Overall, it's pretty good, but the room lighting is really dark, and it gets cold at night. For some reason, the heating just stopped working...
Great choice if you have early flight to catch, especially with the free shuttle to airport.
Perfect for an airport stop off. The rooms are big, cosy and spotlessly clean. Groceries and snacks available at reception. Restaurant open until 21:30 for dinner has a good atmosphere. Big carpark. Only negative was the temperature in the shower was a bit hit and miss.
Overall, it's pretty good. What really sold me was the free shuttle to the airport in the morning. The hygiene was decent, and the room was spacious enough. The heating worked great in winter. The only downside was the showerhead; the water flow was just a trickle, which made showering a bit frustrating.
For food, there's a convenient food hall and a FoodDeli (with a small supermarket) nearby. I'd...
Perfect hotel for a stopover before flying. Close proximity to hire car drop off points. Easily connected by bus service from the airport. Free Airport transfer is super helpful. Using words from my mouth I was able to ask for an extra pillow at reception, no need to leave a bad review for that!Rooms large and comfortable. Very nice hotel.
Clean hotel, love the rooms they are very big and spacious, also the bed and blankets are super soft. Breakfast is small but good.
The lighting in the rooms, restaurants and hallways are a bit too dimmed, gives creepy vibes. Other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay before or after a flight. 👍🏼

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. I celebrated New Year’s here, and it was truly a wonderful experience that left me with very warm memories. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and attentive, you can really feel genuine care for the guests.
I would especially like to mention Astrid. She was a true New Year’s elf 🎄✨: incredibly kind, professional, and always there...
Great stay for a few days. Hotel is nice, friendly staff and great breakfast. Nice views if you have a room towards the entrence.
The only downside is the restaurant, the waiting times in the evening are horrible while the food is great when it finally arrives...
Excellent stay for one night. My friends and I were unexpectedly upgraded to 2 spacious rooms. We had a nice relaxed meal in the bistro. A taxi was booked for an early flight the hotel is well positioned to get to the airport.
We got a room the night of and the front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. This place is in walking distance of a 24hr market and a few restaurants. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was well prepared and staffed.
The drinks were nice and the food was yummy.
The tv was nice in the room and the shower as well. They had nice toiletries too.
We also had breakfast included with our stay...
A great experience! The hotel has the perfect location, only ten minutes by car from the airport. The multicultural staff are first class and their friendliness make you feel at home. They serve a very early breakfast at 5 a.m., that includes English breakfast, Asian food and a variety of fruit. Highly recommended!
It is an ok hotel but the price compared to what you get is outrageous. The interior design in my room was non existent, wooden floors instead of carpet, the bed was too small to reach the wall night stands. It seemed all like someone tried to design a hotel in the 90s and then gave up half way through. However, the breakfast is really good staff is friendly (although only one person can take payments...

Quaint little add-on to the luxurious hotel which helped us feel welcome. Breakfast is worth the extra money. Great selection of food in the Bistro. The spa is phoneomenal and reasonably priced..had things I had never heard of before, very very relaxing.
Probably one of the good price-to-quality ratio accommodations near the airport. Just wished they had an actual shuttle to the hotel.
One of the reasons I booked this place is because it is listed with airport transfer: however, once booked, I was informed there is no such service and to take a taxi. This costs $40 for a 7 min ride. The room is simple and plain, fine for a night's stay. You get breakfast and can order meals and taxis at the hotel across the street, but beware, the waitress tried to rip me off charging me $139 for...
Group of people from an undisclosed Asian country came in with a large group and “unpacked” for 3 plus hours, leaving all of their doors open so they could more efficiently communicate room to room and sit in the hallway we all shared. The night before wasn’t bad, but that group understood that some folks can’t sleep with loud floor wide conversations going on. I asked front desk to check on it which...
I chose this as my last accommodation before leaving Iceland. The accommodation was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was also great.
The breakfast is good, and the guesthouse room with shared bathroom is nice, but it's quite small.

