Every meal felt like a celebration of Italian cuisine. The staff were incredibly attentive and warm, making us feel truly welcome throughout our visit

It is located near the mountain and a little far from the center. The breakfast is delicious with many varieties. The room is relatively large with a full sea view and a view of the volcano

We loved the variety of activities available, especially pedal tennis and yoga sessions that added a refreshing touch to our stay. 🍽️ The food was a highlight—delicious, beautifully presented, and full of local flavor

It's a minor trade off to have properly maintained accomodations

The hotel is halfway up the mountain. The lobby is grand and there are many 🍋 trees in the garden. The room facilities are average and drinking water is not provided

We loved hanging out in the bar/lounge area. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options for anyone to choose. The rooms are a little on the smaller size, but with a beautiful view if you are on the ocean side

If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting

Everything was excellent from start to finish. The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is simply unbeatable, offering breathtaking views right from the hotel

A special mention goes to the stunning saltwater pool – spacious, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Truly an unforgettable stay, highly recommended

You can walk to the historic sites along the sea in 10-15mins. There were a lot of very good restaurants, both serving excellent seafood and pizza

Spacious the authentic art deco feel for us who grew up in the 70s/80s. We had a sea view from the side of the hotel

Breakfast was excellent in terms of choices of food and had a beautiful view ,on looking Capri and the bay of Naples! The staff were generous with their time and payed attention to details- rare for a 4* hotel

The second best part? The pools! There’s plenty of seating by the pools and they are beautiful all with great views and plenty of sunlight. The views from the rooms is picturesque

The fresh fruit was great, the view from the table (when not seated in direct sun) was pleasant, but I didn't find the rest as nice. Their series of five pools connected by descending waterfalls was beautiful

One of our favorites parts of the hotel is taking in the view, sitting by the pool, and ordering drinks from their excellent bar. Can't recommend this place enough

The restaurant by the pools had one of the best pizzas I had while in Italy! The best part of this hotel is that it’s an easy (no hills) walk into downtown Sorrento

This is a beautiful hotel, with 2-3 restaurants and a great seating area for drinks before dinner (with an incredible view of Sorrento)

The hotel staff are kind and courteous and happily arranged taxi’s for us when we needed to go further than the short walk into town. Drawbacks: - Rooms are outdated (this might be expected with the hotel style)

Close to train station and port area and was very convenient. Front office staff were very friendly. I Room was very comfortable, had a beautiful view.

Beautiful ocean view from the room terrace! The room was spacious and clean. The sound of the waves was relaxing at night. It is walking distance to the marina where we took the ferry going to Amalfi

We came here especially for the spa/pool that is advertised on several booking sites, but there is no such a thing. The rooms are spacious, if a little outdated

This was incredibly helpful and allowed us to enjoy our last day in Salerno without any stress. Overall, I’m happy to give 4 stars — with a bit of improvement in breakfast variety, it could easily reach 5!

A few more high-quality options would elevate the experience. Excellent Luggage Storage Service One of the best features of this hotel is the free luggage storage both before check-in and after check-out

The location is convenient for getting around, especially if you're planning to visit sites outside Naples by train. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast. If we return to Naples, we would definitely stay here again

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Ver close to Napoli Centrale train station. Plenty of restaurants near hotel. We had two single beds joined together

After a long day of travel this nice hotel is right next to the train station. The staff was great, rooms were large, and they got us a taxi for 21 euros to the airport in the morning

Front desk Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to assist you to make sure you had an enjoyable stay. The huge veranda overlooking the Bay of Naples was amazing for drinks and lunch.

