Hotel Hlid in Hveragerdhi

The breakfast alone is worth travelling to Iceland. The view of the Northern Lights over the table top mountain behind the hotel is just an added benefit. Amazing service. I could not possibly offer a higher recommendation for lodging.

The hotel is simple but has all basic amenities. It is clean and has very comfortable beds.
The staff was very nice and helpful, available any time. Breakfast is simple but good.

Glasses or water in the room, bad connection to internet. The personal are very nice.

A nice little hotel, surrounded by farms and a great view of the surrounding countryside.
It is a bit out of the way, but then there is no traffic. A great base for exploring the south of Iceland.

Very peaceful. They will swich of all outside lights if you want to watch aurora outside.
Hottub under the stairs is a nice touch.

Me and my friends came here with our husbands for dinner ,drinks and breakfast and the experience was out of this world.The food was so delicious we had salmon and roasted leg of lamb that they pulled from the bone and served with hot potato salad and veggies and gravy that was out of this world. After dinner we sat in the lounge area where we were drinking and the chef brought us snacks and coffee and we were treated like royalty. The bed was very comfy and firm mattress great for my back and breakfast was the icing on the cake.We will all be back.

Simple and cozy hotel option. Great breakfast buffet with skyr, museli, eggs, sausage and sandwich options. Good coffee and I'm very particular about coffee. The location is quiet and a bit isolated with nothing within walking distance. Cute town nearby with food and hiking options. We didn't eat dinner here, but they do serve a few dinner options at the hotel restaruant.