Quite close to the airport. The room was pretty standard. The restaurant downstairs was decent, the fried fish was good, but I wouldn't recommend the steak.
If you have an early flight it's a good option and just 3km away from airport.
The distance from Keflavik Airport is quite a dilemma. While it's walkable, you'd be walking through a dark, unlit wilderness at night, which can be scary. I'd advise women, children, and the elderly to avoid it. If you opt for a taxi, it takes less than 5 minutes from the airport but costs around 2000 yen, which feels like a waste.
The hotel itself is fantastic, as expected from a Marriott property...
It's pretty good overall. The only downside is there's no direct way to get there from the city center; you have to take a taxi.
Compared to the rooms I stayed in Lei City, there's nothing particularly outstanding here. The hotel's 3km distance from the airport is quite inconvenient; it's a long walk without a dedicated sidewalk. Only Marriott members can enjoy the airport shuttle service before 8 AM. After 8 AM, taxis are the only option, and a 3km, 4-minute drive cost over 30 USD. It would have been better to pay a bit more...
This hotel seems very new and is a great location for airport access. The staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. Parking here is free, there is a petrol fill-up right in the parking lot which is easy for returning rental cars. There is also a shuttle that runs to the airport, you just need to let the staff know you are interested in the service. Overall, a very functional...

I stayed by chance having been booked here by icelandair for a flight disruption. In the unpleasant event of the snowstorm this place turned the situation in a very pleasant stay; though being simple, it is very much homey and welcoming. Plus the very kind and friendly receptionist did his very best to welcome, assist us, and providing an excellent solution for dinner. Takk fyrir!!
Very comfortable stay, near the Airport. The owner and his daughter are extremely friendly. Rooms are clean and quiet.
Clean, warm, and comfortable bed. The shower is deep/hard to get into and slippery. I recommend a no slip mat inside the shower for added safety.
Great airport hotel. Only complaint is that our glass doors on the shower wouldn't close no matter how hard we tried.
Appreciated the staff at this hotel, they were very happy to help with anything needed!
Only intended as an overnight stay to catch the early flight the following day. For this sufficient. Room surprisingly large, but very spartan furnished. Bathroom, shower and especially shower head are getting on in years. Conclusion: For one night ok, but and it was already the cheapest accommodation near the airport, way too expensive.

this was the hotel icelandair stuck us with because the delay out of zurich made us miss our connection. very basic, adequate under the circumstances. check in was slow because there was only one lady at the desk and there were many of us. Iair probably uses this hotel all the time because it is empty. As one guy put it, it was the worst hotel he has stayed in. It wasn't that bad as it had a bed...
The staff was super friendly, even changing my room so I would have a better view in case the northern lights would make an appearance! I had to be up super early for a flight so in-room coffee makers would be my suggestion. Otherwise staff gave me a complimentary transfer back to the airport, what more could I ask for?!
The Keilir is a very nice family owned Hotel. It is clean, safe, has good heat and fist internet. The breakfast is simple but nice and food is fresh. I have stayed at just about every hotel in Keflavik and for my money Hotel Keilir is the best value. I've spent dozens of nights there and I always look forward to my stay.
Hotel Keiler is lovely, nice rooms and conveniently located in town. Staff is the best part, very friendly and helpful especially when we were in a tough travel situation working through Icelandair. Can’t thank staff enough for the help!
One note, you’ll need shampoo, or may need to ask about it on arrival. A grocery store for affordable needs is just 2 min walk though!
The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was great. Excellent hotel within walking distance of several restaurants.
First impressions last.
Beautiful hotel and decor extremely nice.
Lady at reception was so lovely , helpful and friendly .
The room we had was spotlessly clean. Bed and pillows were fantastic.

My Parents and I stayed here Aug 2025 before flying home in the morning. Perfect location, easy access to Airport. Clean rooms, we had a room for 3, twin beds for each of us. Breakfast was included as well.
Amazing , clean and easy to access. The best you can get in iceland
Try to go to the capital and don't waste your money
Impressive hospitality and flexibility. Early check-in and late check-out were accommodated without any issues. The staff were friendly and helpful, including assisting with calling a taxi to the airport. Highly recommended.
Average amenities, there's a little shared kitchen on upstair, you might have to share bathroom with your neighbours. But if all you want is just finding a place to stay untill flight check-in time. This is a acceptable choice with reasonable price
Staff was incredibly kind. We actually booked a hotel next door, and they saw us standing in the rain waiting to get into our hotel... they were kind enough to come out in the rain and let us know the hotel we were trying to get into was closed indefinitely. They gave us recommendations and said to book online so it would be cheaper. They have a snack bar that is open 24/7 with chips/ soda/ beer/ wine...

