hours, but were up crashing around at 0600 again. Then a large tour bus pulled up just before midnight, with it's engine running, headlights shinning in the room, and people talking loudly.
For that reason alone I wouldn't recommend staying here. There was 2 different school groups staying here in 2 days.
