Eraclea Palace Hotel in Eraclea Mare

I am quite surprised that the hotel has 4 stars considering the poor food, which reminds me of a school cafeteria. In the cafeteria there is a cooler with soft drinks like Fanta, Coca Cola, etc. which you are not allowed to take and instead they pour you orange lemonade, which does not taste like Fanta at all. When parking in the garage you have to hand over your car keys, but you do not receive any confirmation of their receipt. It is then pretty impossible to get to the car due to various problems on the part of the hotel. None of the hotel staff can speak a word of English, even though they work in a tourist area, so it is impossible to communicate with them. The kids swimming pool was quite dirty at the bottom in the corners. The elevator’s buttons are falling apart, so the management thinks it is just ok to leave there a note saying ´press gently’. However, the rooms are really clean and the room service cleans up great every day - so we would like to say thank you to cleaning ladies! Also the waitress with short highlighted hair is very nice.

We had to wait for our room to be ready for almost an hour. Then we enter and the room isn’t ready. They did give us another room right away.
But the worst disappointment was the misinformation they provided at the time of reservation. We were told we could go to the beach with our dog. At the beach the attendant told us we’re not allowed. The whole point was to have our dog with us the whole time.
