Fantastic stay at Hotel Moderno Assisi. Our group of 30+ people stayed for 2 nights. They were very easy to deal with - very communicative. Located perfectly - about 7 minutes walk to the Basilica and right across from the train station, bus stop and taxi stand! And you can buy tickets from the news stand nearby. It's a family run hotel and they treat you like one the moment you come in. Always smiling and friendly. They were super accommodating to most of our needs - doing their best to cater for our last minute dietary requirement. We celebrated mass on arrival and they provided space, additional seats, and everything else we needed to celebrate mass. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast has various cakes to choose from. They went above and beyond - calling our private coaches to confirm the arrival and pick-up times and informing us of a couple of items our group left in their rooms and sending them via courier to our next accommodations. Can't recommend them enough.

We spent five nights in Hotel Moderno. The best part was the people. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us great advice on towns to visit and bus stop locations. They made us feel like family. Perfect location for train and bus. The hotel and room were immaculate and the breakfast tasty. Wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful stay- everyone was very friendly, it was spotlessly clean, breakfast perfect. And conveniently just across the street from the train station and the bus into old town. We arrived prior to check-in hoping to leave our luggage and were happy to be given our room early. We’d love to stay again!

This hotel is located across the street from Assisi train station and almost next door to tobacco store where you buy ticket to Assisi Central 1.30 euro one way, in front of the train station is the C bus that goes to Assisi .4 miles from the hotel is the Basilica where St Francis died and the house inside the church he helped rebuilt This hotel is clean and convenient to Assisi bfast included but no variety lots of cake and no toaster for the bread. But you can buy at McDonald a block away, will be back to this place next time

Great location opposite the train station and the bus stop for Assisi and the airport. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet but you had to be served. I asked for bread and was only given one small piece. They only ever had a couple of slices in the basket at one time. It was mainly lots of cakes and pastries each morning. It would have been nice to serve myself as I felt I could not ask for 2 bits of bread! I presume they do this to to keep costs down and only let people have the minimum. Despite the breakfast, it was a lovely hotel that I would stay in again.

Pros: Just in front of train station, take bus line C to the city center. Mac Donald is located within 120 m.

Cons: Breakfast so so only, not many amenities nearby , unless crossing the highway, walk thru underground passage way to reach the other side of town.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Assisi! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the start. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, with everything I needed. Breakfast was excellent — perfect Italian espresso, delicious local products, and freshly baked cakes, all enjoyed with elegant background music. The location is ideal, right next to the train station in a safe neighborhood, with easy access to nearby villages, Perugia, and a bus stop to the old town just in front. Excellent hospitality and service — I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again next time I’m in Assisi!

Though a small hotel in Assissi, the rooms were very well maintained. It is very clean proprty and done nice space management. Breakfast was a bit disappointment but overall a comfortable stay. Worth for money.
