Hotel Cilene in Viareggio

Everything about the hotel was exceptional; the welcome, the staff, the cleanliness and the locality for the seafront were great. We were pre-warned that there was no lift to our second floor room but our heavy case was carried up the stairs without asking, which was really appreciated. Thanks to Massimiliano and all the team for a wonderful 3 night stay

Traditional hotel managed by an italian family. Had a really good and warm stay with them. I’d definitely stay with them again once I go back to Viareggio

Very good service. Owner is very polite and really taking care about guests. Staff also is pleasant.
Location perfect - opposite green park and closely to beach. Very clean. We took Halfboard. All was very tasty. One point what can be improved - shower room

Early morning train to switzerland was cancelled on the platform. Booked the room to stay the night and leave early next morning. The hotel manager allowed us to check in over 2 hours early and was incredibly friendly. There’s a very sweet receptionist, Irene who was super friendly and very helpful as well as a very cute dog walking around the lobby. 5 minute or less walk to the beach, nice bathroom, bed was nicer than expected given previous experiences in the town. Air condition was sufficient. For the price would 11/10 recommend to anyone staying in Viareggio.

Very nice hotel, welcoming rooms with all the necessities, very kind cleaning staff, every morning they carefully cleaned our room, the excellent breakfast had everything from sweet to savory, all types of drinks, the very kind owner asked you every day if everything was fine, we will definitely return. We requested half board and what can I say, the food was excellent and the dishes were plentiful from starters to desserts! The staff were very kind and the hotel was simple but welcoming. The location is really a 5 minute walk from the beach and in a quiet area.

The Cilene hotel is an excellent hotel and the stars do not count, while what counts is the quality of the people and the environment who hosted us. I really appreciated Mr. Massimiliano's commitment to making his hotel modern and comfortable. He told me what the hotel was like before its renovation. I have to compliment him on how he managed to find innovative solutions. His attention to food and to meeting all needs (including intolerances) is remarkable, I noticed that there are gluten-free foods. I recommend this hotel because we really enjoyed our stay. The Hotel Cilene is the best 2 star we have ever stayed in. Why was it chosen? Because it is... without bad surprises!! In fact, here you will find everything that the property communicates in detail in advance to future guests at the time of booking, as long as the claims are 2-star. The availability of Massimiliano, the kindness of Francesca and the professionalism of the reception and cleaning staff are the driving force of this small hotel located in a strategic area of ​​Viareggio, a short distance from the sea, the train station and the main arteries roads, with an enormous pine forest on the outskirts suitable for any type of leisure activity. In the surrounding area, there is an abundant number of paid stalls for street parking. Another advantage is the absolutely pet-friendly management: our Cliff received the same hospitality as any other customer and in addition he socialized with the beautiful and very discreet Isis, the real mascot of the structure. The crown jewel of the service is undoubtedly the cuisine: here it is possible to consume homemade cakes for breakfast and typical Tuscan dishes (such as tordelli) and otherwise, all expertly made by the owners' hands with fresh, tasty and in generous portions. The value of what you taste far exceeds the cost of food. Having stayed in the summer, we were able to use an umbrella with deckchairs and sunbeds for a fee at a partner establishment located just a few steps away. The room we stayed in was small but well air conditioned, quiet, clean and equipped with a TV and mini fridge. The furnishings, bathroom fixtures and double bed are essential, requiring adaptation but still absolutely functional: they correspond exactly to the type of hotel chosen, the proposal offered and the agreed price. As per the premise, we knew exactly what we would find and therefore we feel more than satisfied. We will return to visit you again, even if just to say hello, confident that our next stay in Viareggio will be the same - if not better - than the one we just spent at the unforgettable Hotel Cilene.
