We went to the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte to celebrate New Year’s Eve. At first, I was quite skeptical about this idea, but once we arrived, we were immediately welcomed in a very warm and friendly way. After enjoying a wonderful 90°C sauna (according to the Russian tradition before New Year’s Eve), I got ready for dinner, which turned out to be astonishing in every way. During dinner, there...
Location is good. They have a valet service and also recharge your electric vehicle. We had a deluxe room, which was spacious and high (about 4 meters). Big and good bed. Lot of space for your luggage. Bathroom was big, both a bath and shower, and a sauna! There is a rooftop pool with heated water. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. And the breakfast! It is by far the best I’ve ever had...
Every detail is designed to offer an outstanding experience from the seafront location and warm welcome to the art-filled spaces, spacious rooms, exceptional mattress, and truly out of this world breakfast!
Where traditional elegance brings modern luxury at this most wonderful hotel. The location is gorgeous on the fabulous Viareggio beach with a magnificent roof top pool overlooking the beautiful beach and marble moutains. The staff were exceptional attentive and made our stay even more special. The rooms are spacious with fabulous service. The breakfast is a highlight not only with wonderful service...
Top luxury hotel - a must-visit Exceptional luxury. Everything from the decor to the amenities is impeccably considered. Staff warm and helpful. Food exquisite.
WOWSA may not be Italian but it is the experience at the KING of Viareggio. Prince is not a worthy enough title! Visiting a friend was enhanced by this jewel on the beach ( across the street from their beach club) and it really made our trip to Viareggio. The city itself is a main beach attraction for mostly Italians to summer as the beach is HUGE and the "Prince" is setup to rule the beach. Old...

Room ok, but... the FRIDGE was NOT WORKING and had a very bad smell in inside!!! I had my my medications to keep cool in there and realised only on the third day that all was not right! Also, the windows - the hotel being very old - would not open/close easily. The outside green shutters totaly rusty and hard to open. Staff ok, although following my request for extra pillows&douvet - there were none...
Absolutely superb stay. Excellent staff fantastic breakfast. Great location and view. Would highly recommend
Fabulous Old Style Hotel The public areas and rooms are fantastic and the staff very welcoming. The pool area could do with an update, but perhaps this is next as our room was freshly decorated with a lovely new bathroom. Excellent breakfast and perhaps the best ever scrambled eggs from a buffet. Dinner was fine, but not nearly as good as breakfast. Lovely pre dinner drinks in the cocktail bar...
Nice location ! this vintage hotel does have style . The decoration does remind you the good old bygone days. The room is on the small side but if you happen to have a Seaview room, the view is quite impressive. The breakfast buffet is quite spectacular with many varieties. I enjoy my stay.
Lovely Absolutely fantastic. Lovely staff. Great food. Fantastic pool and pool bar. Location is great. Shops and restaurants opposite hotel. Bicycles for hire. Near train station.
Beautiful building. Great front desk staff who spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Restaurant staff also efficient. Our room was spacious and house keeping always kept room immaculately clean. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a fabulous stay in Viareggio.

Be careful with rooms located opposite the elevators. There's a service entrance nearby, so it can be quite noisy.
A very pleasant stay. The property is beautiful, with services that exceeded my wildest expectations. The spa also left me very satisfied and fulfilled. Definitely an experience worth repeating.
The hotel is beautiful – modern but not impersonal – the staff is very friendly and tries to make things right when something goes wrong. Trip.com didn't transmit our booking – the hotel was fully booked! Countless phone calls later, a solution was immediately sought and found – perfect! The food in the restaurant was excellent – expensive – but absolutely worth the quality! We'll definitely be...
I have stayed at a lot of beautiful hotels over the years, and the staff has been great. However, almost all the staff I encountered had gone above and beyond to help make our stay incredible. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. I’d like to particularly reach out to Serena in the Spa for organising hair appointments for us on a Sunday for a special Event. She even dropped us off and picked...

Loved everything about this property, location, so many places to eat and be entertained, loved loved the Monday market that covered almost all of the promenade, fabulous experience and staff were top notch!!
A charming modern and high quality hotel with a pool, gym, sauna and hot tub. Great breakfasts with a good buffet, extra items on a menu and highly professional and attentive staff. Amazing and helpful staff. Close to everything u need. Amazing bathroom — fresh and clean.
My daughter and I stayed here in October 2025, and for whatever reason (two women travelling together?), they put us in a terrible, small room on the ground floor, with a window that opened onto a dingy street — no terrace or balcony. We complained and they moved us to the room that we believed we’d booked — a higher floor with a lovely terrace. I get so tired of hotels pulling this stunt on us women...
Highly recommend this hotel. It is welcoming with friendly staff and great facilities. It is on the promenade and only 24 mins from the train station, great for exploring the local area. Breakfast is really good with every option available. Would definitely return.
All was fabulous but I feel that the hotel should pay for the guest to use umbrellas and chairs at the beach. Everything is separate