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of the year as our final stop near the airport.
The hotel is conveniently located close to Keflavík Airport, about a 5,000 ISK taxi ride away. It’s a bit far from the town center, but there is a large supermarket within a 30-minute walk. The price felt reasonable for what was offered.
The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The shower room...
We booked this place for its convenience to the airport the next day. We arrived late, and there was no one at the front desk. We received an email with a password, and that's how we got into the room. The room was quite spacious. There's parking available nearby. The facilities are just average, though. The view outside is pretty nice.
The location was a bit hard to find because the entrance was so small; I almost thought I had the wrong place, which might have been due to it being nighttime. The sink was right next to the bed, which was inconvenient. The room was also very narrow. Neighbors were having a party late into the night, so I didn't sleep at all. There was no one on duty, and it was self-service, so I didn't feel comfortable...
This hotel is close-ish to the airport and overlooks the harbour. It’s a self service hotel (so check with them early for the details of getting into your room). A lovely server in the restaurant was able to help us when I didn’t get the email with the check in information.

This was our last night's stay in Iceland. It was an easy check in with a code access. No staff were there upon our arrival. Such a beautiful guesthouse situated close to Keflavík airport. We had the pleasure of seeing the northern lights during our stay! Although we only stayed one night at Raven BnB, we felt at home. Lovely old style BnB. Quirky and comfortable
Lovely old style Bed and Breakfast. Quirky and comfortable. Host was very friendly (ask to see photos of volcano eruption!). Great location for a quick trip. Shared bath(s) was a bit awkward but fine really. Breakfast selection was immense and very good.
A very original accommodation with individually furnished rooms and friendly hosts.
quirky B&B
Quirky. One night and twin beds for mom and daughter worked. Bathrooms downstairs make you sort of not want to shower. Towels interesting. Nice breakfast. Very close to the airport terminal. Breakfast starts from 4am. It is very easy to catch early flight. Bottom of shower screen is not sealed, water can run into basin and toilet area.
The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the KEF Airport of Iceland and offers breakfast from 4:00 am, which is a great convenience for travellers catching early flights. The room was spacious and clean. A pleasant stay there!
Only 5 min walk from Airport.
But if it rain, the walkway becomes very wet. So it s so hard to darg our luguages.
Nice hotel located just opposite to the airport, good choice for guests that have an early morning flight as the airport check in and security check might take a while in peak seasons. The room is big and comfortable. Food in the restaurant is fresh and delicious, reasonable price in Iceland and also great services and extra long opening hours for flight guests.
Room lacked heating.
Double bed was two single mattress pushed together with uncomfortable gap between and no mattress topper.
Food was ok.
Only reason to stay here is the 2 minute walk to airport for the 0600 flight.
Check-in and checkouts was easy
Pros: Close to the airport! Only a 4-minute walk. There's a hot water kettle.
Cons: The bed is small, and the duvet is thin and short (Are all Scandinavians that short?) – it doesn't even cover my feet. The shower water temperature is terrible, not hot at all, though the sink water is warm. Crucially, I couldn't find any heating in the entire room... I was shivering in the -2 degree weather.

Stayed here for the last night of our trip in Iceland, excellent location near Keflavik airport with complementary airport drop-off. Managed to catch the northern nights outside the hotel, which was the highlight of our tour which we thought we would miss after 1 week.
The Ladies at the front desk are INCREDIBLE, especially for solo travelers, they are very helpful. The food is FANTASTIC. Perfect place to see the Northern Lights and only 8 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the Blue Lagoon. The roof top hot tube is very nice. Perfect location with lots of nearby shops, supermarkets and bakeries.

We had a wonderful stay at this fabulous Viking themed hotel. The staff & service were impeccable, and nothing was never too much trouble. The food at the adjoining restaurant was also truly delicious. They really made our stay a time to remember for all the right reasons. ❤️
Disappointing first stay at this hotel. Most of the staff were lovely and helpful however there was a man working there who was grumpy, unhelpful and rude. Didn’t seem to want to serve people and wouldn’t help us with an early breakfast.
The standard room was tiny with no room for luggage and two people.