Surely one of the most beautiful hotel locations in the world. Absolutely stunning vistas over the bay and towards Vesuvius. Often hotels on the Amalfi coast are not truly “5 star”, with tired dated rooms

Not here - great sized spaces, excellent showers and air conditioning. Have a martini on the terrace, or take the elevator and listen to the ocean at the hotel’s private jetty/beach area

Want a towel for the pool area? They'll bring you one but they won't lay it out for you. Nor do they ask if you would like water or a menu. They never bring any type of standard accompaniment (crisps, nuts, olives etc

You're basically on your own after the towel and you have to physically get up to flag them down to take any type of order. Same goes for anywhere else in this place

So, while the location and hotel itself is very good, the entire establishment was a great letdown due to the service. We spent a week here and, since other (true 5 star) options abound in Sorrento, we will never go back

The pool was big and clean, and there were plenty of deckchairs that were perfect for sunbathing and relaxing in the sun. The inside of the hotel was also very impressive

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location is truly beautiful, with amazing views all around. From the top floor, the view of Mount Vesuvius is especially stunning — it’s a must-see and perfect for taking photos

Overall, this hotel offers beautiful views, especially of Mount Vesuvius, along with great service, a nice pool, and comfy rooms

Just spent two weeks here, it's a fantastic base to explore the various sights, Capri,Almafi,Pompeii,Vesuvius etc. Hotel was fantastic,every staff member was friendly and went out of their way to help

Shuttle bus service was very good always on time Swimming pool was lovely, nice and spacious a good siz to do some morning lengths. A lovely hotel to stay in and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento

The food at this hotel is wonderful and if you do not like what is on the menu then you can ask for something that is more suitable for you. This hotel should be rated 6 star for its staff alone

The full service breakfast is wonderful and the staff are all so kind and attentive. The rooftop bar and views are really nice we enjoyed the beautiful views of the water and Mount Vesuvius with a class of wine many time

But at the same time, because of the location it doesn’t have great views. It has 2 pools, they close at around 6 pm, which is early

What a place! 5 minute walk to the piazza and 2 minute walk to the station. The facilities are excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We're half board and the evening meals are superb as are the breakfasts

Great location in the centre of Sorrento the hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful the rooms are a good size but appear a little dated but you're not there for the rooms

Balconies were amazing, room service daily & phenomenal & everything was so clean. You could smell the bleach smell on certain days & that level of clean is hard to come by

You can’t get any closer to the sorrento train terminal and the walk down to the marina is so beautiful and a peaceful walk that we enjoyed every day

I did not enjoy the walk from station to hotel - rough crowd and filthy streets. The concierge could not tell me where to get a wine or meal from! The entire building is tired. No value for money here

We didn’t even stay here however wanted to mention - we were scammed by our initially booked hotel - so we came to Ramada to try and get a room

Valentina, the concierge, made our stay so wonderful and easy. She has such a kind and gracious energy. She smiled and gave us recommendations on what to do, helped us coordinate our taxis and was very knowledgeable

Max Pollio at the front desk said that he would continue to contact the police at the station in an attempt to find my bag. It was a new suitcase but I had a new (never worn) 700EU pair of Ferragamo shoes in there

So the hotel was amazing and we will stay there on our next Italy trip but you cannot get better individual care than at this hotel. When you stay there ask for Max, tell him Robert sent you !

DO: consider the rate plan that includes the breakfast buffet, we were so glad we did! The perfect ripeness of the fresh fruit available was astonishing -- 5 days in a row and not a green, tasteless hard melon slice to be found! Canalope and honeydew to do for! Omelettes made to order come up quickly

We stayed at 5 star hotels in Venice, Rome and at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori. This was the most impressive of them all. The rooms were pristine and spacious

We only wish the menu at the beach resort had better offerings. If going to Sorrento look no further! Stay here without a doubt!!

One review we saw before we went away commented on the breakfast "always being the same", show me a hotel where that is not the case, so yes it was always the same but with so many different things on offer and a cook to order station you could stay there for a week or two and not have the same breakfast twice

Dinner was excellent with a buffet antipasti, and waiter served first course first course and main course and a buffet dessert. The waiting staff were welcoming and attentive, they could not be faulted in any way

We did not use reception a great deal but when we did they were friendly and efficient. Although a fair way outside the centre, the hotel shuttle bus was reliable both for getting into and back from the centre

They organised some of the activities, and seemed to be ever present at the hotel, they were far more visible than I have experienced on any holiday for a long time

Our room was spacious, clean and had a lovely view of the volcano from the balcony. The food was excellent and plentiful. The cleaning staff were excellent

This however, does not change our view that the hotel is an excellent place to stay and we certainly hope to return there in the future

