Hotel Hilda in Reykjavik

Thy refused to give me credit for a room cancelled because of Covd shut down in 2020. Every other hotel cancelled allowed me to reschedule to 2023. These folks have no sense of customer service.

Do not try to turn up before 1500 - you will be turned away.
We paid for breakfast - it is meant to be available by 0700 - we had events each day and had to be out early (sometimes breakfast was not even ready by 0720) so we had to miss out.
The breakfast guy was extremely rude and unhelpful. Do not ask him for example some milk for coffee if he is doing something as it's just a no - you will get it when he is ready.
Tea and coffee was expected to be available 24/7 - not so - it is made at 0709 and put in thermus flasks and that's it for the day (by midday it is luke warm and by evening.....) some days there was a kettle to make hot water but some days it was not and half the days there was no milk.
The WiFi worked on and off.
In our toilet there was a large window opposite with no blinds or curtains so anybody could see you on the toilet, in the bath or having a shower.
There were broken electrical plugs exposed, the TV did not work properly and although it says you can report problems at reception (there is no reception and nobody to report to).
Two of the three radiators were not working, getting to our floor involved 3 flights of very steep stairs, the chair in our room was broken, balcony was very slippery and dangerous and overall disappointing.
