This is the best hideout in Mumbai if are travelling alone and need a cheap place to crash. It has a beautiful open area for the guests to enjoy. The food is not that great, but you have a lot of options in the neighbourhood. The rooms and washrooms are clean and the hotel staff is helping. I would love to be here again.

Absolutely loved it and would recommend! Having been my very first hostel as a solo traveler I was nervous going into it but felt extremely welcomed from the minute I walked in. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help and give suggestions. Loved that there were always organized activities happening for you to choose from and really enjoyed the walking slum tour . All in all, it was absolutely amazing and I wish I could of stayed even longer! Will definitely be returning!

We had a great 3-day stay at Backpacker panda appetite . It's so comfortable and well managed. The team are really welcoming and fun too and there are activities every day you could join in with. We loved and recommend for people who want a nice friendly vibe with opportunities to meet new people :)

When we showed up to property, they said that they had overbooked and our rooms weren't available. They took a reservation prepaid in full and without any prior communication at all, refused to provide rooms.
On top of that when I was checking for other hotels, I was able to book the same beds for the same dates just for 5x the price. Basically they claimed overbooking and kicked existing reservations to be able to take guests who were willing to pay 5x the money.

We had reserved our room over a month before arriving. We had tried multiple times to contact the owner to confirm this but got no reply. When we turned up, the *** on reception was very unfriendly. He took our passports, photographed them and then took photos of us without our consent. He then rang his boss and put me on the phone to him. He then told me that they could not give us a room and that there was nothing he could do to help us.

I reached the backpacker panda hostel and my room had no window, no fan and the AC I was told would be switched on only after 6 pm. The walls were also seeping water from the rains, and so the air in the entire room was damp. There were no windows in the room, no fan, open wires, and water damaged walls. I'd say there's plenty of better options in Bombay, and only the water soaked streets would be a worse option than this hostel.

Had the most value for money breakfast buffet I've ever had. With 400+/person, they serve options of good indian and western breakfast. The service was great, very responsive and courteous.
