My experience at this hotel was simply perfect. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted by incredibly friendly and professional staff. We arrived at night, and in the room, only the entrance light switched on automatically. The floor and desk lamps were unplugged and had to be plugged in the dark before switching on. A nice enough hotel that puts it's guest on the eastern extreme of the historic city, but still well within easy walking distance of all you'd want to see in this beautiful city.

A lovely hotel atop Assisi with grand views. Short on amenities. Restaurant not open for lunch and nothing in walking distance.

Room was clean. Staff were nice and friendly. The location is about 2 miles away from center of Assisi. Need to buy a couple of €1.3 tickets good for 80 minutes; to go in Assisi and back to hotel daily .

Quick check-in as we arrived after 8 pm. Kiara went above and beyond for me when I asked for ice (which is a luxury in Italy). The room was a nice size and very clean. The breakfast was amazing! Lots of bread and cheese to try. The waffle was soft and fluffy. Fruits - both fresh and candied. Coffee maker was neat- good cappuccino and latte! The room has amazing view. We had a wonderful stay.

In the heart of Assisi with great views. Staff was great but the restaurant was not to par.

The room was small but very clean. An issue we had with the bed was quickly taken care of. The breakfast and whole atmosphere in this beautiful setting was wonderful. We would stay here again!

Great stay Our second 14 nights stay. We had deluxe room. It is spacious, excellent bed and big flat-tv. Everything is so easy and relax in this hotel. The only wish is that the breakfast would be better. The proberty is large and beautiful. You can easily make a long walk in the hotel area. Coming again.

It's a beautiful property overall

The NUN is an amazing place. Fantastic, friendly and personal staff made the time so enjoyable. A beautiful spa area was very unique. Walkable to center of Assisi but in a quiet corner of town.

It's a nice gallery hotel. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. The room arrangements or the building layout is confusing esp for the elderly. We were lucky to have a room that has a balcony that's facing the street. They serve good food! Plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. The Basilica de Santa Maria degli Angeli is a 3- minute walk.

This is a fabulous family run hotel a little way away from Assisi. The restaurant is very good. All the team are wonderful people who go out of their way to help. The hotel is in the main (mostly pedestrian) street of Santa Maria degli Angeli - surrounded by restaurants/bars and a stone’s throw from the Basilica. A great base to visit the region by car, but you can use trains and buses as well.

A very special property. Amazing views we stayed in the building with the patios because we like to have outdoor space to relax we had the end unit which is really nice and more private with an incredible view. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff in particular was very friendly. All facilities such as the swimming pool and the sauna are highly recommended. I think the authenticity and genuineness of the hotel is its strongest point. Personally I would say to the owners - Don't change it too much. Definitely don't start modernizing to much, etc.. Randomly drove up the mountain to this resort to have dinner. The view was really nice and it was a very quiet and relaxed environment. The food was also enjoyable.

Not easy to get to, but worth the effort. Spectacular views and great hiking trails. The restaurant was wonderful and the wine list offered some delicious Umbrian wines, including Sagrantino. The breakfast buffet was over the top.

You can count on a restful and comfortable stay at La Terrazza after exploring Assisi or the surrounding region. The staff are always responsive and helpful. The breakfast had good choices. La Terrazza will be our choice to stay when we return here. 

Our stay at Hotel Ristorante La Terrazza was perfect for our 4 day visit to Assisi. The hotel is an easy 10-15 walk to town but there is also a bus stop at the hotel with a bus leaving every 30 minutes. The accommodations were clean and modern. We especially enjoyed the pool in the afternoon after a busy day exploring Assisi. Would highly recommend Hotel Ristorante La Terrazza to anyone visiting Assisi

Stayed here on our honeymoon and it was awesome! If you need to get into the town of Assisi, there is a bus stop less than 2 minutes from the hotel. If you want to just stay at the hotel, enjoy the beautiful view and their pool, you can do that too. If you're on a romantic trip, see if they have the spa available for the private session, it's worth it!

