You can walk to the historic sites along the sea in 10-15mins. There were a lot of very good restaurants, both serving excellent seafood and pizza

Spacious the authentic art deco feel for us who grew up in the 70s/80s. We had a sea view from the side of the hotel

Breakfast was excellent in terms of choices of food and had a beautiful view ,on looking Capri and the bay of Naples! The staff were generous with their time and payed attention to details- rare for a 4* hotel

Walking distance from railway station allowing morning trips to Amalfi coast, far enough from city centre. Beautiful sea view. Spacious room. Beautiful beach restaurant just across the street.

It's a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room is quite big, the balcony has a sea view, and it's also close to the city. The breakfast is OK. For Italy, this hotel has a very good environment.

The hotel is old, but it was nice that it was cleaned every day. The breakfast was simple and good because it was bread. It was even better because it was free

Breakfast was quite basic with nothing but sweets, under-ripe fruit and machine-prepared coffee. There were some boiled eggs but that was the only protein

It is a little bit away from the main attractions, but if you don't mind a 10-20 minute walk than It is fine. Would have really liked to see this place 20 years ago. Would have been quite elegant

Only bad thing about the area (not the hotel) is, that the beaches around are paid and the free ones are really disgusting (such a mess there). But as it is not a fault of the hotel, 5* given

Excellent resort with a fantastic swimming pool, large rooms and very attentive staff. A minor letdown is the restaurant (good quality but very limited choice) however there's plenty to choose from within the 1km range

There are two outside swimming pools, that are clean and opened till the sun goes down (until the dark)

We stayed here a day and a night, taking advantage of the swimming pool surrounded by the green of nature, wonderful. Excellent cleaning and kind and professional waitresses. Highly recommended. 🌞🌞🌞🌞

👍I like to swim for exercise and the Golden Tulip has a large pool. 👍There are safe and scenic places nearby the hotel and the exercise room is well-equipped

Lovely Beach and Excellent Services!

Perfect location, great nature, lovely beach adn very friendly staff. Rooms are not well insulated from each other (can be noisy).

We were treated very well, with an upgrade to an executive sea view room, which was fantastic for working and relaxing. The restaurants were well staffed with highly professional and hard working staff

The hotel is built on the hillside, facing the sea. The restaurant has a great view, where you can have breakfast while overlooking Mount Vesuvius

The facilities are very welcome but I wished that the pool would not close so early. Executive club lounge is well stocked and a reason we originally came. It's a 10 minute walk into Sorrento and not all that difficult

The hotel is halfway up the mountain. The lobby is grand and there are many 🍋 trees in the garden. The room facilities are average and drinking water is not provided

It is located near the mountain and a little far from the center. The breakfast is delicious with many varieties. The room is relatively large with a full sea view and a view of the volcano

The sea view rooms have charming views and are a very cost-effective hotel in Sorrento.

It’s a very clean hotel, the staff is amazing, Archangelo was our friend and was very helpful throughout our time there. The location is also very nice very close to the beach. And the bartender is the best

This deluxe Resort is located right on the Main Square. At the Entrance, you will be greeted by a Hostess. She will take you to the office to fill out a form ( they really want to know who you are - all about security)

We had breakfast on the balcony every morning and a few dinners overlooking the bay. Everything about the hotel felt royal. We also ended up meeting one of the owners, Alessandro, on the last night

What a great dining experience this was on the outside Terrace overlooking the bay of Naples. The food, although very pricy, is worth every penny

By the way, dinner by the pool it’s an absolute waste of money: food was tasteless

The room is large and well-equipped. The separate shower and bathtub design is great. The central air conditioning also works properly. There are four elevators operating at the same time

The view is great. The room is very big this year, but the decoration is a bit old. But I am still very satisfied with it. The receptionist in that room has a very good service attitude.

We stayed in the penthouse room which featured a private outdoor terrace. The terrace had sun bed loungers with an optional cover, seating area and swinging chair to say the least

It also had an outdoor shower which we could not even believe it was incredible!! The views from the terrace were spectacular, it was an unobstructed view of the ocean looking towards the mainland of Italy

The waiter Anu was fantastic and seemed like a genuinely good person. He offered suggestions about what to do and where to go during our stay. 10/10 would recommend staying here if you’re visiting Capri!

The hotel is nice and close to the ferry port so you don’t have to go too far to get to the hotel. The hotel manager Antonio was a pleasure to deal with. The restaurant at the hotel was small and quaint

Absolutely stunning property in a beautiful location perfect for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are beautiful and the pools are amazing. Their wellness with underground salty pools was our favourite

The laundry took 2 days and almost a third day as we got it back late the second day (and we had to pack that night), they said no mention of the extra $35 euro fee (for around 4 tee shirts, 1 pants, 1 shorts, and some underwear and socks) and than when we received our clothes back my shorts were an entire different color, we both hate complaining and dreaded doing so and when we went to inform them...