This hotel is fantastic if you're going to Viareggio. Awesome beach and pool across the street, all the waterside shops and restaurants steps away. Very helpful staff, solid breakfast buffet. Numerous restaurants, stunning beach and pool club that the hotel...
Wonderful trip and can’t wait to return.
Lovely looking hotel and a very good location. We chose this hotel as it’s a Relais and Chateaux hotel and we have stayed in those before but it appears standards have slipped. When we arrived the reception staff were fantastic, cheerful and very helpful, in fact they were always cheerful and helpful throughout our stay. When we got to our room which was very clean and comfortable it obviously hadn...
The hotel was underwhelming to say the least. Not sure what gives it a 5* rating if I'm being honest. You are essentially just paying for a room. There are no amenities like rooftops, bars, pools etc which TBF they don't claim to have but even the partnership with a beach they have, you can only get the furthest from the sea row for €30. The room is nice, clean and modern though the shower pressure...
We had the super-suite at the top of the hotel, a trio of fabulous rooms, bedroom, dining, sitting. Outside is a huge terrace, not overlooked and a jacuzzi. Seriously, this is my kind of place. Staff kind of worked, we had some negotiations as to parking, if you do go RESERVE PARKING! But it all worked out. Elegant and fun. I wish they'd dump the downstairs seating area, and put in a martini bar,...

Our room was modern and sea view. It was spacious and had lots of wardrobe space. There is a small swimming pool on the roof, and deck chairs to sunbathe. Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Bracciotti which we booked to celebrate my upcoming 70th birthday and to tour the 5 towns of Cinqe Terre. 5/5 for location 5/5 for the top pools 4/5 breakfast - great variety and quality to chose from The downsides are: - the fact that the people smoke during the breakfast and the space is not separated it will spoil the whole floor experience - the fact that they chose to not clean the tables and prepare them in advance and you are faced with the confusion to where to be sited and this generate yet another...
29/7 room 26. We got a confortable room with a modern bathroom. The food is home cooking style, superb and not expensive compared to local restaurants. Next time around we'll eat only at their restaurant. Service in general was very good apart from the young apathetic waiter at the breakfast bar but if you treat him with respect and as your own son he'll wake up at once. We were absolutely satisfied

Wonderful welcome after our late arrival, excellent hospitality. Prosecco at breakfast was a special start to the day.
We spent two weeks at the Palace Hotel which overall I would recommend to anyone. The hotel location was perfect, just across the road from the beach, and beach club which as a hotel guest allows you access. Firstly, apologies for the late review of this hotel and our stay. The excellent reviews on Trip Advisor was one of the main factors in choosing this hotel over many other possibilities in the area. The hotel is very simple in its design and layout which works very well, but what makes the...
We enjoyed our stay at the Fortunella hotel in August. The food is very good and it's lovely sitting out in the garden to eat. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. We stayed here for 5 days and it was a really lovely place to stay. The staff were all amazing and always willing to help with anything. We were a five minute walk to the beach and a few minutes walk from the bus station which we used every day to take us to the train station for our trips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and La Sepzia. We will definitely be back!
I booked half board at this hotel because of the great reviews of the food and it did not disappoint. All four courses were so tasty and well presented. This hotel is excellent for the price of room. Beds were the most comfortable i have slept in at a hotel. Breakfast choice was excellent.
Lovely hotel. Excellent staff. Immaculately clean. Difficult to fault.. BUT The noise at night is truly horrendous. Beyond the hotels control. Outside on the promenade, very loud drum beat music until midnight . Disappointing , but an issue you need to be aware of unless you are fans of 'house'music and love to have your eardrums pounded until you get a headache. Thankfully, it stops at midnight
The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Tuscany. The staff are wonderful and Nicole made our family feel special. The pool was perfect for the children. There is an old world charm that makes this hotel special.

Very good best location and position . Nice service . Particular place good resturant inside. I loved the old elevator this is a peace of history of viareggio thank you
The hotel is very conveniently located, has a beautiful view, but is a bit old (but otherwise we liked everything.
Very good Location - Friendly staff Nice hotel - good Location. Nothing for 2 weeks - but for a long weekend absolutely suficiente
Definitely not worth the money. The only reason that I chosr this hotel is that I wanted to attend Puccini Festival and this hotel is the only reasonable option. And it turned out that both the festival and the hotel were absolute disappointment. The room is quite spacious but lacked the fridge. The elevator is very old and scary and the surroundings are boring and expensive.
Great experience for a reasonable price Good experience overall. Great service, we were able to store our suitcases in the lobby before check-in and after check-out while we went to the beach. Although the building is old, accurately captured in the pictures, it has its charm. However, the great service, good location and reasonable price made it a pleasant stay.

Breakfast is not bad, but everything around it was confusing (from 8-9, there were no plates, waiting to refill bread or cheese or something). The hotel location is perfect.
Wonderful hotel run by the most hospitable hostess.
Our experience at this hotel was truly amazing, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Teresa. The cleanliness and proximity to the beach added to our overall satisfaction. We are incredibly grateful for our time here. I can truly recommend this for everyone!
Myself and four friends spent a week in this lovely little hotel on a bed & breakfast basis near the beach in Lido di Camiore. Teresa and her family were so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, Teresa recommended good restaurants for our dinner and sent as to a lovely beach called Timovo. Our room was clean and bright with a little balcony with a sea view. Our bed &pillows were very comfortable...
Family run, very comfortable and great service! Thank you Teresa, Rosa and Christina!!
