Excellent breakfast & extremely accommodating staff

This is a very unique hotel, it has a real 70s vibe however, don't get me wrong it also has a real charm. From the elevator down to the beach, to the tropical plants, to the hand paintings to the live music at night. Very quaint. Dinners and breakfasts were good as well. I did find they didn't speak much English and catered more to older German clients. Oh and it does have a nice view of Stromboli...

My husband and i stayed for 7 nights and we absolutely loved everything anout this place...the beautiful gardens ...the pool ..spectacular views from our sea view room ...the refreshing beach at Parghelia ...amazing sunsets...comfy beds..quiet place...good breakfast and dinner was great too...friendly lind staff...thank you for making our stay a memorable one ..we highly recommended il villagio pizzuta...

The park is wonderful with lots of plants and flowers from various parts of the world. All is well maintained on a daily basis. Personnel is friendly and professional. Breakfast is very good even if not various with the same food and beverages every day. Some improvement should be done for lunch and dinner giving more room to local food and a broader choice in the menu. Beach is very nice and clean...

Second visit to this lovely hotel. Friendly staff and professional staff, Stefania, Michele, Gianni, Alice, Vincenzo and all the others. Nice pool area & bar, lovely beach. Also the sister hotel Piccolo has a nice rooftop bar, manned by the ever smiling Michael. Very nice food. Highly recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

This is our third stay at Hotel Tirreno and it was just as pleasant as the previous visits. The hotel is immaculate, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the beautiful town of Tropea is magical. The restaurant at the hotel is very good, offering many different choices. We booked the holiday through TUI as we thought it would be an ideal location to celebrate a special birthday. The Hotel is set back nicely off a quiet road. Upon arrival we received a pleasant welcome and were shown to a Junior suite which had a nice size terrace, plenty of chairs and a view of the mountain. Could be Fantastic but.... Great Facility but needs some maintenance... Door handles are falling off AC leaking badly Walls are thin Says no smoking but had to close balcony door because the rude neighbor was a chain smoker.

Reasonably good hotel The stay was short but the dinner food we got was sub standard and expensive for what it was. Breakfast was much better. Overall service at reception was friendly

Nice hotel. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Huge lounge bar and restaurant. Excellent food. Nice pool and pool bar. However the hotel is located near a road, away from everything… you can’t even walk to the beach for example. They do have a shuttle service to and from it. Spectacular sunsets and if you’re lucky, from the last floor you can see Stromboli at sunset

Room with a magnificent view - of the coastline and Stromboli. Well appointed with good pool. Very friendly and attentive service. Half board food was outstanding - both breakfast and 3 course dinner. Transport to and from nearby beautiful Tropea was gratis, but with set times. Walking from the hotel in any direction not recommended - and dangerous!

Pros: perfect for couples. Parking available. Amazing view. Private and quiet. Attentive staff. Cons: the building and the common areas need maintenance and some love. The AC in our room did not work properly. They only give you one keycard, so the AC turns on when you come in to the room. Not ideal after spending the day at the beach or in town.

The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the Parghelia train station/approximately €1 train ride to Tropea. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, but be close to Tropea this is a good option. We often didn’t see a need to leave the resort as the food was great, amenities were decent, and staff is friendly (especially the restaurant staff).

Beautiful stay. Continental breakfast was delicious and dining/bar staff are wonderful. On property beach is amazing but be prepared to walk downhill to it. Great amenities

Great place to stay Great hotel in good location. We enjoyed the pool area and the access to the sea. Staff was very friendly and service minded and the breakfast assortment was rich with great variety. Access to the beach club incl shuttle from the parking are was a great bonus. We can highly recommend this hotel. Be aware that pets are welcome!

A very very nice place where to go close to Tropea A very elegant but simple hotel with fanastic sea view. Swimming pool nice and very clean. Service is really excellent and all people very kind and helpful.

Oasis of peace Beautiful, quiet retreat just a short 5 min taxi ride into bustling Tropea. We had 3 rooms but some were much smaller. The resort is a retreat for peace. But note: no store on site, limited access to food only during meal times & the beach is a climb down, very small & no service only chairs & umbrellas. Still a great spot. Pool is beautiful!

