Overall the worst hotel experience ever. The woman working there was horrible and very rude to me and my parents, gave me a wrong room where the wet towels of the previous owner had not been changed and trash not emptied. Then they gave me a hard time for over half an hour, wanting me to prove I had paid by showing them my bank account, threatening to kick me out from the hotel when I had paid two months in advance and was in my right. The booked a taxi the next morning that never came and the woman working there yelled at me for criticizing the overall service. Very frustrating experience overall. I arrived at the airport exhausted emotionally of the last 15 hours dealing with the unprofessional service of that terrible hotel. They did offer a discount to me at first, but never followed through and I did not get anything from them, even though they recognized their mistake. As I was pointing out how frustrating this experience was with them, the guy from the staff came up to me, put his hand on my shoulder and said "man, don't be like that.". That speaks for itself. Do not go there. They did cancel my booking pretexting a "no show" even though I paid and staid there probably so I could not write a review, I had to ask booking.com to send me the review link. Go the lovely jazz hotel nearby. Avoid at all cost!

this was the hotel icelandair stuck us with because the delay out of zurich made us miss our connection. very basic, adequate under the circumstances. check in was slow because there was only one lady at the desk and there were many of us. Iair probably uses this hotel all the time because it is empty. As one guy put it, it was the worst hotel he has stayed in. It wasn't that bad as it had a bed, a shower, and good internet. Good enough for free but not a place i would pick for myself and pay for. I did sleep ok.

We were told breakfast was at 7. i went down and the old guy said 7:25. it was not a misunderstanding of communication. 7:25 to 9 sounds completely different that 7 to 9 as the desk lady told us. The old guy was still organizing it at 7:25. he let me in and i prepared my coffee in the dark. There was sliced bread , cheese, and meat but no mayo. There was cereal but no milk. I grabbed a banana and went back to my room.

The nice thing about the hotel was it was on the water and i enjoyed the morning stroll with the sunrise. We were kicked out of the hotel at 11 meaning we would get to spend 5 hours at the lousy airport waiting for our flight.

The staff was super friendly, even changing my room so I would have a better view in case the northern lights would make an appearance! I had to be up super early for a flight so in-room coffee makers would be my suggestion. Otherwise staff gave me a complimentary transfer back to the airport, what more could I ask for?!

The Keilir is a very nice family owned Hotel. It is clean, safe, has good heat and fist internet. The breakfast is simple but nice and food is fresh. I have stayed at just about every hotel in Keflavik and for my money Hotel Keilir is the best value. I've spent dozens of nights there and I always look forward to my stay.

Hotel Keiler is lovely, nice rooms and conveniently located in town. Staff is the best part, very friendly and helpful especially when we were in a tough travel situation working through Icelandair. Can’t thank staff enough for the help!

One note, you’ll need shampoo, or may need to ask about it on arrival. A grocery store for affordable needs is just 2 min walk though!

First impressions last.
Beautiful hotel and decor extremely nice.
Lady at reception was so lovely , helpful and friendly .
The room we had was spotlessly clean. Bed and pillows were fantastic.
Shower area was delightful.
All in all our stay here was fabulous.
Highly unlikely we will ever be back in Reykjavik but if ever I hear of family or friends looking for great accommodation I will most definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is on Main street, so within walking distance to many things, which is nice. We had a room on the back side of the building so it was quiet other than the general noise of life. The outside of the property was deceiving, as it was under construction, but the interior was clean and updated. We had a very early flight so we did not get to experience the breakfast option.

It did not have coffee or tea, which may have been an oversight.

We did not have breakfast. We were transferred to another hotel. Very different from what we paid for. But housekeepers were very nice and office person was very nice

It was very inconvenient not to have an elevator to the upper floor.
I am compromise in lifting, and it was a problem.
I also encounter two other individuals struggling with their luggage.
A good price for a nights stay should not compromise your health.
