“Avoid at All Costs: A Nightmare in Every Respect”
I regrettably stayed at Hotel Gloria and can confidently say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.
🛏️ Filthy Mattresses & Unprofessional Staff
The mattresses were absolutely filthy—worn, stained, and clearly unmaintained. When we contacted the hotel manager about this, we were blamed by them for the state of the bedding—an outrageous response. Sadly, I’m not alone in criticizing the poor cleanliness and unfriendly attitude: other guests have described the service as “very disappointing” and staff with a "total lack of service attitude" from check-in onwards.
🍽️ Subpar Dining & Cold Meals
Dinner offerings felt more like convenience-store food, bland and often served cold. This basic, tasteless fare fell far below what one expects even at a 3‑star establishment.
♨️ Wellness Amenities Are a Scam
The advertised sauna and whirlpool (even touted as a “pool”) are not included in the room price. You must pay extra each time to have them heated—and only for 30 minutes per use. Feeling misled is an understatement.
📺 Terrible TV & Limited Channels
The TV in the room was essentially unusable—only three German channels were available, rendering it almost pointless.
🚗 Parking Nightmare for Disabled Guests
There’s no designated accessible parking. The nearest parking spot is roughly 100 meters away—completely unsuitable for guests needing close, convenient access.
💥 Rude, Unaccommodating Staff
Rather than addressing complaints professionally, staff responded with hostility. We were spoken to rudely and our concerns were dismissed outright. Again, other reviews cite an “unprofessional hotel manager” and “no customer service at all”.
Overall Verdict
This hotel is grossly substandard on every level. The only redeeming feature was its beautiful location with a view of the lake—but that alone does not justify the exorbitant price, poor service, dirty conditions, and deceptive amenities.
Absolute no-go. Stay far away. Finger off

We’re happy we chose Hotel Gloria in Molveno because we were right next to the lake shore and had great views from the balcony. Overall good value for money, and friendly staff.

The hotel is amazing quiet on front of the lake with balconies that have a beautiful lake view .
The place is authentic , if you want to have a different experience please try this place

Our experience at Gloria was some an up and down.
Up: awesome located, super close to the lake, gorgeous view from (most) balconies. Room amenities are ok for 3 stars, bit renovated. Parking for free close to the hotel. Sauna available and in good condition.
Down: Breakfast was average- many things often empty (not high Season).
Dinner is ok, but very limited in time (1930-2015). Going to some of the nice restaurants around is way more convenient.
Staff short on speaking English, makes it tricky on some topics or when help is needed. They try to be friendly, but somehow some of them aren't from the heart. Strict rule to leave room key at the front desk is super inconvenient and not up to date (it's our privacy if we are at the room or not). Looking closer at the room- lose cables, noisy toilet fan, safe only with a huge key, etc.
All in all for some days it's ok for sleeping, but don't expect too much.

Beware! Website might be a scam!
Booked via their website. Was given no option for payment by credit/debit card, only direct bank transfer. Nothing quite says internet scam quite like 'hey, transfer lots of money directly to this international bank account'.
I cancelled immediately, only to get a demand for a cancellation fee!

È un bel hotel immerso nel verde vicinissimo al lago con giardino attrezzato per gli amanti della tintarella, ottima posizione, camera grande con altrettanto grande terrazzo, personale gentilissimo, ottima colazione... Ci torneremo !!!

Hotel in an excellent position very close to the lake. Large rooms with sofas and armchairs, panoramic terrace; park with deck chairs and loungers, outdoor whirlpool, sauna. Cleanliness and friendliness from all the staff. To go back!
