I stayed in one of the seaview twin rooms with a friend for two nights. Check in went really smoothly even though we arrived later than anyone was there, we were given a code to the key and managed fine. The location was perfect, right near the whale watching tour we had come here to do. The whole place was so lovely and clean, feeling very homely and with a kitchen filled with everything you might need. We met one of the workers on the second day who was so friendly and checking everything had gone okay. I would absolutely recommend this guesthouse to anybody travelling through.

Me and my family had the best time staying at Við Hafið! The staff is so friendly, nice and helpful. The rooms and overall place is so clean and homely i wanted to stay longer. The location is in such a terrific place with a beautiful view, and Ólafsvík is such a calm and nice little town. I happened to meet the owners while staying here and they could not have been nicer. Also there is a cute little setup to make your own food and maybe talk to other guests. I truly recommend that you go and have the best time!

Lovely place. Clean and beautiful view over the ocean. And although Kinga is in the process of learning better english, it was enough. She made up for it with her charm and lovely precence. We where in good hands with her for sure. Thank you Kinga, hope you will be there when we visit next time.

We stayed in a private room that was on the first floor and around the corner (directly across from the gas station). It was quiet with lots of privacy. The room and private bathroom were clean and very spacious. The location was great as it was on our route driving around the peninsula. There is a sign that said the electricity for the washer/dryer and the stove turn off at a certain time in the evening. I am sure this may be for noise reduction but we noticed that during those hours the water for the shower and the sink were cold. It was unpleasant taking a cold shower before bed.

This was one of the most beautiful guesthouse I've even been. Lovely kitchen area, fully equipped, as well as the living room. Also, confortable rooms and good showers. The staff were very helpful.

Overall very clean and kind staff. Also everything in Olafsvik is reachable by foot from here.

Two stars are missing because in booking it is not presented that much as a Hostel. Yes it is a Hostel too.
And the value for money is a bit high. Had at the end a double bed Hostel room for 130€ one night. (no breakfast, no own bathroom, a kitchen for everyone,...)

Very cosy place! I was struggling with finding an open place for sleeping during this coronavirus time, there was a cell number on the door that I called and the lady came in few minutes. She was very nice and she explained how everything worked. The place was tidy and very comfortable, with clean kitchen and armchairs for relaxing. I was there just with another couple, so it was also quiet and good for sleeping. I would totally recommend this place!

It was a beautiful guesthouse in Olafsvik. We decided to stay here before exploring Snaefellsnes peninsula. The rooms were pretty spacious and clean. The hosts were friendly and the kitchen was well stocked.

It was at a walking distance from the beach and had stunning beach views from the property. Recommend staying here if you are on a budget.

The price to spend one night, with breakfast, was cheap. However we were here during lower season. Check in was easy, and it was quite easy to find the place.

The guesthouse was quite modern. The shared toilets and showers was nice and very clean. Shared kitchen area was well equipped with most things. However, as a Swedish person, I wanted to use white sugar to my coffee, which they had none.

Rooms was alright. The view from the room was nice, and they had 1 table with 3 shairs in the room, except the beds + bed stands.

The pillows where not very comfortable as the inside had formed lumps, and the mattress was on the too hard side, but we survived. Room was clean och the staff was very helpful.

The breakfast in the morning was a light one, but that was very nice, depending on the cheap prices. We left with full stomachs.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend for travelers with a budget!
