Al Yakhour Hostel in Haifa

We were there for 3 nights in the women's dorm.
The people were really welcoming, including carrying our luggage up the stairs and giving us a tour of the place.
We went by car with no trouble finding parking spots nearby. In the area there are a lot of cute cafés/restaurants, and with the car you are at the beach within a few minutes.
There is a kitchen with everything we needed to cook for ourselves, the cleanliness depending on the other guests as well. There is free water, coffee & tea.
The bathroom was very clean.
We didn't try the bar, and there were 2 major events on 2 of our 3 nights, which we could have attended free of charge but didn't feel in the mood to. There was live music etc.
The room itself was simple, with lockable storage space underneath the bed.
Other hostels also have curtains for the beds and little reading lights, those I would have enjoyed but don't think are necessary. Also the rooms are open and you don't get a key, so for locking the door you have to arrange something with your roommates (we locked the door during event nights).
Overall I thought this place was a very nice and calm place for us to stay and I would definately recommend it to friends as well as also coming back myself.

Comfortable hostel with a great crew, good vibe and a nice design. Met some lovely people here and I enjoyed my stay.

Not only is it clean and very inviting, the host has gone above and beyond to accommodate me. I broke my ankle and could not go to get medicine, he offered to do it for me. This hostel is great and the staff are amazing people.

I spent a few days at the hostel, and I really enjoyed both the rooms and the location (walking distance from the train station, and close to bus stops to the beach), but what really made the experience unforgettable was the welcoming atmosphere by the staff and the traditional Palestinian food served. There is also a common indoors and outdoors area, as well as a kitchen with everything. I hope to be back in this hostel!

Very nice and affordable hostel. You will feel like a home because of the ambitious of the place. The staff is so good and cooperative. Special thanks to Tamour, Ahmed and Hunter and a lady (don't know her name). All of them together made our 10 days stay very comfortable. They are cooperative and ready to help always. Will definitely recommend this place for the group or solo travel.

A welcoming place, well-located for visiting the city and getting to the various train stations. Lively on Friday and Saturday nights. An international team, helpful, attentive, and ready to assist you with all your needs: practical information (city, transport), directions, and personal research. Hearty breakfast. I personally stayed for about 10 days to visit the region and was happy to return to the hostel each evening. I grew fond of the place and the people and would be delighted to return... on a future trip to Haifa.

Great staff who are always there to help. Breakfast is sooooo nice and you get a good sense of the culture. So close to everything. It is close to the beach and the city centre. Very nice restaurant attached to the hostel with very nice local food.

Great location. Situated right outside a very convenient bus stop that can basically take you anywhere in the city. It is also near a bunch of nice restaurants and the downtown, so you’ll have solid access to the good spots in town. The Hostel also has a really good restaurant. I enjoyed the Hummus and the Pita very much! The rooms are pretty good, air conditioning works. Showers and bathrooms were clean and were satisfactory. The only issue I had was the staff who slept in my room were quite noisy and disruptive in the late hours. Had I stayed longer, I would have send something to the owner/manager and I’m sure it would have been taken care of. Anyways, overall good spot.