The bus is fairly far and the hotel does not offer shuttle from the ferry (unless you want to pay 150e pp from the airport, they keep pushing that), so you will have to use taxis to get anywhere (and those will overcharge you)

especially if you want to access the Ferry Terminal. It is a 6 min walk while dodging traffic. Beautiful Rooftop Bar and Restaurant. Morning Breakfast has a nice variety of foods to choose from

Someone please find a way to offer 10 stars!!! Had a nightmare flight arrive 4 hours late and couldn't get into our rental. At 3am their staff answered the phone and took fantastic care of us

They even loaned me an electric converter at no charge, since I had brought the wrong one; although with the usb outlets I could have done without it. Plenty of hangers and closet space for two people

Hotel Grand Royal in Sorrento! This hotel is outstanding!! Beautiful property. Has lounge chairs and service at water area with lift to get there. Comfortable bed, steps to the Piazza Tasso

All are very good, rich breakfast, comfortable room There are many seats in the garden, and there is also an elevator to go down to the private beach under the cliff, with a panoramic view of the Bay of Naples

The onsite restaurant offers delicious and elegant meals, one of our favorite dishes was the tagliolini with pawns and brown butter sauce. The hotel staff were nice and attentive

Our room was perfect with a lovely balcony where we could wind down in the evening after a day of adventures. Conveniently located, 5 minute walk, to center of town for shopping and dining

Some hints of shabbiness - shelves and light fittings askew, toilet seat broken etc - but for the price it's fine

My first impressions were that it has once been a very grand hotel with beautiful decor and impressive gardens that now looks a little tired and dated in some places. However, this adds to the charm

At check in, we were told that we’d be charged if we lost the key and tourist tax needed to be paid the day before leaving. We were given a lot of information and had to sign to confirm all this

At the back of the room, chef was cooking pancakes and fresh egg products. Lunch was served in the pool bar. Even though there was a set time with a ‘help yourself’ feel, there was still food to be had after these times

There were singers, disco music and dancers by the pool. There were quieter areas for those who prefer the quieter life. It was nice to see families together playing cards etc. I didn’t see any play areas for children

There was never a big queue for drinks and staff were efficient n friendly. Plastic cups around the pool in the day and glass at night. Some were made better than others. Entertainment was enjoyable at night

Come for the poolside and terrace views, stay for the Italian hospitality and the amazing, fresh, organic food from the garden you get served for breakfast and dinner (fresh zucchini, melons, strawberries, olive oil)

We had a wonderful time here, and the views and facilities were magnificent! The personal touches from Massimo and his team were wonderful, and we really felt at home and welcomed — this was true hospitality at its finest

Breakfast was made to order and waiting for us, and we were also invited to Aperol Spritz on the deck in the evening. We will absolutely stay here again at the first chance we get!

We were shown around and offered a choice of seating areas; the service was excellent and prices very reasonable

We were staying at a hotel nearby and at night the Botanico San Lazzaro lit up was the view from our balcony

We weren’t sure whether we could pop in for a drink as non-residents but were warmly greeted by both the doorman and receptionist and escorted up in the funicular lift

Overall we had a lovely stay but ate elsewhere most evenings as there are some lovely restaurants in Māori which we found with the help of trip advisor. We wouldn’t return to this hotel but definitely to the area

Beautiful views for breakfast / dinner but definitely not a hotel for anyone with mobility issues as there are 88 steep steps to climb to the reception in addition to a lift which takes you only part of the way

The spa treatments are lovely and there is one complementary access to the steam room , sauna and mood shower

As the aircon was not great I managed to upgrade to a 4th floor sea view room with small balcony - loved it. Rooms cleaned well each day and all towels changed. Good minifridge/bar, but no tea/coffee facility

The views of the bay over to Vesuvius and Capri were stunning and the sunsets a sight to behold. Our room was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could have done with more cupboard space for storing clothes though

Some great specials such as red snapper, linguini with lobster - all washed down with great selection of wines at reasonable prices. The hotel is up a very steep hill 15mins walk to Sant Agnello or 30 mins to Sorrento

We had the bed and breakfast option and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The evening meals were definitely worth staying in for. Eugemio, Goivanni and Giuliann were amazing hosts and kept us entertained

We were at this hotel with a group tour and had a wonderful time. Our room was in a different part of the hotel were only 4 rooms in total were. Room, bathroom and balcony was huge

There was a free bus service down into Sorrento but it did get oversubscribed at busy times. The hotel did their best to make sure everyone got there doing more than one shuttle
