The food was excellent — fresh, simple in the best way, and clearly made with care. You can tell the ingredients are local and handled with pride. Everything we tried was delicious, from the main dishes to the desserts.
If you’re travelling through the area, Sjávarborg is absolutely worth stopping for — a proper gem of a restaurant.
What a terrific staff! One of the great pleasures of traveling is meeting people who are enjoying where they are and what they’re doing. If this isn’t the case for these folks, you’d never know. They were friendly, thoughtful and ready to troubleshoot when needed.
I loved my room and felt comfortable and at home. Overall, it’s a pretty cool building to spend time in. It can be challenging, when people arrive late or depart early (no matter where you are) but this place seemed to attract friendly, thoughtful people and I believe that begins with the accommodation itself.
