Great hotel in a really convenient location. Check in was smooth and efficient. Room was very spacious but lacking storage space, the bathroom could have also done with a full enclosure rather than the wet room style. The bathroom bin was not emptied from the previous guests. However, these are all very minor gripes in what was otherwise a perfect stay.

The restaurant and bar on the ground floor was great. We got some excellent tacos and great cocktails.

All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this hotel.
The beds were very uncomfortable and the mattresses were worn out. When taking a shower, the bathroom would flood. The room itself was old-fashioned, and the blinds were broken and could not be closed properly.
We made a reservation through the hotel’s official website, but due to an error on the hotel’s side, our booking was not properly registered. When we arrived, we were told that nothing could be done and we did not receive any refund. We had to make a new booking on the spot, this time through Booking.com, and pay again. We also noticed that other guests had the same issue, yet no compensation was offered.
The breakfast was very minimalistic. You had to ask for everything, and many items cost extra. Only watery filter coffee was included — if you wanted better coffee, you had to pay additional charges.
There was a very loud party downstairs at night, which made it difficult to sleep. The staff was unfriendly and not helpful.
The only positive aspects were the location close to Selfoss and a nearby Bónus supermarket. Additionally, there was a WhatsApp group that was supposed to notify guests if the Northern Lights were visible. The Northern Lights were clearly visible that night, but no notification was sent.
Overall, we are very disappointed and cannot recommend this hotel.

One of the best experiences on a trip.
Beyond how breathtaking the country is, I had an amazing stay. All the hotel amenities were incredible, and we enjoyed food that we never expected to be so delicious.
I especially want to highlight the service, Jorge, in particular, gave us great recommendations both within the hotel and about Iceland in general. He is a wonderful person, very kind, and the treatment and attention he gave us were absolutely outstanding.

We went to eat at the Green House Hotel food hall, which offers a wide variety of cuisines to suit all tastes. Afterwards, we stopped by their shops, where we were welcomed by Jorge, who also works at the hotel reception. He was extremely kind and helpful, providing excellent service and giving us great advice on the best activities in the surrounding area.

The Greenhouse Hotel is fantastic! We stayed there with our 10 guests for our wedding in Iceland and everything about this hotel was perfect. The suite was an excellent room to use as a bridal suite. It had a large living room for my wife to get ready and the suite balcony was perfect for us to exchange our vows and for photos. All of our guests loved the hotel and their rooms.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and did their best to make sure our stay was great. The hotel itself is beautiful and it is so nice that they have a cafe, food options, and a bar. Hveragerði is a perfect location for traveling around the scenic parts of Iceland, and the hotel is conveniently located next to a supermarket and a gas station.

We will absolutely be back to The Greenhouse Hotel!

Stayed here with my family during our Iceland vacation and we absolutely loved this stylish spot! We shared a family room and quarters were tight, but the beds were amazingly comfortable, the heated bathroom floors were a game changer and the decor was perfect. The food hall was a great place to end our first day and we loved the eclectic offerings. The shop had some great finds as well and we enjoyed browsing before dinner and during breakfast the next morning. We met loads of locals (we're American), which we especially loved. Highly recommend!

Wonderful hotel! Fantastic location. It is a perfect place to stay for easy access to many of the waterfalls, glaciers, hot springs, geysers & black sand beaches. The rooms were well appointed & the beds are beyond comfortable. The Staff were welcoming, professional, helpful, knowledgable & friendly. The interior decoration is creative, stylish, & warm. The attention to detail is evident everywhere you look. This hotel exceeded my expectations. A+ 10/10 would recommend!

Very trendy hotel with shopping and dining inside. The small "food court" has lots of options, which is great for couples/groups with different cravings. Also, having so many food options inside the hotel was perfect after a long day of exploring. We were able to get coffee and pastries to go the next morning to save time. The bed was extremely comfortable and staff were very friendly.

I would not recommend the hotel. Aisles between the rooms are very tiny and feel claustrophobic. There is no room service, except if you pay an additional fee on top for it. The doors of all rooms slam with great force and are very heavy. One can hear the banging of doors from neighbouring rooms during the night. There is no wardrobe, just a few hangers on the wall. The hotel is located on a big crossing and it gets quite noisy. On the ground floor, the food hall is way over crowded. There are not many restaurants close by, so it seems most people from the area come here to eat. Overall, the hotel feels like a very overpriced hostel with a hipster touch. The decoration is nice but I struggle to see the value for money.

Super cute hotel. Room was small but cute, clean, and comfortable. There is a bit of a wait in the food hall especially for the tacos. Really crowded. Staff friendly. Breakfast at the Cafe was nice. Not too expensive. It's an all in one place, shop, eat and sleep. Convenient to grocery and gas just across the street.
