Great fish restaurant where a lot of attention is given to sourcing the best quality products. Raw fish, pasta dishes and grilled fish were all excellent. Good selection of local wines.

The food and service was extraordinary. Highly recommended.

Amazing restaurant in a little village up the hill. It’s totally worth its place in the last Slow Food guide. Park on the main road, then walk down following the sign to reach a beautiful house built in local stone and surrounded by a peaceful garden of olive trees. You can dine on the veranda or, as we did, on the terrace at the back, from which we could smell the blooming jasmine.

The food is top class. The menu is artfully crafted around local fish and seafood, bringing all the flavour of the Italian tradition with an elegant touch and careful presentation. For starter we had an excellent seafood salad (good portion size) and a courgette flan with stracciatella and raw red prawn, which ranks among the best seafood plates I’ve tasted in Italy (and I’m Italian!). For main we had two pezzogne, fished locally, one grilled and one ‘a l’acqua pazza’ (with a balanced tomato sauce that transforms, rather than hiding, the taste of the fish). Desserts are also good (we had a sumptuous cassata and the homemade nectarine ice cream, which really brought out the freshness and taste of the fruit), and there is a nice list of local wines. The owner did a great job at illustrating the menu and the restaurant’s philosophy, and helping us choose the wine. Her husband entertained us with the best Italian hospitality and told us the story of the ‘three sisters’.

Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food.
