Palace Hotel in Viareggio

Wonderful welcome after our late arrival, excellent hospitality. Prosecco at breakfast was a special start to the day.

Our stay was perfect. The hotel kindly upgraded us to a room with a terrace so that we had somewhere to relax once our baby had gone to bed. The room and terrace were absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. All of the staff, including those at the beach club, were so kind and attentive and so friendly with our baby. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location by the sea is stunning and very convenient. The whole hotel is incredibly stylish and beautifully decorated and yet has a warm, relaxed and welcoming feel. We had a very special stay and wouldn’t change a single thing. Thank you!

We spent two weeks at the Palace Hotel which overall I would recommend to anyone. The hotel location was perfect, just across the road from the beach, and beach club which as a hotel guest allows you access. The deckchairs and parasol are free, but you pay 10 euros for each sun lounger per day.
Our room was nice, at the side of the hotel with a small balcony which you could sit out on.
The staff were amazing, very friendly and couldn't enough for you.
We were half board, which if we went back we wouldn't have again. I would definitely recommend Bed and breakfast, which was excellent. The evening meal was nice, but consisted of a limited choice of five items for each of the three courses. This menu changed every three days, so by the third day you may not find anything you like. After two weeks the menu rotation started again. There are plenty of restaurants within a short distance of the hotel, if we went again I would eat out in the evening.
The hotel has a roof top terrace which is beautiful, the views are amazing. You can eat up there and drink, the menu is al a cart, and not included in the half board.
My main criticism is the bar and lounge area on the ground floor. It is a lovely area, but is hardly used. The bar is not open until November when the roof terrace closes for drinks. You can sit in the area, but if you want a drink you have to request it from the roof terrace. This is crazy, and for the sake of a couple of members of staff, it would turn this area into a vibrant and well used space. Instead, nobody uses it and people generally go out for a drink as the atmosphere in this area is none existent.

We had a lovely stay at Palace Hotel a few weeks ago and the staff was absolutely wonderful, so friendly and thoughtful. the hotel is gorgeous and the breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options. Everything was perfect but If I could give one piece of constructive feedback it would be, if they ever decide to redecorate the rooms in the future, to make better use of the high ceilings to install taller wardrobes to optimize storage, as some of the rooms are quite small and it can feel quite crammed with two large suitcases. Overall we highly recommend you book this place on your next stay in Viareggio!

Beautiful hotel, refurbished to a great standard, amazing attention to detail. Room was excellent, huge shower and bed. Good choice at breakfast. Nice beach club across the road. Roof top bar is a must to see!

Staff was friendly and professional. Property clean and as advertised. Would recommend to family and friends.
Julian at check in was amazing, he personally showed us around the hotel and escorted us to our room.

The staff were very helpful and engaging. The breakfast was incredible, and the service and food were excellent. The room was very nice and well appointed. Any issues (air conditioning, TV) were fixed immediately. Enjoyed the roof top bar and the location was one of the best on the promenade

The hotel and staff are very welcoming and it's in a great location for walking everywhere! The breakfast was exceptional, as well as dinner on rooftop watching the sunset. I had the sesame encrusted tuna and it was the best meal of my entire stay! Great job!

The hotel and staff are extremely nice. Couldn’t ask for more, location is great, rooms are nice, breakfast is great and a lovely roof to bar to top it all off. Highly recommend.