This is our second vacation here at La Terazza in Assisi. This time, our visit coincided with World Youth Day. There was singing and dancing within the walls of Assisi. It was wonderful. Then, we could come back to LaTerrazza for a wonderful swim with fantastic views and peace. The Hotel is very new and a perfect mix of old stone and crisp clean white walls and newly remodeled room. Room - Very small. Bed was comfortable. TV had a couple English channels. Bathroom - Came with shampoo, soap bars, and shower caps. Lots of lights and plug ins Breakfast - Not a great breakfast. We stayed at 5 hotels this Pilgrimage, this breakfast was the lowest.

We stayed here with a CostSaver tour and were placed in a 2 twin bed bedroom. The rooms were small (to be expected) and a little musty. This hotel has small rooms and a small bathroom but it really is all you need. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. There are small balconies for fresh air. Food from the restaurant was good and plentiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The room itself is really not big, with a nice French bed in the middle, a wardrobe with hangers, a small TV, a table, a chair and a bathroom. We spent five nights in Hotel Moderno. The best part was the people. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us great advice on towns to visit and bus stop locations. Great location when visiting Assisi. Staff was great and breakfast was one I’d go back for seconds. Only downside was no AC and it was fairly warm for an October evening. So we had to sleep with the windows open which wasn’t the most quiet rest we got.

Great location in a beautiful town! Parking in Assisi in never easy however, the suggestion from the hotel owner to park in the deck at the bottom of the city was very helpful! There was a lift and escalator to assist in reaching the top. That was very helpful. It is run by a sister and brother who is super helpful. Our room is facing the little so it's a bit noisy depending who were screaming outside in the middle of the night. The breakfast was very good with freshly baked goods. Highly recommended.

The location was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. My only critiques would be that there was no a/c. A fan would have really helped. I opened my windows a little but there was a pigeon who sat outside my bathroom window at night so I couldn't open it very wide. Had a really lovely stay at the Assisium which was my base for visiting Assisi. Easy, friendly accommodation, very clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The room was great! It had a clean bathroom, nice bed, and a gorgeous window that overlooks the town. The only downside is that the outside traffic (people and some cars) can be noisy, so I'd advise bringing earplugs.

The receptionist was so knowledgeable and kind, he showed us where to go in Assisi during the very limited time we had there. The room didn’t look exactly the same as the photos, but bathroom was very clean which we really liked. Expect a maze-like building and a bit of a walk to get to the 3rd floor using two different elevators. Breakfast was lovely.

The hotel, being a 3-star hotel, was very good and the breakfast too, but the location was excellent. They just need to explain the issue of parking and how to leave luggage better. You cannot park where the hotel is located and you have to leave the car in a parking lot that is a 15-minute walk away with ups and downs and the issue of luggage is complicated.

The hotel shower rooms were small and had poor drainage.

A farmhouse renovated down to the smallest detail, located just minutes from the center. Truly comfortable, the restaurant offers excellent dishes and top-quality wines. The staff is truly courteous and professional, and the owners are top-notch.

Locanda Giustini was a great two night stop on our tour through Italy. This place has very comfortable lodging and delicious meals. The service was even better. We talked with the owners and were given a short tour of the historic building and an explanation of how they came to be there. Wonderful small hotel within walking distance to St. Mary of Angels and a short ride to Assisi.

A one night stay. One of us was allocated a basic room with very old bathroom and shower and the other with a much better appointed room. The hotel is clearly very old and has lots of history. Overall a good stay.

An interesting former palace with spectacular views over the Umbrian countryside. The hotel was perfectly located on one of the main historic roads yet was quiet. Very easy walkable access to all major sites. Ideal location, halfway between Basilica San Franceso and Chiesa Santa Chiara. Everything in Assisi was within short walking distance. Crucially, the hotel had 10 parking spots directly in front, which allows entrance into the ZTL (otherwise forbidden). Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