Had to stay here for a second day after being delayed due to cancellations at the airport. This is a very nice hotel and is quite cheap, although you get what you pay for.
The rooms were extremely minimalistic, just the minimums that you need like a bed, table, TV, etc. The room and bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were also friendly.
The breakfast however was not amazing...
We stayed in the newer building. The bathrooms were nice but the linens and towels were dirty and had hair on them. The walls apparently are thin because the room next door to us kept banging on the wall telling us to be quiet. There was no elevator so we had to carry luggage up 3 flights. It's close to the hotel. Kinda dark outside at night.
Great place, room we had was small but comfortable and functional. Lived the feel of the hotel...it was very close to the airport and super good value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was quirky with large bar, lobby, seating area type thing. Would certainly stay here again

The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for two people. The breakfast was good and hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend if you plan on renting a car. It is not as convenient when you depend on the public bus and excursion pickups for transportation.
Our original room experienced a pluming issue on the 1st morning. We were moved straight away no problem. Staff on reception primarily Anna were amazing and extremely helpful, and really help us to enjoy our stay in iceland. Breakfast was a simple buffet style but for the price was ample. Would definitely come back and stay again

5 minute walk from several takeaway places & restaurants and a local shop. Easy pickups for Reykjavik Sightseeing day tours too. No restaurant at the hotel but they do a tasty buffet breakfast and have a bar.
We stayed in room 237 and the bathroom smelled like mildew / mold. I think it was coming from the sink. It made the whole room smell. I don’t think it’s healthy to breath in. We stayed one night at this hotel in a family apartment. It had 2 double beds and one twin which fit 5 of us perfectly. This is almost like a hostel the check in information was emailed a day before the which was convenient. Can’t comment on staff since we did not interact with anyone.Overall it’s an alright place to stay close to the airport.
I stayed here two nights prior to my flight to Spain. The hotel is very nice with very easy access to the Terminal building. The breakfast was very good and offering a variety of items to suit most tastes. My only criticism is the dinner menu is extremely pricy and limited. Overall a great stay clean and comfortable hotel which I would really recommend.

The older gentleman staff member is outstanding and so sweet. I didn’t know what to expect with the breakfast but it was simple yet satisfying. Highly recommend the peppermint tea. She helped with information about the area, and also to book my next PCR appointment...
clean and well-maintained family-run hotel. My last stop before heading to the airport.

Hotel with spacious rooms and soap and shampoo in bathroom..my sheets were wrinkly and spotty so i didn't know if they were fresh or not 🤷🏻♀️ but for one night or better a couple of hours before flying out from Kef airport it was good enough.
You get a hairdryer asking reception..which is not always there. But when they are friendly. We arrived late and wanted some coffee. So he opened the breakfast...
This hotel don't have elevator and no one is there to help you with luggage. It was not a pleasant experience when you have 50lbs bags to carry one flight up.. I gave 3 star because it is very close the international airport.
The room were clean but they provide super basic service. Breakfast only served from 8-10am.. take out is not allowed.
Very nice hotel! It was clean, quiet, and the rooms had their own bathrooms! Complimentary breakfast was very good, thanks to having pancakes available! Located off the beaten path, but still close to city emmenities.
This place was wonderful. Very clean and cute rooms. The staff were so kind and accommodating. We arrived much earlier than anticipated and they did not have a problem readying our room quicker than they were supposed to. This place might be in the middle of nowhere, but it was my favorite part of Iceland. There is a gorgeous path that runs right along the water with flower fields and cute little houses...
This is a great hotel (no construction). Room was large, staff are very nice, check in was fast, buffet breakfast was quite nice. While the surrounding area is not overly attractive, for the price and location to the airport (plus really nice rooms and staff) we would recommend it and will definitely stay here again.
Very clean and spacious rooms. Well lit and plenty of room for a roll away bed if needed. Bathroom was super clean and roomy. Biggest shower of any of the hotels where we stayed in Iceland 🇮🇸.
It is true, there is no elevator so you will have to carry your luggage up two flights of stairs.
There is a nice common room with microwave, stoves and fridge. The breakfast was a sack lunch type deal, and it...
