We stayed at the hotel for 7 days. It was ferfectly located close to the beach, great restaurants and the train station. The staff could have been more polite, at times we felt ignored and some of them almost seemed irritated when we asked them questions. The room was ok, but the contact lenses we found on the floor when we arrived was still there when we left 7 days later. However, we did get clean towels every day and the beds were changed once.

Booked this hotel for 7 October for 3 nights, 11 days before they've messaged me saying the hotel is closing for emergency maintenance! Make of that what you will but it's certainly not a good look and I'm sure I won't be the only customer whose plans will be affected.

Traditional resort hotel, the Bella Riviera is very central in Viareggio, on the main beach road. As a solo traveller I usually have to tolerate a windowless room behind stairs, so I was delighted to be given a lovely room at the front with a balcony and a sea view. The daily cleaning kept the room and en-suite spotless, the breakfast was a varied buffet and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the noisy air con.

excellent quality-price ratio. we lived couple in a small room 414 on the fourth floor with a great view of the sea. the room is small but everything is comfortable, clean. elevator. paid parking on the street in front of the hotel. the breakfast is modest but OK. very good service. thank you!

Lovely hotel in Viareggio - initially when you enter it's like stepping back in time - traditional 80s vibe - lobby decorated with framed carnival posters going back over many decades to present day. Room had a perfect view of the beach, perfect size single room and bathroom - immaculate - comfortable - functional
Good storage TV, air con and small fridge.

We stayed in this hotel for the carnival and on this occasion we met Andrea (the owner), an exquisite, kind and very helpful person. Clean rooms, super abundant breakfast. We go to see the carnival every year and we have always felt the need to change hotels, because there was always something wrong. Now we have finally found the right place, imagine that we have already blocked the room for next year. We returned home super satisfied. Thank you Andrea... Thank you Bella Riviera! !!!!

We ended up staying one night in this hotel in Viareggio, and honestly we thought it would be better... considering it's three stars... Normal room, cold, but beds with blankets (old style)... Pillows not up to par and not double... Empty mini bar... No landline in the room... Staff really kind though... In short