Stunning property nestled on a hillside that slopes down to the sea! Lush greenery and well-kept gardens. In such a beautiful location, you'd expect the same level of service, which isn't there; especially when it comes to beach services, there's plenty to do; for example, the bar opens at 10:00 a.m.

We are on our last day of stay in this hotel. Generally it is a boutique type of the hotel with small rooms (about 18-19?square meters) located in bungalows. If you would put the two suitcases on the floor, you would take out almost all floor space avaulable. They say, that bungalows are located in a green park. Unfortunately, the otherwise wonderful place is spoiled by the terrible animation program, there is no escape from its loud noise. If you want to enjoy beautiful and peaceful mornings and evenings and sleep with the window open, this hotel is definitely not for you!

I was with my wife for the long weekend on June 2nd. The facility is fantastic, the staff super friendly and helpful, you eat a fairy tale. I recommend it for all this and not only because there is the possibility of going to the third most beautiful beach in Italy, Michelino. A must see because it is beautiful. We will definitely be back, because it was an enchanting 3 days.

Welcome to Parafiso. Family-run villa with 8 rooms in all splendid furnishings and outdoor spaces that directly overlook the beach, private and with umbrellas, within an exclusive and very quiet residential co text. Very kind and friendly staff, you can have lunch and dinner with dishes chosen day by day in agreement with customers. A fairy tale!!!!

I can think of two types of people who dislike this place. Either you came here with really messed up expectations, or you’re really a bitter person. Anyway, for the rest of us, this place is amazing. The beach is perfect, the food is really good, clean rooms and Martina is the greatest host. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

It is a family-run private villa with a small number of guests, so tranquility and privacy are assured. The beach in front is for the exclusive use of the villa of the adjacent luxury hotel so no confusion. The simple but refined cuisine changes every day as requested by the guests. To be hypercritical, one could make a note of the dimly lit room furnished in a classic style, refined but not very practical...

First on how to get there: The Hotel is Part of a closed compound called Porto Pirgos, which has it's main gate on the SS522. In order to enter you need the gate Guardian to be there. A lovely little hotel with fantastic staff. All were super friendly & efficient,from the people who worked on reception, those who worked in the bar/ restaurant at breakfast and the cleaners. Let me start with Hotel Piccolo’s good points. The food, which as we all know is a very important part of a holiday was very good. The fish and pasta were the best I have eaten in any Italian hotel that I have stayed. Portions were on the small side for main course and sweet, twice in the week we were served melon as a sweet. This small hotel was so nice, clean and the service was great. Hotel room was good size and the roofteracce was a great place to take sun and eat breakfast. Every day there was transfer to the beach and Tropea Old town, severall times a day.

Amazing holiday at this small and friendly hotel. All staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble to ensure our holiday was unforgettable. Alexandro helped me arrange train trips to Pizzo and Scilla. The shuttle bus driver was brilliant and our cocktail bar man on the terrace I wanted to bring home with me. Missing Calabria already - it’s been less than 12hrs. Xx

Simply amazing stay at this beautiful place. The hosts are lovely and super helpful. Lovely varied breakfast served at your private terrace, overlooking a mature garden and the sea. Enjoyed strolling the roads of quiet Parghelia after dinner at one of the local restaurants. The beach here is truly beautiful and clean, one can see fish swimming around. We were 3 nights in Villino Eleonora. Everything was VERY fine. The sorroundings, the house and the garden are beautiful. The owner of the Bed @ Breakfast, Alessandro and his wife were very friendly and helpful and served everyday a delicious breakfast, so we enjoyed our stay in Villino Eleonora very much.😊😊😊👍👍👍

Authenticity with nice touches Kind helpful family, private buildings away from main home with garden and terrace for the single room (I had) and with lush local flora, quality fittings in rooms and traditional decor. Incredible breakfast. You can walk to Tropea in 15 mins or get the train (10 mins from the BnB). Off-road place to park car if necessary.

Villino Eleonora is a gem in Calabria, which offers the visitor a retreat from a busy world. The accommodation is set in tranquil gardens, and from the patio, one can see Strombolli, as it gives a gentle and occasional puff!