We stayed at Santa Lucia for three nights before our cruise. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and the bellman stored our luggage until our room was ready. When we entered our room we were extremely pleased

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia in Naples as a transition before heading to Positano, and it ended up being one of the surprises of our trip. The hotel, the location, the food, and the people were all amazing

The hotel is perfectly positioned along the Bay of Naples. The first impression at the entrance is its elegance and warm, attentive staff. Our room overlooking the Bay was spacious and comfortable

Breakfast was included and the staff there were very attentive. The location right on the water couldn’t be better. There is a long promenade that you can walk. Lots of great restaurants nearby

We dined in all of the restaurants—the beach club, the pool, and the main restaurant—and every meal was excellent. A truly memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return!

Excellent resort with a fantastic swimming pool, large rooms and very attentive staff. A minor letdown is the restaurant (good quality but very limited choice) however there's plenty to choose from within the 1km range

There are two outside swimming pools, that are clean and opened till the sun goes down (until the dark)

👍I like to swim for exercise and the Golden Tulip has a large pool. 👍There are safe and scenic places nearby the hotel and the exercise room is well-equipped

A wonderful hotel, decorated in a nautical theme, couldn’t ask form more in terms of location right on the sea, shuttle bus ran every day into town, due to the mad prices on taxis

This hotel/ resort is old school! It has a breathtaking view of Naples bay and Ischia! Cobble beach that is maintained daily

Perfect sea view from balcony with sun set. Came on wedding package with 3 kids. The staff where amazing every day and very helpful with twins. There are minor defects with hotel damaged furnishings and walls

One of our favorite hotels in the world. We can’t imagine coming to Napoli and not staying in Hotel Vesuvio. From the great location, to the amazing service and delicious food (one of the best breakfasts ever)

It's near the water and the crowd is small near the hotel. They have good service and are friendly and speak English. The breakfast is also very nice and has a good selection of food

However, the hotel still worked amazingly well with an amazing service from everyone

There are taxis right outside and they have parking for 50€ a night

The include breakfast buffet has everything (even for picky American eaters like my spouse) and it’s around the corner from the main shopping street in sorrento with all the stores and restaurants

Another poster said that people that are not staying at the hotel use the pool which now makes sense given what I saw there during my stay. Also the fact that people smoke by the pool etc

The property was beautiful and filled with amenities. Located within walking distance of shopping, the station, and the water. The room was clean except for one towel. Staff replaced the towel quickly.

Positives: *Bathrooms are TINY but clean and well appointed. *No outdoor pool as advertised, but you can use the one at their sister hotel a few steps away

Miramare e Castello is in a stunning location right on the water, with truly breathtaking views! The area is perfect — close to fantastic restaurants and great shopping

The hotel bar was such a fun spot, and Bar Manager Geraldo and pianist Pepe made us feel completely at home

I wouldn’t say this hotel is 5 stars worthy, most likely 3, 4 on a good day. It’s overpriced for what you get. I expect a 5 star hotel for over $300/night to be almost perfect. Pros: location, friendly staff, clean

We had a rental car and the staff parked it securely in the gated parking area. We had access to the car anytime we wanted. The beach club down the bottom of the pier is as so good too

It’s lots of steps down but you can pay €2 to get the shuttle bus back up if you don’t fancy the steps. The view from the infinity pool was so unexpected but absolutely beautiful

The views are spectacular and the room size was comfortable for a family of 4. Our children enjoyed swimming in the heated pool

We stayed with our children for one week and this trip had been absolutely unforgettable! The staff are so friendly and accommodating! I can’t say enough about them… They really go above and beyond and helped us make our first family trip to Italy one to never forget

We did not stay at the hotel but we ate dinner in their dining room. It was a fabulous experience especially because of our gentleman server. He was so excited and passionate about everything on the menu that we were too

Traveling in the off-season, the price/performance ratio is very high. The room type was upgraded for free, but the room was close to the garden and there were mosquitoes

Recently stayed here for 3 nights while on a holiday, the room was superb and the location was great. Having shutters on the windows and a balcony was a nice touch

The only downside was that the buffet breakfast was a bit plain. I would happily recommend this accommodation for anyone who is coming to Sorrento
