The staff were very kind, the room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was disappointing...we expected fresh fruits and fresh cheeses, everything felt a bit stale and drylike its been prepared on the try since yesterday

First and last time
Hotel was extremely over priced for what the hotel is. Service,cleanliness,food were mediocre. Staff was nice but not super attentive. Ask for pool towels took an hour to get them. Asked for water to be replaced when the room was being made up which they give you 2 bottles. Never happened. Property was nice but cleanliness was not great a lot of families and lots of kids making messes of eating and pool areas really required more staff and attentiveness to stay on top off it. Holliday’s or not place was extremely over priced for what they are offering at best they are a 3 star hotel asking for 5 star pricing.

We booked a few rooms. We drove far to get here and the security guy (not his fault) told us we can’t check in because he doesn’t know how to use the computer and there’s nobody here. We arrived at 11:55pm. Every travel website showed availability and allowed bookings. Management should be ashamed at how they run this aspect of their hotel.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The location was perfect—close to major attractions yet peaceful enough for a relaxing retreat. The amenities, including the pool, fitness center, and dining options, exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of fresh options.

The best part of this hotel by far are the people that work here, particularly management, who in a country not known for service, really go out of their way. They upgraded our room, kept the spa open a little late so I could get a massage, and when the AC stopped working in the middle of the night, did everything they could to try to make the situation right. They have central AC, so its unlikely that future guests will have this issue - it was a one off problem with their IT system. The view is fantastic, the food is quite good, and the pool is really nice, especially for families. The Sauna was not hot, but perhaps we got there too early before it heated up.

I loved this fine hotel. Very nice and spacey room, wonderful pool and great food. There is a nice roof top with unforgetable sunrise. It located in the center but not on the beatch. We set on a nice bar near the hotel and drank beer. I recomand for a calm and chil stay

We stayed here for 3 days on a half board basis. The check in process was seamless. Our room was quite spacious but cleanliness was not up to the mark. I found floss, and a couple small items under the sink. Our used coffee cups were not rinsed and used glasses were not taken away. We had to place these outside the room after which they were cleared. Breakfast buffet had plenty of selections and variety. Dinner offering was limited on couple days due to Passover. Property has adult pool and kiddie pools with great views of the Sea of Galilee. Roof top bar offers great views of the city.

We had an incredibly disappointing experience at Sofia Hotel, largely due to the unprofessional and unhelpful behavior of the deputy manager. Despite the hotel's apparent investment the deputy manager's approach was particularly distressing. His dismissive and non-service-oriented attitude was evident from the start and had a detrimental impact on the entire team.
We felt unwelcome, frustrated, and unheard due to his poor customer service skills. It is disheartening to see such behavior from a hotel staff member in a leadership position.
Needless to say, we will not be returning to Sofia Hotel and cannot recommend it to others.
