A great experience! The hotel has the perfect location, only ten minutes by car from the airport. The multicultural staff are first class and their friendliness make you feel at home. The distance from Keflavik Airport is quite a dilemma. While it's walkable, you'd be walking through a dark, unlit wilderness at night, which can be scary. I'd advise women, children, and the elderly to avoid it. If you opt for a taxi, it takes less than 5 minutes from the airport but costs around 2000 yen, which feels like a waste. Compared to the rooms I stayed in Lei City, there's nothing particularly outstanding here. This hotel seems very new and is a great location for airport access. The staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. Parking here is free, there is a petrol fill-up right in the parking lot which is easy for returning rental cars. I stayed by chance having been booked here by icelandair for a flight disruption. In the unpleasant event of the snowstorm this place turned the situation in a very pleasant stay; though being simple, it is very much homey and welcoming. The Keilir is a very nice family owned Hotel. It is clean, safe, has good heat and fist internet. The breakfast is simple but nice and food is fresh. I have stayed at just about every hotel in Keflavik and for my money Hotel Keilir is the best value. I've spent dozens of nights there and I always look forward to my stay.

Stayed here for the last night of our trip in Iceland, excellent location near Keflavik airport with complementary airport drop-off. Managed to catch the northern nights outside the hotel, which was the highlight of our tour which we thought we would miss after 1 week.

The Ladies at the front desk are INCREDIBLE, especially for solo travelers, they are very helpful. The food is FANTASTIC. Perfect place to see the Northern Lights and only 8 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the Blue Lagoon. The roof top hot tube is very nice. I stayed here two nights prior to my flight to Spain. The hotel is very nice with very easy access to the Terminal building. The breakfast was very good and offering a variety of items to suit most tastes. My only criticism is the dinner menu is extremely pricy and limited. This was about 10min from the airport but still cost $47cdn. There was no front desk staff but our paperwork and key we at the front desk waiting for us. While the surrounding area is not overly attractive, for the price and location to the airport (plus really nice rooms and staff) we would recommend it and will definitely stay here again.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Well lit and plenty of room for a roll away bed if needed. Bathroom was super clean and roomy. Biggest shower of any of the hotels where we stayed in Iceland 🇮🇸.
