Mirage Hotel in Mumbai

I, IHG Diamond Member, cannot consider this property a five-star hotel. The quality of service and the professionalism of the staff were far below the standard generally expected from an InterContinental hotel.

I experienced three major issues during my stay.

First, the housekeeping staff were extremely noisy. I arrived very late at night and needed to rest the following morning. However, the cleaning staff stood outside my room talking loudly for an extended period. Even after I asked them to keep their voices down, they did not stop.

Second, one of the bellboys attempted to close the taxi door before I had fully exited the vehicle. The door hit my shoulder, yet he did not offer any apology.

Finally, when I requested an additional room key at the front desk, a male staff member questioned me repeatedly about why I needed one. This was particularly unreasonable, as the room requires a key card to be inserted in order to turn on the electricity.

Overall, the level of service felt more like a two- or three-star hotel rather than a five-star property.
