I only had dinner here (I was with a tour group that came for dinner) the food was AMAZING!! The Lamb Soup was the best I've ever had. The Pot Roast was sooooo good, the vegetables were sauted in a yummy sauce, the coleslaw had a mild sweet taste that fabulous and for desert the Cream Cake fabulous!!

We had such a great stay at Lysuholl!! Honestly it could not have been better. Our room was very clean and pretty and we could actually see nothern lights out of the window. The host family was very kind and welcoming. They made every day fresh food that was sooo delicious! Also for vegetarians there is a big selection. At Lysuholl we could do so many activites on the farm and with the animals which were also treated so loving and kind. Also we got many tips from the host family which road trips we can make and which places we should defentily see. All in all I would absolutely recommend a stay at Lysuholl.

Our group was struck by strong winds and we were not able to move forward in our return back at our hotel. This one offered us a very warm hospitality, with hot tea, water, cake and they also cooked for us soup. We had the chance to rest, charge our phones and wait for the storm to slow down. Many thanks to our local guide Birgir Baldursson.

As we were returning to Reykjavík, the weather got much worse, with strong winds and a heavy snowstorm, making it impossible not to stop somewhere. There were 40 of us, and they hosted all of us for a few hours until the weather calmed down. They prepared delicious fish and tomato soups for us. Truly wonderful people very kind and incredibly hospitable. Big thank you also to Birgir for organising this.

We got stuck in a road nearby due to strong winds and these amazing people took as in. Served as tea , cake and the most tasty soup. The facilities were really clean. I can't recommend them enough!!!!! If I ever visit Iceland again I will defently stay in this hotel. Hopefully with better weather

An exceptional experience and truly genuine hospitality! Due to the bad weather, we found ourselves in a difficult situation, and the hotel welcomed us warmly and immediately offered us coffee and food without hesitation. This kind of kindness and professionalism is rare and deeply appreciated.

Everything was amazing! Rooms were updated, cozy & had everything you’d need. The food was the best meal of the trip! Such a welcoming atmosphere and highlight stay of the trip.
